I hate to leave a bad review, but I have no choice. Long story short: beware of theft at this store! I came here a few years back to fix my favorite Tiffany necklace. It was a gift I’d owned for many years prior & had never had any problems with it. While visiting Albany, the necklace got caught in my zipper and broke on the clasp. It was a simple job, just needed to fix the clasp. So I dropped the necklace off at this store for a few days. When I got the necklace back, it seemed fine, until a few months later the beautiful silver/​platinum color of the chain turned completely BLACK. The man working at the desk had clearly switched my expensive Tiffany chain out for a cheap, silver chain! I had gotten a bad feeling about him initially, as he was very rude and short with me to begin with. I should have trusted my gut. I ended up going to Tiffany NYC to replace the chain. Sure enough, years later the new Tiffany chain is perfectly normal in color, just as the original had been years before it first broke. And I wear the necklace in the shower sometimes, as well as work out in it. Be careful where you take your expensive jewelry! I will never go to this store again. And to the rude man in his 40’s working the desk that day, I have one word for you: karma.

I recently came to Frank Adams to get a watch sized. It was too big for me and I needed links removed from my Tag Heuer Link Watch. When I went the guy who does the sizing wasn’t in, so we browsed a bit. I asked to see the white mother of pearl version of my link watch they had in the case and was contemplating picking it up because my blue mother of pearls band already has a scratch on it and it’s bugging me. The lady who showed me the white version didn’t try to push it on me and in fact said the watch I already owned was beautiful. I like when people in sales don’t try to only sell you things. I stuck with my original watch, but in the future if I decide to do any further watch shopping, this will be the place. They have a great selection of Tag, Cartier, and Rolex watches.
The next day I came back to get my watch sized and it took under five minutes. They were also nice enough to set the date and time for me, without my asking. I appreciated that, because I couldn’t figure it out. Tho my watch didn’t come from there I wasn’t charged for their services. This was a show of good character and definitely one more reason to come here in the future.
They also have a great selection of David Yurman jewelry, which I love. I’ve always gone to the David Yurman stores themselves, which we don’t have around here so in the future this will be convenient. I’ve already got my eye on one of the rings I saw there!
Great selection and equally great service are something important when making jewelry purchases and you will definitely find that here!
