We met Phillip before we had saved enough for our down payment at an open house where he was the selling agent. We told him we didn’t have the money yet but he spent time talking with us, telling us about the neighborhoods and the real estate market and treated us with respect which is unusual since we were in our 20’s. We took his business card and held onto it until we saved enough to buy a house. He was our buying agent and he was so great that we have recommended him to all our friends. What I like most about Philip is that he is a genuinely nice guy, not one of those realtors with super white teeth with a portfolio of glamour shots. Buying or selling a home is very personal and a important moment in your life and he will make it as positive of an experience as possible.

As first time home buyers in a challenging market, we ultimately worked with Philip for nearly two years before buying in Alameda. Philip was a chance meeting who became our trusted advisor.
Philip has excellent knowledge of Alameda, and when we thought Alameda was out of our price range, he helped us explore Oakland neighborhoods too. Before finding our home, we had several strong offers in good neighborhoods in Oakland that Philip helped us navigate.
Throughout these two years, Philip helped us understand the variables, from loan types to historical home considerations to school districts. He is professional and his instincts as an agent were so helpful to us, in fact — Philip pointed us to the home in Alameda we ultimately purchased, identifying it as a possibility after we had given up on our chance to live here.
It was also great to navigate our loan and closing to work with people who knew Philip, and therefore us, and wanted to make things as smooth as possible. It IS quite possible we had the smoothest and happiest house purchase/​closing experience we could have imagined. After being outbid so many times, it was refreshing. We are overjoyed as we settle in to our new home.
