Hawaii Elite Chiropractic

Was having a hard time sleeping because of back pain and numbing in my leg, as result I had less energy throughout the day and my attention span was almost nonexistent. Being a marketing business consultant that’s never good. I went to my pcp and he gave me pills and said if that didn’t work I might need to look into back surgery. I’m 33, no to back surgery, so I decided to seek a chiropractic alternative. Looked on Groupon for deals since my medical didn’t cover chiropractic care. After narrowing down the Groupons in my price range, I looked up each Dr. via Unilocal and settled on Hawaii Elite Chiropractic.
Dr. Ohira is INCREDIBLE! After the first adjustment I slept like a baby. Everything didn’t go away at once but each visit has yielded noticeable improvement. He’s ‘crack for my back’ lol and I SUPER RECOMMEND him.
I’ve just finished my 3^rd visit and waited to write a review just to make sure my encounter was going to be consistent, and I’m so glad it has been. I’m now going to see him for the next 6 months to help me really fix the problems I’m experiencing. (Take that PCP with your pills and surgery recommendation!)

Sitting in the waiting room, I know that soon I’ll be feeling 100x better than when I arrived! Dr. Shaun Ohira and his staff are extremely friendly and professional… not to mention high-​tech (you self-​check-​in on an iPad!)

I’ve been going to Dr. Zukeran since July 2014. He was originally with Hawaii Chiropractic Clinic.
I originally found Dr. Zukeran through a groupon. It was my first time to a chiropractor. He was very nice and explained everything thoroughly.
He’s located in the Aiea Medical building. I usually park in the back lot (pass aiea medical and take the next left on Lilia pl.). the office validates for the first 30 minutes. My last appoint ran a little longer than 30 minutes and I only paid $ 1. the back lot u believe is cash only… if you park in the main lot I’m not sure if you can pay differently.
He does share the office with a couple others, but he’s has his own private adjustment room.
He’s very knowledgeable and cares for your overall wellbeing.

Dr. Ohira is awesome. About two months ago I injured my serratus anterior muscle lifting weights and needed to see a chiropractor. The pain was pretty intense. I’ve never been to a chiropractor and called around, but nobody would take a new patient that quickly. Finally, I got a hold of Dr. Ohira. I went to see him about an hour later and he was easily able to identify my injury and got to work fixing me up. After our session, the pain level never went back to what it was prior to my visit. He said it’d be about 6 weeks until I felt 100% and you know what, six weeks later is when the pain was gone.
Dr. Ohira is not only a chiropractor, but a personal trainer. He gave me a lot of advice on weight lifting that I’ve incorporated to help keep myself injury free.
I’d highly recommend seeing Dr. Ohira if you’re in need of Chiropractic services. He’s very knowledgable and friendly.

At the risk of sounding too good to be true, I have to say that Dr. Ohira is the best chiropractor I have ever been to (and he is the fifth one I’ve tried). The first visit was a little more expensive than I wanted, and I was worried, but he spent a full hour going over my issues and at the end I felt like I had got my money’s worth and finally found a chiropractor that actually wanted to help me fix my problems.
I’ve been to him several times now and I’m completely happy with him. He doesn’t just adjust in 2 minutes and send you on your way. If I have a spot that still hurts, he will go back and work on it until it’s gone. He adjusted my knee today and may have fixed a problem that’s been bothering me for over a year.
Bottom line– if you want a chiropractor that will work with you to get you feeling better, give him a try. You won’t regret it.

I had a back injury from surfing a while back. After seeing Dr. Ohira and having routine adjustments done I noticed a huge change in the pain i was feeling. He also showed me a few core exercise techniques to strengthen my back. I wondered why Doc was so knowlegable on exercise as well. I found out that he was a physical fitness coach for years prior to becoming a Chiropractor. This is just what i need because im really active and love to play sports. I feel like I have the best of both worlds with Dr. Ohira. He really knows his stuff and takes time out to care for my needs. Mahalos Doc!
