History

Established in 2006.

The brainchild of Tiki aficionados Michael and Mano Thanos (co-owners of Oakland’s Conga Lounge and Pizza Rustica) and Tiki mixologist Martin Cate. The mission was to showcase quality Tiki cocktails and contemporary mixology in an authentic midcentury Tiki Lounge atmosphere. Cate left in 2008 and Thanos hired Will «the Thrill» Viharo as publicist/booker, as well as accomplished mixologists Suzanne Long and Susan Eggett, as managers.
