Established in 1999.

A Touch of Pride was created in 1999 because Owner/​Operator Robert E. Lee identified a need for professional car care services to be brought to your home or work location. Not a new concept, but with his creative mechanical apptitude and now over 30+ years of experience, commitment and dedication to perfection, Mr. Lee has developed a unique process on how to preserve and maintain your most prized and favored Automotive Investments, and it extends past that! Mr. Lee specializes in Exotics, Customs and Classics but he refuses forget about your Kid & Pet Hauler, Daily Driver and Work Vehicles. He Also can help you detail or clean your Air Plane, Diesel Pusher, RV, 5th Wheeler, Motor Cycle, Boat or Military Vehicles. Mr. Lee’s concepts and practices support the highest level of quality and customer service unparrelled in the industry. Business Owner

Robert E. Lee, Owner/​Operator of A Touch of Pride Mobile Auto Detailing Services, has been involved in the auto care industry since he was 16 years old. Starting at a local car wash in Lafayette California, Robert started as a vacuumer in production and had to master all other areas of production before being introduced to the sales department where he broke 10 year old records the very first day he gave it a shot. By the time he reached 18 years old, he was invited to his first car wash build experience. He over looked site survey, building errection, equiptment installation, employee and management training and then proceeded to run almost every carwash & detail shop from here to Monterey. Mr. Lee has the experience necessary to provide you with unparalelled quality and customer satisfaction. His invested 30+ years of experience will prove to captivate you and engulf you with an experience you’ll be dying to tell your friends about. Ain’t a better ride than one with A Touch of Pride!

Not all detailers are created equal. After buying a used minivan with 11 years of kid and pet wear and tear I brought it to a pricey San Jose car place close to where the car was purchased. My kids could have done better than the $ 400 job they did. Thoroughly disgusted and disappointed with the dog fur/​odor and sunflower seeds that were left behind I decided to give A Touch of Pride a call out of convenience (close to where I work). Robert was very professional and knowledgeable, and he felt genuinely bad that I had been ripped off so badly. He even suggested I should go back and give them an opportunity to correct their mess. Not a chance of that and everything worked out great. Steven busted his butt and got the 2005 as close to new as physically possible. Odor, stains, and fur gone! These guys may not be a cheap car wash joint but you definitely get what you pay for (unless of course you go to that «nameless» ripoff pretender in San Jose… save that review for another day).

Very happy with Robert’s service. I put in an Internet inquiry and he left me a detailed voice-​mail the same day, describing his services. After discussing options over the phone, Robert came to my home for a detail. He came on time and was very courteous. He took the time to teach me a few things about upkeep of my black on black car. The car looks great. I was very relieved to have such a pleasant experience working with Robert. He is a professional and very kind.

Touch of Pride is by far the best mobile detailing company out there. (sorry Robert, this is long overdue). They go above and beyond every single time, they are affordable, reliable and very professional. The best thing, they come to you, easy to schedule and amazing work. The first time I met Robert, I just leased my car and on my way to work the lid of my coffee came off, let me tell you, coffee everywhere, cracks and crevices. I was new to my job, and they have already been using Touch of Pride for their fleet trucks and owners vehicles, pretty much everyone uses them… called them up and in no time, the interior was back to new. Hands down best car detailing company ever. Robert takes the time to make sure that everything is perfect and if you have a minute, great conversation as well. Thanks Robert!

Robert just finished detailing a new SUV for us and it is just amazing to see what he can bring out in paint and detail on even a new car. He is completely professional, always adheres to schedules and works tirelessly on the cars he services. Whether a supercar or an older car in need of a bit of love he always brings out the best. Products are fantastic and he never tries to sell you on more than you need and even goes out of his way to provide us with options and recommendations that save money. Robert was great to work with. I wanted to give an auto detailing as a gift to my boyfriend for his 2005 Lotus Elise. Robert made it look like new again. He went above and beyond to buff out a scratch free of charge. We hadn’t discussed it prior to the quote and he said he «just couldn’t leave it there» without doing something about it.
Scheduling was very easy. I contacted Robert through his website and he called me promptly, answered my questions, and worked with me to find a time where he could come to our home. I felt very good about the service he provided and the cost of the work. Thanks so much. My boyfriend is thrilled.

I have used Touch of Pride 3 times in the past 13 years. When I got a new Lexus the dealer wanted to sell me a «sealant». It needed to be renewed/​redone every 6 months and that sounded fishy to me. I called Robert at Touch of Pride and he not only came to my house to detail and seal my new car, but taught me how to maintain it as well. Being OCD, I loved that!
With my Robert approved products, I have kept my SUV looking like new all these years (it’s the 13 year old gold one you need sunglasses to look at). In 2012, my darling husband got me a Porsche Carrera and you know I called Robert the next day to perfect the finish before the clear bra coating was put on by Dan’s Customs. Again, perfection, but this time he had an awesome mobile rig that had everything but an espresso bar. Last week, as a surprise for my husband, I asked Touch of Pride to take on his 10 year old Honda Element, which he uses like a pick up truck – he is not OCD in the least and I have left his car alone all these years. Steven showed up with his mobile rig and spent 6 hours bringing it back to like new condition. My husband was thrilled and I am now happy to hitch a ride with him.
