Kazu Couture

A cute blouse in the window caught my eye and drew me into the store. It was an asymmetrical top with a glittery design and a beaded strap. When it comes to glitter and bling, I have no choice but to investigate. The store screamed urban-​chic, flossy and glam.
The left side of the store held women’s blouses/​dresses/​tops and the right side of the store had a bunch of neat men’s shirts, mostly long-​sleeved, with trendy graffiti-​looking designs on it (I was going to mention a particular brand/​artist but decided not to ;-)
The salespeople were very attentive and not pushy. I asked how long Kazu Couture has been here and he replied «five months». He stated most locals come here to shop *before* they go to Las Vegas, as I commented on the really fancy jet-​set clothes offered. Black sleek Kimono-​top blouses that could double as a dress (if you had the figure for it); fancy evening dresses studded with pearls, gold chains and sequins.
The dressing room was tiny but that didn’t stop me from squeezing in with my son, who made embarrassing remarks about my hairy-​ness, my fat tummy, the dress that was too revealing and showed my «boobies». I could hear the sales people chuckling at some of my son’s remarks. We were only separated by a curtain. I am sure they heard me say «SHHH!!» many times.
I walked out with a beautiful satin asymmetric blouse top. I was told there were only 5 and I got one of them. I said «oh good, no one else will have a blouse like mine» and they said «true, we don’t re-​order anything, so you’ll have one of five on the whole island».
I wish their website showed more of their products. I guess I need to be patient and give them more time. This store sits on the second floor of the Pearlridge Shopping Center sandwiched between Tapestries and another shop I can’t remember. I know I’ll be back.
