I had such a great experience getting my brows done here! I used to get my eyebrows threaded all the time when I lived in Nebraska for college and needed to find a local place back home that I could trust. I just found my place!
I used to pass this stand all the time at Pearlridge but never bothered to actually try them out. Eyebrow threading was $ 17 (which is a little more expensive than what I used to pay for), but based on the thorough job, it was completely worth it.
Ozzy was the name of the technician that took care of me. When I got to the stand, I was told to write down my name and number and that it would be about a 30 – 40 min wait so I definitely would stop by here first on your shopping trip to get your name written down if there is a wait. Ozzy ended up calling me earlier than the expected 30, so that was awesome!
As for my brows and threading experience, I warned her that I always tear up when I get threaded and she told me to pull my eye as tight as possible to make it more painless. And it worked! This was the least painful threading experience I’ve ever had! And no tears were shed! Obviously it’s gonna hurt a bit because you’re getting hair ripped out of you, but this experience was cake compared to prior experiences at other places. The experience lasted less than 10 min and my brows were perfect!
I will definitely come back again to get my brows done and I think I’m going to try get them tinted next time. Ozzy is great and I’m so happy that I finally took the chance to try them out! $ 17.80 well spent!

The wait is long sometimes, but my eyebrows are always amazing

First time threading and sad to say I didn’t have a good experience at all. First off, I ended up waiting longer than what I should have because of miscommunication amongst the staff about who was next (FYI there’s a sign up sheet so I don’t know how confusing that could be?). Then while I was getting my eyebrows threaded she sliced my lid twice and didn’t even once apologized, all she said was that «sometimes that happens because the threads are sharp like scissors». Then lastly I noticed many loose hairs even after I had told her about the missed ones.
I just didn’t have a great experience, I would rather wax than do this type of service again.

Came here yesterday to randomly get my sisters eyebrows done. Wanted to try threading because its becoming more of a popular trend. The lady was awesome! Simple kiosk with prices displayed appropriately. My sisters eyebrows are cleaner and finally has an arch!
I would have given 5 stars but the worker didn’t really have much to say on what threading was or what she was going to do or the process or what the different options were. Walked up, asked if we could get her brows done and she said «yes, have a seat» and boom! Got right to work no questions asked except how my sister wanted it to look like. Maybe we should’ve asked questions… but we didn’t really know what we were getting into so we just went with the flow. Overall, she was nice and really professional! Will return!

I have been a loyal costumer since Just Threading opened up a booth at Hickam AFB. I had never had any issues until recently. As usual, I got my eyebrows done but noticed that this time around the technician didn’t spend a lot of time on me. I figured maybe my brows were not too bad after all. She did give me the mirror to check and I glanced and didn’t noticed anything unusual. However, the next day when I was doing my make up, I noticed that one of my eyebrows was shorter than the other. I figured the tech must of missed it so I called their office asking if I could come back the next day and get it fixed. I never heard from them… It’s been two months and I m still waiting for a phone call.

Ok. Whoever said threading is less painful than waxing must be a masochist, because threading is NOT pleasant. I decided to try threading because my eyebrows were looking reckless. After seeing my boyfriend thread his from time to time, I thought no big deal, I can do that ALL DAY ERRRRRRYDAY… fast forward to today and I was wrong! After looking for this place and finally finding it inside the mini mall in Aiea, I went inside as we saw there was nobody there. My boyfriend and our little one made themselves comfortable on the couch as I thought I had this in the bag when I sat down on the chair. I told the girl it was my first time, she said no biggie that it will be quick. In my mind I’m like oh righttt all day errrrryday. She told me I had to stretch the skin, which I felt like I was putting pressure on my eyeball, but whatever. She then starts sliding the thread and I thought «that’s it? Easy peasy lemon squeezey!» until she pulled the thread the opposite way and boy let me just say it was not a good feeling at all. Picture a thick thread coming at you grazing over your skin at the speed of lighting… yea no joke. As I was tearing up like crazy I maintained my big girl attitude and managed to sit still until the torture was done. The girl did a great job and I actually do like the shape of my brows, price was $ 17.80. Will I do it again? Maybe. And that’s a very strong and long stretch maybe, but Unilocalers trust me when I say if you aren’t allergic to wax then waxing is your BFF.

This place used to have good ladies working there. Now they have the same girl and she is terrible. She threads eyebrows painfully slow and always has the «will be back» sign up. Lots of better places. Very unprofessional and dirty.

