Our riders deliver food hotter, fresher, faster, and friendlier than any vehicle or app based service. It is our mission to support the health of the local economy by serving the interests of small businesses.

Darling is Alameda owned and operated and always will be. We are a truly local service so your dollars stay in town.

We are the most cost effective and Alameda friendly option for moving just about anything within the city limits (and parts of Oakland). Parcels, flowers, gifts, and cargo up to 500 lbs-​you name it! We also service routes. All without the use of vehicles.

I used this service for awhile. I really wanted to support a local courier business. The owner Anton had a great idea; but he should have just been a courier and let someone else run the business. Seems like all orders were an issue. The owner’s financial issues really impacted his couriers in a negative way, which rolled over and impacted the service to the customer. Really hope a better courier service replaces this one.

Tonight was my first time to order delivery through DC&D to our hotel room at the Hampton Inn by Oakland Airport in Alameda.
I was ordering directly through the Lola’s Chicken Shack website. They happen to be a main partner with DC&D as well as a few other spots. My delivery guy called upon arriving to the hotel and asked if I was meeting him downstairs or if we wanted him to come to the room. He happily came to our room and informed me about the other restaurants we could order from directly through their site. Perfect news for us who will be living out of a hotel room for months on end. ;)
The food was still quite hot and we were all very happy with our meal.
The only knock… that I didn’t even realize until it was too late… was that we didn’t get one of our Coke Zeros, but, I can totally overlook it this time.
I’ll definitely order again and hope to establish a good relationship with them as I bet this will not be the last time I use their services!

This is a great new business! I wasn’t feeling like riding my bike to get food so I decided to order delivery. Then I found the Darling Courier service! They delivered the food for me, I paid with my credit card and the food was nice and hot! I’ll be using them again and again. Great service Darlings!

Anton is the bomb. By partner shattered both of his heels and we have been navigating a life with limited mobility and time for about 7 months now. If it weren’t for Darling we would have had a lot of pizza.
They are always timely.
The food is always warm.
If the order isn’t right he will make it right, no matter who’s fault it is.
It’s carbon free
The price is reasonable.

Yay! Thank you darling courier for the awesome food tonight. I was stuck in bed with a horrible back ache and hubby had a few beers –so we needed to order takeout. Hubby wanted chipotle so I mentioned DC… We called in, asked a few questions, and whala 45 minutes later we had the food we wanted. Thank you so much for this spectacular service! Is so nice to have more delivery options on the island :) we will definitely use DC again!

I love Darling Courier.. .it’s like having a fairy godmother grant your favorite wish and deliver it to you. Anton and his team as fast and furiously bringing food that is piping hot from ANYPLACE in Alameda your heart desires. The delivery rates are very affordable. And we’re not killing the environment. And sometimes they bring treats. And the delivery folks are mostly cute, too. :)

My wife and I used Darling Courier & Delivery to «order in» some delicious food from Café Q last night. If you visit their website, you will find very simple step-​by-​step instructions (like, stupid easy) to guide you through the process of ordering for delivery. The couriers are prompt, courteous, and cool. Furthermore, if I drove a Prius, I’d appreciate the fact that they use bikes for delivery, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preventing baby seals from being clubbed.

Very prompt on arrival. I ordered my food from Lola’s chicken shack on park st and I live all the way over on the Webster side of Alameda. I didn’t have to wait long at all and the food was still relativity hot. The owner is a pretty cool guy and I definitely would love to have more delivery guys like this one.

Learned about Darling Courier via Alameda Peeps —-community based page on Facebook. We like eating out, but prefer eating at home from time to time. Some of our favorite restaurants don’t deliver, so this service is an ideal solution.
Love that Anton is so personable, too. Food arrives piping hot, delivered with a smile.
And love that this is such a green solution to a real need. Less cars on the road. And we help support a local business.

NOW… add the fact they they are doing all this on a bicycle — taking cars off the road — and I’m looking around for the 6th star.
