They have changed the name of this store– just a side note, but everything inside is still the same. Love the food. The chicken and beef stew are great. I pretty much eat everything they have, empanadas, the 2 types of rice– it’s all good. I also love that I can get some snacks that I can’t find anywhere else.

Excellent little Bodega complete with hot Spanish food(to go only). The only negative part is it’s in a bad neighborhood and has a third world feel. I highly recommend the friend chicken. Best in the world.

Wanted to like this place based on other reviews & it’s being a small local business. Hot food looked & is probably good, did not get any. Went looking for grocery supplies for cooking Latin food. Nothing here that I can’t find in the Hispanic section of my local grocery store, and my grocery store may even have more. It’s in a sketchy neighborhood, & the risk-benefit ratio does not weigh in favor of returning.

The place is EXCELLENT for shopping! Any and all Caribbean produce can be found here(yautia, culantro, annato seeds, sorrell, calabazas) along with all types of dominican, jamaician, and puerto rican spices, sauces, pastes, sodas, and cheeses. The meat is always fresh and reasonable in price, and you can find a pernil here any month of the year reasonably priced per pound. My mother-in-law is from San Juan(therefore I am biased and spoiled) so for me the spanish food gets 3.5÷4 stars but the chicken wings are amazing, excellently flavored, and cheap. If you are there pick up a few and you will thank me. The ox-tail is pretty good, and if you are hard up for a pastele theirs are good in a pinch(they are frozen across from the hot bar). The yellow rice is lackluster.

Closets thing to having a spanish grandma living with you. The hot food is delicious, and you better get there early or it’ll all be gone. Its a resomnable price for the amount of food. What I like the most about the place is the owner. Frank treats everyone with respect and dignity no matter what walk of life you come from. It makes it refreshing in these times we live. And the food is out of sight

What a great little bodega! From the outside, it looks like just another little convenient store. However, I’d heard they carried a lot of Caribbean and Latin American products so I decided to check it out. Do they ever! I think you can pretty much find any Goya product here, along with all sorts of spices, hot sauces, juices and several varieties of fresh and dried chorizo. You can also get goat meat here, along with cow’s feet and all sorts of other meat products you don’t typically see in most mainstream grocery stores. In the produce section, you can get tamarind pods, plaintains, large papayas, yucca and a plenitude of other tubers and fruits I couldn’t always identify. There’s also a hot food station, with Caribbean rice and beans, platanos, fried chicken and several delicious-looking dishes that I want to go back and try. This place is sort of a little ethnic microcosm and it’s fun to hear all the different types of accents in one marqueta. I’m guessing this was formerly an Italian market based on the name, but don’t come here looking for Italian specialties anymore. Do come here for frozen Goya empanadas, Jamaican jerk seasonings and saltfish.