The last time I had my brows groomed at a nail parlor ended in minor wax burns. I needed the hairs removed, not part of my skin, too. Since then I’ve been maintaining my own brows with my trusty tweezers, but I’m no master in clean lines. It was time to get these babies properly groomed.
The mini mall located on the second floor of Aiea Shopping Center is pretty dead. Walked in to Lehua who was immediately ready for me. I told her about my first time getting my eyebrows threaded over 10 years ago in the Philippines when I was in middle school & haven’t done it since because it made me tear profusely. But then again, my brows were virgin. She assured me I could handle it & even though I’ve a high pain tolerance, I shed a tear or two during the process. The technique is essentially a piece of twisted thread swept against the skin to remove hairs more precisely. It took less than 10 minutes.
I don’t have natural thick brows, so I do like the thinner brow style which was what I ended up with. There was no initial consultation about what I wanted in terms of brow shape & how thick or thin I’d like them because my brows already held a certain shape, but make sure you let them know from the start if you’re not into thin brows. From now on, there’ll be no more neglect for my brows – threading is the way to go.

I have very sensitive skin and blessed with fuzzy eyebrows. Waxing, no matter the temperature, seems to always burn me. Hence, threading. No heating what so ever. People say, but they put the string in their mouth. Hello?! It not always held in the mouth… My lady doesn’t & she’s the best. Tip: come early and be ready to wait. Sometimes you might have 4 people in front of you but it is definitely worth the wait… Friendly staff… I Love it!

I LOVE this place. The ladies are very welcoming and professional. my brows are amazing! Ozzy did my brows quickly and they turned out PERFECT.!! prefer JUST THREADING rather than 808Threading. because of the lighting is brighter, its done in a privacy, and not to long of a wait!

After being forced to find a new threading company last year, I stumbled upon this place. Been going here since the beginning of the year now, and the girls here are all very nice and know what they’re doing with the eyebrow shaping business. I just recently finally met the owner and got my first thread from Ozzy this past weekend, and she was just amazing! My eyebrows pretty much suck at growing at this point, which meant for me to have ugly shaped eyebrows, but she somehow made a nice arch out of barely any hair and then filled it in with powder before I left, to show me how to fill it in every day.
There’s a lot more privacy at this Aiea shop in comparison to most of the kiosks in the malls. I would suggest to call ahead to schedule an appointment but I’ve been able to walk in a few times and get seen right away too. Definitely come here to get your eyebrows threaded!

It was my first time trying out this place in Aiea & one of the workers did a great job with my eyebrows! Always book an appointment because it could get pretty full!

Wow I’m impressed. Went here for the first time today on a whim thanks to Unilocal.I’ve never had my brows threaded before. But Erica was so quick and friendly. I told her I know nothing about eyebrow threading and she calmly explained it to me. While listening to Christian music in the background, which was awesome, my eyebrows were done! Seemed like 5 minutes! I looked at them and I was so amazed. My eyebrows were so nice and clean and well shaped! Didn’t hurt at all. It’s $ 17.80 per session. I will be back in a few weeks! Thanks again! They are located right next door to ice garden. If you have kids there is a little play area.

I went to the kiosk in the Schofield PX. It was $ 17 for brows. They also have a 2 for $ 30 promotion going on if you bring a friend! Too bad I didn’t catch the name of the lady who threaded my brows.
At first I felt kind of awkward because the lady didn’t really acknowledge me or talk much. Then again, it might’ve been the language barrier since she had a heavy accent. There was no one waiting went I stopped by so I was able to get my brows done right away. Since it was slow she spent a lot of time perfecting my brows. I was a little skeptical at first because I didn’t get to see how it was coming along at all and the lack of communication, but the finished product exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised that they turned out exactly how I wanted :)
I’ve been trying a lot of different brow places lately and none of them made me feel as happy and satisfied as this place!

Im really having mixed feelings about this place. The prices here are pretty decent. You would pay $ 17 to have your eyebrows threaded or bring a friend and get the oh so awesome special of 2 for $ 30. 5 stars for that.
On my recent visit here I decided to walk in and hope they wouldn’t be too busy. I was greeted immediately by a super nice lady who was in the middle of threading her client’s eyebrows (not like that mattered right).
The friendly lady asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for the following day or be back sometime around 4pm. I figured okay she must be busy so Ill just make a appointment for the following day. Not only did I schedule myself in for a appointment but I also decided to bring along my boyfriend so he could do his eyebrows and we would be able to get that special.
So we came in the following day at our appointment time hoping we would be able to keep our appointment. As soon I walked in she told me that there were still 2 people ahead of us before she could get to us. i was pretty disappointed but I told myself to just be patient cause patience is a virtue.
Ozzy was the lady that did our brows (We’ve gone to her before). She’s bomb at doing eyebrows but is only in on a certain day. She threaded my bf’s eyebrows super nice. Then it was my turn. She usually does a really good job with my brows. This time tho kinda threw my feelings out of wack.
Started off real good until a friend? came in while she was threading my left brow. She stopped to greet her friend and then she continued to pluck my right brow. During this she kept a conversation (in a different language) with her friend. Before I knew it my session was done and she barely touched my left side.
Looking in the mirror I noticed that she took a lot out of my right brow. But you know hair is hair and it will grow back right. So I guess I’m not too mad. But i really feel like this place needs to seriously work on their customer service, find a better solution to keeping their client’s appointment times, and learn to value their client’s time.
So here I am stuck in the middle of these stars. Ill update soon. I know this place can do better! :)

Christi did an amazing job on my eyebrows! Not only was the service great I also felt like I was talking to a friend. She is so friendly most positive person I’ve met in Oahu. I’ve never had my eyebrows shaped the way she did, but they turned out really nice!

