I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Christian yet! He did an amazing job moving me from Walnut Creek to Alameda. He took really nice care of my 65″ plasma and was fun to talk to and work with!

Christian worked me in on short notice, handled everything with care, charged a fantastic price, and gave good neighborhood tips. Would call him again, for sure. He got my stuff from the ABF U-​Pack terminal in Oakland to my Alameda apt.

Christian was fantastic. Him and his helper were full of energy throughout the entire loading process (we hired him to help us load U-​Pack containers). His methodology was a little confusing at first, but made sense once he explained it — they were going for the most packable items first in order to maximize the space in the container. It confused us because that left bits of stuff in every room of the house. My layman’s brain expected them to go one room at a time. But no matter, I felt like they got as much as they could into our containers.
Christian even had a last minute thought after they had left that he called to impart. It was very appreciated. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Christian and his crew helped me move recently and the experience was very stress-​free. First he was very punctual and the pre-​move communications were very good regarding how everything would work out. He even gave good advice on how to obtain No Parking signs and to post them next to or near the building. I would recommend Christian to anyone who needs their stuff moved and want a stress-​free experience.

I needed help unloading a Penske truck into a storage unit in Alameda. Christian showed up on time and we knocked it out in less than 1:30. He keeps a positive attitude and even brought a few waters to keep us hydrated. I just needed help with the big stuff, because my wife is very small and can’t lift much. So he and I moved all the heavy boxes and furniture.
I would highly recommend Goltry Moving Services for anyone who needs extra help with a move. I will probably use him when I need to move my things out of storage.

All I can say is that if you have to move and need someone quick, reliable, professional and totally cool — use Christian and his crew. We used them in April and I wish I had written my review sooner. Great and quick service, totally treated all of our stuff so well and was an overall pleasure to do business with. Use this company; you’ll be glad you did.

Christian is the MAN! He came with his helper today and moved all my stuff from my one-​bedroom apartment to storage in a timely careful and responsible manner. I barely had to lift a finger. He brought the moving truck and all the moving supplies we would need, and was honest and forthright about all costs to me as the client. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone that needs good professional moving help. I will be using him again in the future. Five stars all around!

Fantastic! Christian and his partner were on time (actually, a bit early, which was fine with me). As they moved our furniture, there were very upbeat and pleasant. The speed of the move was impressive too! They loaded up our two bedroom apartment in only two hours and unloaded in about the same amount of time. They continually asked if we needed any other work done; they took the time to mount a flat screen TV in our new place. Although, we have no plans to move anytime in the near future, we would gladly hire them again. We have moved several times in the past few years and Goltry is, by far, the best movers we have ever had. The price is right too.

After getting quotes for 5 other movers I came across Christian’s «man-​and-​van» moving service. Don’t hesitate one second to call him. He arrived early, with a helper and had the entire pile of boxes in our new place in no time and with zero damage. He’s a rock star and is the only person I trust to move my stuff from now on! Thanks Christian! Seriously, call him now.

I hired Christian to help me move last Saturday. For a start, it was very easy to arrange the details of the moving job with him. He got back to me quickly and was patient as I confirmed a few things.
Not only did Christian help me move the stuff I had to from three separate locations, he also had a huge amount of great advice and recommendations for me. By the end of the move I had everything done that I’d set out to do + had also managed to buy and move additional things that he told me about which I needed. This was incredibly helpful, as I was essentially furnishing a home with very little. It’s now 80% done and I couldn’t have done it without him.
Christian cares about his customers and is incredibly resourceful. He’s now my local go-​to guy in Alameda and I will definitely use him again.

