History

Established in 2007.

In the early 1980’s Penny Haley introduced her original calzones at the Eastern States Exposition (The Big E). This is the largest fair in the Northeastern United States, attracting over one million people every September. Noting the popularity and demand for her product, Penny with her son Dan (hence D.P.) opened the first D.P. Dough® Restaurant in 1987 in Amherst, MA. Today, with our systems and procedures perfected, all D.P. Dough® stores offer a wide variety of calzones, including D.P. Dough® in Albany. The Albany store has been feeding the needs of our college students and customers since we opened in June 2007.