I’ve always heard about people threading their eye brows. I have never gotten it done here in Hawaii. This past weekend I was in dire need to get my eye brows fixed because chewbacca was growing and I couldn’t stand it anymore.
When I got there, there were 3 people waiting before me and one was getting serviced. I would’ve thought there would’ve been more people it being a Saturday. I had to wait about 30 minutes for the other 3 people plus the one in the chair getting serviced. It wasn’t a bad or long wait.
I like threading better than waxing. It isn’t painful to me like waxing is and I find it pretty neat that they can shape eyebrows and cut the hair with thread. They always clean after each customer and use new threads. It is priced fairly good $ 17. Right now they have a special for you and a friend $ 30 to get your brows threaded.
I wish I knew the name of the girl that serviced me she did a good job. At least I remember what she looks like so the next time I go back I can go to her.

I’ve been curious about threading since I felt that waxing was making my brows too thin and decided to try this place since it’s nearby where I live. So glad I found this place!
It was a surprising busy when I got there, about 3 other people ahead of me and more people coming in but I was still able to get a walk-​in appointment. There was only one lady (I didn’t get her name) at the time so there was a bit of a wait before I was seen but she was worth the wait! She was super nice and absolutely GREAT at threading. She really listens to what you want and makes great suggestions on how to properly shape your brows.
I would say that threading is a little more painful compared to waxing since the hair is taken off bit by bit rather than all at once. However, your skin afterwards is not left feeling raw or irritated and I didn’t feel like I had to wash my face to get rid of any leftover wax! I was a little concerned at first that she made my brows a little too thin but they turned out with a great shape, I was so happy and impressed!
I would recommend making an appointment if you don’t have spare time to wait around to see someone, it’s usually busy in there everyday.
One later trips to this place I found the service to be a little… sketchy. One girl was super quiet at shy but did a fantastic job and listened to what I wanted. Another girl did everything I said I didn’t want– too thin!!! I guess it just depends on you who get at the time.

This review is for their eyebrow threading service. I usually go to Ala Moana to get my brows threaded but I didn’t have time. I came here because I wanted a quick fix and sadly, that’s what I got. I went to the Aiea location and was able to walk in without a wait. There were two ladies available to do the threading. Not too much of a warm welcome, but at least I was able to sit down right away. I feel like there wasn’t much of a consultation regarding the shape of my brows or how thick I want it, etc.
I should have asked to see a mirror in the middle of the process because I felt like a lot of hair was coming off. You always should follow your instinct. I’m sure the lady that was threading my brows was practicing or new to threading because the other lady had to come by and check her work and even come in at the end to clean everything up. I understand people need practice to get better, but I don’t appreciate being practiced on. This place may work for some people, but it didn’t work for me. No more quick fixes, I learned my lesson and will stick to my usual place. The whole time I felt uncertain of how it would turn out, and was disappointed with the arch shape at the end. It was a bit of an impersonal experience; they should work with you to get the shape you want. My thick brows are now THIN, not worth the $ 13.50 charged.

Before threading, there was waxing. Before waxing, there was plucking. Before plucking, no one really cared about the shape of your eyebrows. But since it’s the 21^st century, might as well get on the bandwagon.
I’ve only tried waxing once and did not like the feeling of the heat from the wax or the way my skin felt a few days after. A couple years later, I tried threading for the first time while visiting a friend in Vegas at a $ 4.99 special grand opening. Since then, I was hooked.
Well the prices in Hawaii is not $ 4.99 but neither is milk, so I needed to find a place. Found Just Threading when it was first located at a kiosk in Windward Mall, then they opened up at Pearlridge. And now they’re located in the Aiea Shopping Center. I must always go at the perfect time because I’ve never had to wait. There’s usually 2 people but the owner is due to give birth this week to her first child so now there’s just one worker for the time being. So best to call to see if she’s busy or to make an appointment.
I appreciate that the utensils she uses are visibly sterilized. This location is very family friendly. There are 2 sofas for your husband and 2 older sons to wait, and toys for your 3 young children to play with along with magazines and books. The process takes no longer than 10 minutes. Then after you’re done, treat the family to Ice Garden next door :-)
Tip: If you plan on visiting this location for your threading, bring a friend as there is a special 2 for $ 22.
