Red Canoe Credit Union

I started with red canoe when it was Weyerhaeuser years and years ago… I’ve always enjoyed banking there. First in the Longview branch, then the Albany when I moved down to Salem. The Albany branch really had a tight knit staff for several years. They always knew your name and got to know you on a personal level, really took an interest. The last few years they’ve turned over a lot of their staff. the newer ones aren’t as warm and welcoming as the old timers were. Brenden and TJ are still there and they are both great! The only downfalls to this credit union is the locations are so few and far between. It’s great they’ve expanded in the Washington area and do more of the shared banking, but to go to an actual branch is incredibly out of the way. I’ve almost changed credit unions over this several times, but Red Canoe is like that blanket you carry around as a kid and can’t seem to ever part with.
