Hunter and his amazing team completely SAVED our transaction. He not only jumped in 100% without knowing if we’d be able to save the transaction but he and his team did so with incredible professionalism and communication and updates at every turn. There are Lenders (I have worked with a few) and then there is Hunter and his team.
Everything seems to be transactional these days — virtual business connections, online applications… Most clients don’t even have a face-​to-​face meeting with their Lender, which is presented as a benefit, however questionable, by Quicken Loans, Cash Call, GooGain, — the list is endless.
If that’s what you are into, Hunter can do this as well as anyone. We used Hunter and his team at RPM when we bought our first home in 2014. They came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! As first time homebuyers Hunter took the time to meet with us after normal business hours due to our work schedules. He was patient and answered all of our questions while walking us through all of our options. We had to offer a fast 21 day close and I would not have wanted anyone else on my team to make that happen, especially when you are buying your first home in December and need to close during the holiday season. Hunter and his team totally rock. They are responsive, friendly, professional, and I felt they had our best intentions at heart. Unfortunately (by an honest mistake I’m sure), my wife and I were told that the property we were buying was FHA approved when in actuality it wasn’t. This was a big deal to us since if we had known from the beginning that it wasn’t FHA approved, we would have likely not purchased because we had to put a much larger down payment than we were prepared for. Having got that off my conscience, I would like to say that I would likely work with him again, and would recommend him to my colleagues and friends. Special shout-​out goes to Roxanne who was always on top of things and would gladly answer my many silly questions.

Buying a house is a stressful process at any time, but especially in this crazy Bay Area market right now. As 2^nd time home buyers, we were prepared for it but had also seen first hand — as sellers of our first home — how the escrow process can be a bumpy ride (our buyers took an extra week to close and it was a nail-​biter for us). All this to say, we expected our experience to be high stress and it was exactly the opposite. At the very beginning, Hunter met with us in person to go through all the numbers and make sure that we could go into any offers being fully educated buyers. This was so important in this climate of non-​contingent offers. Then, when we had an offer accepted, Erica was just amazing. We had to do most of the up-​front forms and documents assembly on a flat bed scanner at my cousin’s house in rural Missouri while out of town unexpectedly. Erica didn’t skip a beat with her patience with us and clear explanations of what would be needed and when. She was incredibly accessible and responsive and gave us really helpful weekly updates throughout escrow. We had no surprises, no tense moments, and best (and most surprising) of all, we closed earlier than expected.
We worked with Dana Green and Kelly Wood as our agents, who recommended Hunter to us. We highly recommend Hunter and his team, and especially recommend them if you are also working with Dana Green’s team in Lafayette, as they are clearly a perfect fit for each other.

According to Unilocal’s definition, a 5-​star rating = «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» Well I’m not sure those would be my exact words, but it’s in the ballpark. I would probably go with, «G.O.A.T.» (Greatest Of All Time), or perhaps, «If you go here first, you won’t want to go anywhere else!»
In all seriousness though, Hunter and his incredible team helped me through two big transactions (purchase of a SFH and a refi) and I could not be happier with the process/​results. From the first phone call, to the last e-​signature, they were a pleasure to deal with. Erica was especially helpful and always quick to respond to all my questions. This made a potentially stress-​filled situation into an easy and positive experience. I’ve sung their praises to all my friends & relatives, and will absolutely be using them in all my future real estate dealings.
One last point, as this was not the first broker I’ve worked with and even though my first few experiences with other brokers were fine (no horror stories here), I was expecting more of the same performance. Well Hunter and team blew expectations out of the water!

Five Stars –The only way to describe the Service, Support, and professionalism from Hunter & his RPM team. They are best in the business. Their support during a finance/​re-​finance is impeccable and extends beyond the «deal». I’ve needed copies of documents, that I have but could not find in my piling system. Erica (team member) got the docs to me in less than an hour of the request. This has happened on many occasions.
Don’t think of going anywhere else. Just call Hunter. You’ll be glad you did and will tell all your friends too.

Hunter and his team, especially Erica, are seriously rock stars! We were referred to RPM after we realized the necessity of having a more fully processed loan upfront, rather than just the basic checks and the generic pre-​approval letter from your average loan broker/​lender. We had two other pre-​approval letters from other lenders, one of which I had worked with on three occasions previously, and the other was a big bank (WF) which was incredibly slow and lacked communication skills. In this time of all cash offers and multiple bids per home though, we needed something a little more solid than that. Enter Hunter and the RPM team… They asked for everything upfront, and I mean EVERYTHING. No detail was overlooked and they correctly anticipated every nit picky detail the underwriters would come back and ask for. We had everything we needed sent to them up front (paystubs, tax returns, bank statement, etc.) and they asked for signed templated letters of clarification to explain every possible question that may come up – change from maiden name to married name, explanation of several credit inquiries over the past few months (shopping around for rates), and letters explaining work history (work at home Dad), etc. When it came down to the day our offer on the home went in, they drafted our formal letter in a matter of minutes to match the exact amount needed (i.e. not more than that which would imply to the sellers that they could sucker us into paying more). After our offer was accepted, they shifted into high gear and got things moving quickly. Since so much of the legwork was already complete, once we had the acceptance and the appraisal, everything was whisked away to underwriting. Whereas usually they come back with a huge checklist of missing items, the only thing we needed to supply was a cleaner version of one of the things we submitted which came thru funky on the fax machine. Erica is extremely organized — her weekly «Tuesday updates» were an awesome way to keep us in the loop as to the upcoming events of the week and how the loan processing was coming along. She is a perfectionist and never misses a detail, and she has a wonderful way of explaining things in simple terms, making sure we had a full understanding of the process. We ended up funding the loan in about 22 days. The entire team was truly a pleasure to work with — professional, upbeat, friendly, detail-​oriented, and perfectionists. We are so glad we chose to work with them.
