History

Established in 2006.

Its been almost three years now since Aqua Salon and Spa has been established. It’s the most beautiful salon in the area. Stop by and see for yourself, take a tour or have a complementary consultation for any services.

Business Owner

With over 27 years of experience as a stylist, specializing in color and cutting. I have curly hair and understand how to cut and style it. I continue to educate myself and others by hosting classes in all aspects of the business. Certified in sexy hair extensions I can transform your hair to fuller, longer more youthful look in one day. Wedding styles either «in salon» or «on location». My passion for creating beautiful locks is bigger today than ever before. Obtaining my cosmetologist license in 1982 I started in a barber style salon, cutting mostly men, working on the details that make a mans haircut perfect. I moved to So. Ca and mastered foil highlighting. After many years moved back to the bay area, my focus went on hair coloring and the chemistry behind it. 2000-​01, I traveled back and forth to NY and NJ to learn a variety of styling techniques, products and ingredients to maintain the integrity of the hair. After returning to Nor. Ca in 2002, came the est. of Aqua Salon & Spa.

I had Tracy work on my hair for the first time. I wanted to let my hair grow out and had done my own trimming. She totally knew what I wanted! She cleaned up the back and shaped my hair to allow for grow out.
I will definitely go back to her. Thanks for such a great look!

Dee Dee did my lashes for a wedding I had to attend for the weekend. I wore the C curl 13, 14, 15 and they stayed on the entire time. I loved her room and the nice warm bed. Very nice salon and neighborhood. A quiet and peaceful procedure. It was worth every penny!

Very nice neighborhood salon. Staff friendly, facility clean. The one drawback is the lack of comfortable furniture and seating areas for waiting clientele. Chairs are awkward to sit in and some broken down. Really detracts from overall salon experience.

I have been going to Aqua Salon & Spa for the past 5 years & I must say that they are the best. The staff is all very polite & very friendly & the place is also very clean in all aspects of services offered. I see Shannon H. for my highlights & trims & she is fabulous. She really listens to you & what you want which is very important, especially for your hair. I also see Michelle for my waxing services, & again I must say she is very meticulous in what she does. And lastly I see Terri H. for my mani/​pedi & again I must give her a 5 star review, for the service she provides. She is very thorough in what she does, listens to what you want, & then provides you with the most excellent service in her profession. Overall I must say that this salon is one of the best in the business, & believe me over many years I’ve been to quite a few. And although maybe one or two of all the services I may have been satisfied with, I could never have said before that all the services across the board were all of excellent quality before. Aqua Salon & Spa is clearly the best in all areas!

Dee Dee works wonders. I usually get a size 11, 12, & 13 with sporadic 14s on the ends. I look so much more awake and don’t even have to wear eye liner or mascara.
Her room is very clean & very comfortable with cute hip wall décor. It takes 1.5– 2 hrs for fills, but Dee Dee is always making me laugh and the time goes by super quick! I will probably never go to another lash service, she is the Best & her quality work definitely shows!

Krystina George (she goes by George) is an awesome colorist and stylist! She does a great job with color, and I am picky about color and who does my hair so that is saying a lot! She will only do what you need to do with your hair and not all this fluff just to over charge you. She is amazing! I don’t know much about the other stylists in the salon but they seem to look like they do a good job as well!
The salon makes popcorn during the day which I love to eat while I’m getting my hair done! There is ample enough of parking available which is nice to not have to worry about. The salon is relatively large and the front desk staff is kind and welcoming.

DO NOT GO HERE. Staff is so rude and doesn’t even pay attention when you’ve been wandering around for over 20 minutes! I came in and made an appointment for the following Saturday. I wasn’t surprised I didn’t receive a confirmation call since I made the appointment a few days before with someone named «Julia.» When I showed there was a sign that said receptionist away from desk please wait for your stylist. Finally someone comes in and asks if I’ve been helped. I told her no but I was waiting for Julia. She says ok let me go get her. 15 minutes later no one has come out. Finally I go in the back and someone else asks if I need help. Umm ya it’s 25 minutes after my appointment time and still no stylist. At the same time I see some poor woman whose stylist has a hair brush STUCK IN HER HAIR. And the stylist wants to CUT it out. I could go on with other things I saw that were ridiculous but needless to say I did not and will never go back.

