O2 Martial Arts Academy offers Relson Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu, Kickboxing, Kali-​Escrima, and Wrestling classes taught in a family friendly environment for adults and children. Our classes are for beginners with absolutely no experience as well as advanced martial artists, athletes, and competitors. We are the first Relson Gracie Association in the world and have been in business since 1995 so we have the extensive teaching experience. Also, the majority of our instructors are also college graduates which also sets us apart from other Martial arts schools. We have Five Relson Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu Black Belts teaching at our academy. History

Established in 1995.

At the height of the Gracie Revolution which is when the UFC was on the rise and Royce Gracie was winning the titles, everyone wanted to start taking Jiu-​Jitsu. Relson Gracie had a waiting list of over 100 people to take classes. He hand picked four of his top students to extensively train to teach to open his first school not taught by himself. Chris and Mike Onzuka, the owners of O2 Martial Arts Academy, are two of only four instructors in the Relson Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu Association worldwide that were trained to teach by Relson Gracie. O2 Martial Arts Academy has trained many champions in Jiu-​Jitsu and then expanded their offerings with Kickboxing, Kali-​Escrima, and Wrestling classes by bringing in master instructors to teach these classes who have built Kickboxing and MMA champions. All the instructors also cross train under each other so each class is able to introduce the other arts. Also, the tuition structure is such that the members can mix and match the classes they take.

Michael O.

Business Owner

Michael is a 3^rd degree black belt in Relson Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu and Co-​owns O2 Martial Arts Academy with his brother Chris, a 2^nd degree black belt. He has competed in the World Championships 4 times in Brazil, the Pan American Championships, and many state championships. He is also a brown belt in Judo, as well as trained in wrestling, Kickboxing, and Kali-​Escrima. Mike has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is married with three sons. He formally wrote for Full Contact Fighter magazine and runs Onzuka com, one of the most popular Hawaii Martial arts websites. He is a judge and referee for the majority of the MMA events in Oahu and also referees Jiu-​Jitsu and Submission Wrestling competitions.
