Pretty good! Well, I just had the Las Vegas roll and a small Asahi. The roll was all around tasty and tempura-d to perfection. When I was done the waitress brought me out a watermelon slice. I always enjoy some fruit on the house. Some of the specialty rolls were a bit pricey but I guess that’s normal for somewhere out in the middle of nowhere.(I’m from LA) I just finished the last bite and it was great! The waitress was very cordial to me as a customer and asked if I wanted another roll before bringing my check. I also like the little store attached.

Well, strange little place. Sweet waitress. Food was questionable. My friend vomited our $ 100.00+ bill in their bathroom. I did not get sick but we won’t go back… Sorry. It was recommended by an other friend. Ugg.

Slightly different since Sushi Yama and Charlie went downtown, more atmosphere than quality of food. He really brings life to the place. The Pros: The hamachi and some of the fish is still the some of the best you get in Spokane. They still bring in fresh fish from the coast weekly and don’t be shy to ask. The OKs: The other food is average/above average. I had the Agedashi Tofu Bento with a side of hamachi and toro sashimi. The hamachi and toro were delicious. The bento was ok. The tofu and tempura were slightly on the soft side, not soggy but not as crisp as I like. The Cons: The restaurant is small and can feel cramped. It’s a little dated inside. It is a bit pricey for where it is and its general appearance. I have been in nicer places for the same price but had lesser quality food. This should probably be a 3 ½ Star review overall but I will round up because I am sucker for hamachi that melts in your mouth.

I think there’s more of a selection at the Sushi Yama downtown, but this place isn’t bad at all. I love that it’s so close to where I live. My friend and her super-duper cute little 2 year-old met me here one afternoon. Not another patron in the whole place. But I prefer restaurants that way. I ordered the Tiger Roll and my friend got some vegetable tempura and a side of rice. I didn’t bother to ask what was in the Tiger Roll, I love sushi that much. I was still a little hungry after my roll and was planning to order something else, but the server came back with our bill. That would probably be the one thing I was unhappy about. Other than that, pretty standard as far as sushi places go. Another friend has tried the Korean food here and said it was good. WIll have to come back and try it, if the sushi lover in me ever lets me.

We live closer to Charlie’s place on 3rd in Spokane but coming from Fairchild we decided to check it out. It’s a small quaint place with the attached Asian market that has a few things I will go back to purchase. The food was good and we definitely hit it on an off day, we were the only 2 in there for lunch… of course this is saying they have an on day. If your in the mood for Japanese or Korean, and your near it, the food makes up for being a small quaint feel of a place and of course the places in Airway Heights don’t exactly call for high class as it is.

«Horrible Horrible place! Over priced food, if they even show you the prices. And the owner is rude to her staff and customers! I will NEVER go back.»
