What a nightmare! Nothing like paying $ 2k to be treated poorly AND get shoddy products. Initial experience was fine — the salesperson was very pleasant and not pushy. I purchased a mattress and bed frame. The delivery men were polite, but they damaged my hardwood floor and did not tell me (the damage was, conveniently for them, under the bed). The wood bed frame had a few small spots that had obvious repair work. These were disappointing but minor things, I did report them but didn’t want to take more time off from work to have them fixed. But then the mattress started to sag. Within 2 weeks a sizeable crater had developed. Once you purchase furniture from Old Brick, if you have a problem, expect to be treated poorly. They apparently assume you are lying, and they do not apologize even when it turns out that they were in the wrong. They also do not follow through — you must follow up with them. At this point in time, I am awaiting my replacement mattress, hopefully it will not be defective. I had to take time off from work to have a mattress tech measure my mattress crater, and a floor tech inspect the floor damage. I will have to take more time off for the replacement mattress to be delivered, and even more time for the repairs. This whole experience has been horrible, and I can only hope that the rest of this experience goes smoothly, and I do not have to deal with Old Brick Furniture ever again.

This was our first experience with Old Brick, and we would definitely return.
We appreciated the professionalism from sales personnel to delivery.
We also appreciated the freedom to browse without pressure, yet having help available when needed.

I have bought a few pieces at Old Brick. The prices are fair, selection is great, and staff are knowledgeable.

Excellent service, brought a power reclining sofa and love seat and couldn’t be happier. David was the sales rep and he offered excellent advice without being pushy. The delivery guys were very careful while setting up the sofa and were grateful when i offered them a tip for their great service.
Overall very happy with the purchase and will be back for more!

If you are shopping for furniture in the Capital Region this is the place to go. I furnished my entire apartment with Old Brick and couldn’t be happier.

We went to Old Brick to buy a new boxspring after Metro Mattress’s boxspring manufacturer would not honor the warranty on our boxspring. So we went to see what Old Brick could do. Old Brick excelled in customer service. Their staff took the time to evaluate us, help us find a good solution, an appropriate box spring and good price! I would so reccomend them for the future. They are honest thorough and very detail oriented and we even got a 10 year warranty. Bravo Old Brick Troy and Old Brick Albany where we picked it up. Thank you for your honesty and helpfulness!!!

Do NOT buy a mattress from this place, or any of their locations for that matter. We are now on our second mattress, and just like the first, it is no where near the quality of what they have in the showroom. We first bought a Sealy brand for $ 1,200, and immediately once it was delivered to our home we could feel it did not have the support of the same model in the store. We were granted a return/​exchange, and found what seemed to be a nice Simmons for $ 950. Same exact situation, the mattress is not nearly as supportive as the model in the store.
These are not cheap mattresses, and should be much better quality. They tell me that all the brands that Old Brick stocks are made in the same facility in upstate, so I assume that facility is manufacturing a sub-​standard product. Old Brick absolutely refuses to sell a floor model also, and I can only guess it’s because they are actually well made with quality materials.
Our current mattress from them is going in the guest room, our $ 950 mattress, and we’re looking to purchase our next one from another local retailer and hope for something better.

Great shopping experience! Found the PERFECT Chair and a half Power Recliner The showroom is beautiful and the prices are reasonable. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and low pressure… Very refreshing!

I had recently moved so I had movers disassemble my huge storage bed. I didn’t have directions to reassemble it so I contacted there service department and they were able to email me them within minutes. Also my stupid shady movers kept all the hardware to the bed so I called again and they were able to submit something to send me new hardware free of charge. The customer service at old brick is fantastic. I would highly recommend buying from them.

Okay yes I gave a furniture store 5 stars, only because I like the fact the sales people don’t follow you around like other places. And the fact when there is absolutely no customers they sit and watch television. So caught the one the last time I was in.
As for the warehouse house that’s another story.
Also the prices are truly lower then even huck Finns, which is scary but I guess they have to pay for the play land some how.

