If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! Do not give these people business. Tried making a VERY large &EXPENSIVE lunch order from VERY large healthcare practice and once I gave entire order he said he does not take credit cards even though the menu says they accept Visa. The food is meh, but what makes me most upset about this place is their customer service. I live on a brand new apartment complex on the SUNY Albany campus and they refuse to deliver here because they«do not know» where this complex is. I explained to them that it is new and tried to explain where it was and that they would be able to find it quite easily, but they still refuse to deliver here. That is pretty ridiculous if you ask me… their food isn’t good enough for the trouble.

Great place! My fiancée and I were looking for good chinese take out near Colonie and we stumbled upon this place. The food is very tasty and the service was very good. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place when I’m in the mood for some simple Chinese food.

Lucky Garden is a cozy Chinese takeout place located across the street from Bob & Ron’s Fish Fry. I haven’t been to Lucky Garden in several years! The old man and myself used to order Chinese takeout from Lucky Garden during our lunch breaks(we both worked in the area back in the day) since the lunch specials were hot & tasty and priced right, and the service here was friendly and quick. The place has an open kitchen(see your food being prepared) and a few tables for eating in. The menu offerings include the standard Chinese dishes and Hunan, Szechuan, and Cantonese dishes. MSG is not added. The prices are fair, most dishes are under $ 11. 39 Luncheon Specials served before 3PM($ 4.25) are served with pork fried rice or white rice, soup or can soda $ 0.75 extra. 27 Combination Plates($ 6.45-$ 7.10) served with pork fried rice or white rice and egg roll. After running a few errands in the area, mostly food shopping, I was hungry and decided to stop at Lucky Garden for some Chinese takeout for dinner. The small parking lot in front was a bit tighter than usual due to the big piles of packed snow. I ordered the C19 Hunan Beef with Pork Fried Rice and Egg Roll($ 6.80 plus tax) which was cooked fresh to order in big sizzling woks in the open kitchen and packed in an aluminum foil container. I usually order lo mein noodles, but I decided to go with something different this time. The Hunan Beef was very filling dish and tasted very fresh. This dish had tender and soft beef slices and a good mixture of fresh vegetables(green peppers, carrots, broccoli, onions), baby corn, and water chestnuts in a thick spicy beef gravy. The fried rice(yellow color) was firm and had tender roast pork cubes, onions, and scallions. The egg roll was wide stuffed with plenty of ground pork and minced cabbage, a lot of red coloring inside. Overall, the food was pretty good and the portion size was just right.