Wow, I’m absolutely AMAZED by all of these 5 star ratings based on the lack of service I received today. As a matter of fact, he’s in the midst of refunding my PayPal payment as I’m typing. He very well may be an excellent laborer, but his communication skills are SORELY LACKING.
So, he was supposed to perform a small move (dining room set, lounge chair & bookcase) from Fremont to Vallejo, starting at 10 am. Granted, there was an issue with the outbound end not realizing she had two paypal accounts & supposedly not being able to access her payment. Christian asked me to call her, & she & I smoothed out the confusion thanks to an email sent to both of us by PayPal. She told me to let Christian know that we’re on, which I did; however, instead of his just commencing the move, he insists on calling her, as well… really?! I get off of the phone at 8:56 & tell him to TM me upon completion of his verification so that I can deposit his funds into PayPal; I receive a message at 9:12 telling me that if he doesn’t show payment by 9:30, we’d need to cancel & reschedule… smh «You wanted me to do job for you as scheduled when your seller didn’t receive her monies.» See Christian, that would imply that she hadn’t been paid prior to my setting up your services, which wasn’t ever the case… SHE HERSELF TOLD YOU THAT SHE’D RECEIVED $ 300, BUT COULDN’T ACCESS IT (which we discovered was due to her having TWO PayPal accounts); YOU tm’ed ME quoting the amount & forwarded the tm from her, asking me to reissue the payment to you to bring with you. WHY would I send you into or PAY YOU for a situation that doesn’t benefit ME?! Yet again, you may want to check you so-​called communication skills; being lied upon tends to piss people off.
I submit payment by 9:27, along with a note expressing my non-​appreciation of his time restraints; he then TM’s me back at 9:32 stating that he’s getting his equipment ready outside… why are you JUST getting equipment ready, seeing that you’re supposed to be in Fremont starting the move at 10!!! He then says he’s sorry I feel that way, & that maybe we should cancel the move & him refund my money. SO, he leaves me in a PINCH AND NOW HAS MY FUNDS TIED UP, as PayPal places a temp hold on refunds. Nope, I wouldn’t recommend his services to anyone, & I’m very disappointed that I trusted the ratings here… I may be a fluke, but it’s pretty major!

Christian was a fantastic mover. I asked him to do a cross country move from the Bay Area to Ohio. He is super friendly, professional, punctual and took extra good care of all the antique furniture that I had to move, taking special care to wrap all the furniture to protect it. If I need to do another move in the Bay Area, or cross country, Christian will be the first person I call.

Christian is diligent, honest, nice and professional. We were very happy to chose him to disassemble, move and re-​assemble a large PAX wardrobe from IKEA. We knew the diss-​assembly would be tricky, but he took as much time as he needed to make it happen without breaking nor damaging anything. Thank you Christian!!!

Excellent service — I had to move «staging» material unexpectedly and was referred to Goltry Moving by a local business owner. With less than a hour’s notice Christian was able to handle the move. Expertly handled, No Damages all with a smile.

Second move was just as awesome as the first from goltry moving services. After experiencing a break-​in robbery, Christian and his sidekick Allen got us out of there and into our new apartment quickly and efficiently with no stress. Last time we had hired them for labor only, but the second time since it was a very last minute move, they provided their own moving truck, packing materials, and blankets so we wouldn’t have to worry about any of that!
Christian is awesome at what he does. As awful as moving can be, his character and personality really makes it fun. And I love his dog Cherry! I will always be calling out to goltry moving services when in need to move stuff!

We were in dire need of a quick move and these guys came through in spades. Thanks be to the gods and goddesses for these guys!
I thought they were about as good as anyone could ask for, and both guys — Christian especially — had a great sense of humor. They were quick, on time, took excellent care in packing the truck and our storage space.
I’m glad to give these guys five stars. It’s not hyperbole. They really deserve it. And they’re not expensive, when you compare the competition.

Moving sucks SO MUCH! I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, I’m definitely calling Goltry!
I had about 2 weeks to find movers, and I was moving on Superbowl Sunday. I called a million (or maybe a dozen) movers who advertised on Craigslist. Half of them didn’t get back to me, and the other half were closed on Sunday or wanted more than I could afford. I’m so glad I called Christian next! These guys moved me from Fremont to Berkeley, and were speedy, careful, and courteous.
I had to hurry up and write this, because it’s quite likely I’ll be writing another one tomorrow. I’ve hired them to move a dresser to my new place!

Christian handled my move from Oakland to Richmond last week and did an incredible job. It took a bit longer than it should have in way of number of trips, but this was really my fault, as I was not clear about just how much we had to move, and I should have had him bring a truck instead of a cargo van. It was amazing to see how Christian made incredibly efficient use of space and just how much he could fit in a single trip. We did not get everything that day, but he came back the next day with his pickup truck and hauled the last load for me at an extremely reasonable price. One thing that I can say is that Christian really enjoys what he is doing and he took so much stress off of me with his professionalism and his sense of humor.
I would definitely recommend Goltry Moving Services and for the next move, they will be the ones I call!

I was referred to Christian at Goltry Moving by another moving company that did not have availability on the day I needed.
Christian was able to help with a last minute move. He and Raul were awesome — punctual, smart, efficient, careful, and friendly. Because my move was last minute I was still packing on moving day, but they remained patient and didn’t waste a minute.
I’ve moved 4 times in the past two years, and have seen a wide range in terms of quality of movers. I’d put Goltry at the top.
