In my experience they usually give you the most money compared to the other buyers in the Capital region. The woman I work with is always great, and also Don. There are a couple other employees who seem preoccupied and not interested in your items, I have only had that experience once, but mostly the woman(forget her name) and Don work on the front. You have to research spot price before you go in, search the internet and weigh your items. Also the spot price for gold is for 24k, you will have to check other sites for the other qualities such as 14k, etc. As 14k is about half the value of 24k spot price. They aren’t going to offer you that but slightly under since they have to make money. In case you never have been there, they give you a check from Pioneer Savings Bank which you can cash, its about 2 – 3 blocks up the street on the right. They have helped me many times, including doing an assay of a bracelet I bought on Amazon that was supposed to be palladium but was not. They are also honest, I went in with a gram of what I thought was palladium and they told me, no it was platinum when I feel like any other dealer would have just gone with it. They also sell precious metals, I have never bought but plan on it in the future. If you want closer to retail price, then sell your items on E-Bay. They do not give value based on collectible coins and rare items, just the metal value, keep that in mind.

The woman I worked with was very pleasant, but I would say do your homework first. I was selling a few 14k gold items and had an idea of what I should get for it. I was a little disappointed in the price, but figured it was better than nothing. Afterwards, I called another store in the area and found out they would have given me $ 15 more. I went to Saratoga because I knew the name, but next time I would call a few other places first. Lesson learned.

I had a good experience selling some silver items that we weren’t doing anything with. I had visited a couple of places and I got the best price here. Not sure what the service problem was in a couple of reviews I read because I didn’t experience that problem at all. I felt like they had expertise and were helpful. Obviously, they are trying to get the best deal for them, but we settled on what I thought was a very fair price. Thanks for a good experience.

I went in there with my husband to get a quote on a few items and we are in a world wide business where great customer service is key. There customer service was horrible and they treated us as if though there was no value in our items, so we walked out diamonds in hand. Everyone take your business to the kid in crossgates mall he’s the man for this job

Professional and friendly service! They offered an extremely fair(and generous) price for buying my old scrap gold and pricing a few of my old coins.