This company has provided me with the worst customer experience of my entire life. I was delaying writing this review to give them a chance, but my patience has run thin. We purchased a $ 3,000 bedroom set from this place roughly 2 years ago and it has been a constant battle to keep the furniture in one piece. To this day, I still wait for Ashton Kutcher to pop out from somewhere and tell me that I’ve been punked.
Don’t be fooled by the friendliness of the sales employees. They’re just setting you up for the trap known as the delivery. The day our furniture was delivered, I learned something. Always keep an eye on every service tech that enters your home. Being in the service business myself, I know how it feels having the client hang over your shoulder. So I gave these guys some space. I foolishly signed their paper, happily tipped both guys $ 20 each, and after they left, I went upstairs to check out our new bed and dressers.
Upon inspection, boy was I furious. These guys only put in the screws absolutely necessary for the bed to stay together. Every board that was able to stay in place via gravity didn’t have any screws. I’m glad I checked too. As I’m sure we would’ve gotten hurt if we got into the bed first. Those boards could’ve slipped out and the wooden 2×2 rods underneath could’ve jabbed one of us. Needless to say, I may have paid for a bed, but what I got was a pile of neatly stacked wooden boards.
The headboard for the bed was also chipped and chipped quite well I should add. The dresser drawer had a scrape right across the front of it clear as day. The chest’s leg is split. Everything delivered was junk and is still junk to this day.
I contacted Old Brick not even 5 minutes after these guys left. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to speak with anyone until Monday, but I did leave some very nasty voicemails. I even asked one of the receptionists if they were in business to screw people. I’ve never been so angry in my entire life.
Two other service techs were sent to my house 2 – 4 weeks out to complete the install of the bed and replace the broken/​scratched/​blemished parts of the dressers and headboard. While being closely watched by me of course.
Further down the road, one of the drawers under the bed had broke. Time to call Old Brick again… The part needed to be ordered and won’t be in for about a month. A month goes by and I have yet to hear back from Old Brick. So I call them back and ask them for their mailing address and the business owner’s name. I was preparing to write a letter to the owner about my experience and CC to the Better Business Bureau in the process
Ironically, I received a phone call from Old Brick the very next day to let me know the status of that drawer repair. About a week later, I was able to get a tech at my house to fix this drawer.
Well, yesterday that same drawer broke again. Quite frankly, I’m tired of dealing with Old Brick and this bed that is designed with failure intended. I can’t wait to call Old Brick again and let them know what happened.
Never, in my life, will I ever buy another piece of furniture from Old Brick. After owning this bed, I envy homeless people who sleep on flattened cardboard boxes.
This company needs to perish.

Love it here — I don’t feel that the sales people hound you at all — which is a huge issue I have with most stores out there. I just want to look around, and not be bothered!
Ordered a custom sectional that we have enjoyed for years now, as well as a bedroom set, and I have no complaints.

when your going to Bye careful, they are just seller. if you finance the charge you some more money for nothing. I am very disappointed whit this company. delivery is very bad.
wen I apply for finance they sad the is no charges but now the charge me 169.99 $ for no reason. the company tried to charge me more money for furniture I already paid for.

We purchased furniture for multiple rooms, and had a very nice experience. They had a little more of a selection of what we were looking for, and their sales team wasn’t pushy. I found their showroom helpful because furniture was displayed as a set, and with the options on how we could customize (colors, sizes, additions). Compared to a few other furniture stores we visited, they had the best selection and quality.
We worked with Melissa, who told us that they work as a team, instead of individual commissions. We felt it made a difference, because we weren’t followed around the store, or pressured to purchase. Melissa was very accommodating, and we are very pleased with the service.

We browsed here for a bit, but soon realized that their selection was similar to that of several other stores in the area.
Leaving about 10 minutes after we arrived, we wondered how all the furniture stores can sell the same crap at different price points. Well, I suppose if they grab the stuff from the manufacturer cheap enough, flip a coin, and pencil in a price to see if a sucker buys it.
Go here or any other large furniture store around the area… it’s all the same.

Initial service wasn’t horrible. We were bombarded by salespeople while browsing for a bedroom set for my son, to the point that I had to ask them to leave us alone.
The problems started after delivery. One of the dresser drawers had a huge gash in it. The service department wanted to schedule a time to have it «touched up.» For that much money, I wanted a new drawer, not a touch up.
SIX MONTHS and many phone calls later, we finally have our replacement drawer. I’m hoping the color actually matches, or I may be adding to this review.
I won’t be returning to Old Brick for my daughter’s bedroom set.

I had an excellent experience at Old Brick Furniture. The staff was incredibly helpful (not annoyingly in-​your-​face), the prices seemed more reasonable than some of the other stores I visited, and the selection was excellent.

I furnished most of my home at Old Brick last year. I read a couple of other reviews and was surprised to see that someone felt «judged» based on appearance. I was wearing an old, tattered pair of shorts and a t-​shirt when I first walked in there (looking like a student) and got great service. Steve was the rep that I worked with exclusively. (From what I understand, there are 2 of them… this Steve was the older of the 2). He was VERY patient, spent a lot of time with me and ultimately sold me a bedroom set, 2 mattresses, a dining room set and 2 couches. I did this in a few different trips to Old Brick — and they allowed me to bundle everything on one order. This was a HUGE advantage due to the 5 year warranty that they include on everything — I only had to pay one (very fair) amount to cover all of that stuff.
The quality of the furniture is quite good and they have a fantastic selection. The store layout is really nice as well. The prices are VERY reasonable — I didn’t break the bank and purchased quite a bit.
I ran into a few issues:
One of the furniture pieces was backordered, one bulb was out in my hutch and the bed had a squeaking issue. They were extremely accommodating and fixed everything promptly.
I definitely recommend Old Brick — my experience there was great.