Laura is so wonderful! I get my hair colored and trimmed every 6 weeks. She knows exactly how to keep my hair healthy since it’s incredibly long and thick. Her assistants are always friendly and provide honest feedback with products and good advice on which hairstyles or hair color to decide on. They are all very knowledgeable. I love the coffee and water and little snack in the back as well as the free wifi to go online while you wait for your hair dye to set in. I also love that they have a masseuse on call if you feel the need to relax even more. Very satisfied with the service they provide at this Salon and Spa.

For hair I highly recommend for cut George, style Priscilla, color Courtney. Each if these ladies do it all for hair as well!
For a clinical facial or microdermabrasion I recommend Micky.
For a super long and relaxing European facial Pam. And for waxing, tinting and a mix of the perfect facial go with Kira!
Julie is all about massage when it comes to getting your nails done and terry is all about detail when applying polish or gel.

Senior ball day. Checked in at 1:48 and appointment was at 2:00. Good start.
2:15 and we asked the young lady with short bleach blond hair that we have been waiting, and she told us she would tell Samantha it was time. She did. But she did not tell Crystal who was doing my hair. The blonde said 5 more minutes; my friend was seated around 2:35. At this point, we were 35 WHOLE MINUTES BEHIND SCHEDULE. Crystal didn’t even know I was there untiil a THIRD time we asked at 2:45!!! (This was my first time at this salon (and my last) so I didn’t know who was who at the time)
BUT if you do go to this salon Crystal is so cool and easy to talk to. She did a great job with my hair.
Just make sure to MAKE THEM KNOW YOUR THERE. The whole damn salon. Let them alllll know you’re there.

— Booking online was easy and convenient.
— Day of appointment: was greeted by a cheerful & pleasant young lady.
— Waited for 10 mins before I saw my stylist.
— No offer of tea, water or coffee (not expecting any … just FYI)
— Great hair cut, and blow dry.
— Price is right. I’ve paid 3 times as much at Di Pietro Todd (in Walnut Creek) and satisfaction was not like this experience.
— Will be calling Priscilla again in the future.
For Parents out there: Priscilla will do haircut for kids for $ 25 (with shampoo) and $ 20 (without shampoo).

I made an apptmt to have a cut and color with Tracy. I told her that I have sensitive scalp and the coloring might cause a slight reaction and asked her to stay away from the scalp as much as possible. Rather than to go with the flow, Tracy went out of her way to ensure a pleasant experience for me and my scalp. She skin tested the color to find one that doesn’t react to my skin. Unfortunately due to the timing, we weren’t able to complete the coloring for that appointment because she wanted to have the color come out perfect (we set up another apptmt for coloring). However, I did get a cut and it came out perfect! The length and style were exactly what I wanted!

This review is for Amy, the massage therapist.
She is AMAZING! I have a really bad back-​scoliosis, multiple sclerosis, and 2 herniated discs, pinched nerves, and sciatica in my low back.
I am always in constant pain. My upper back muscles kill me, my lower back kills me, etc.
I started going to Amy and found that if you pre book and pre pay a 1 hour massage is only $ 39 and a 1 ½ hour is only $ 60.
I don’t know how long this deal will last, but today was my fourth visit and I pre-​paid today for my next visit.
It’s a really nice deal because it makes the massage affordable. I really need massages every 2 – 3 weeks or I can’t live without non stop pain meds. For the price of $ 39 I can do that.
Amy is amazing! She relives so much pressure from my back. As I go more, I get more relief. I feel great. She gets in deep but she also relaxes you.
Also, I normally get a stuffy nose when I get a massage from laying face down for so long. She uses wonderful aromatherapy oils and I have never even come close to getting a stuffy nose.

I had Michelle perform a brow waxing for me, and it turned out amazing .
I love how easy my hair is to style after visiting, and the salon is great and all of the folks here are friendly.
Jamie the receptionist is great too.
I suggest to all the guys out there looking for a solid place to get your hair cut in Alamo or Danville (and at a reasonable price of $ 30) to give Aqua Salon a try.
