My father had hip surgery here by Dr. Fuchs. He had quite a few questions before hand and Dr. Fuchs’ secretary answered all his calls and all his questions with patience and kindness. The surgery went great and his recovery time has been remarkable. I would highly recommend this practice, very patient focused.

DR. CALDWELL was the doctor I had been seeing at the center. I had the worst experience of my life at the bone and joint center this past few months. I am a hair stylist with an elbow problem(shocking). I first went in to the bone and joint center in December 2013 for the issue. All Dr. Caldwell wanted to do was jab me with an injection. A few months went by and again, went back for another injection due to the pain(typical for ‘tennis elbow’). This shot lasted only about a month, or less, so I finally got back into an appointment. My appointment was for 1:45, they put me into an exam room at 2:45 and the doctor was in about 15 minutes after that. Dr. Caldwell came in and poked and prodded at my arm and said ‘yep its tennis elbow” and told me I needed physical therapy. He grabbed his paper work and went to leave the room. I said to him«Excuse me, I did not wait over and hour for you to dismiss me» and he absolutely lost his mind on me. He started slamming his papers down on the counter and screaming at me «I’ve been working my ass off!!» followed by «I haven’t been God damn golfing!!». The Dr.(Caldwell) was absolutely belligerent and made me feel very uneasy. A formal complaint was made as soon as the visit was over. I do not recommend him for any services, even if it is urgent. He has more to say about the parking in Saratoga, and his golf game, then the actual reason I was there. His unethical response to my needs, and his unprofessionalism towards me, as a patient, combined with the belligerence and swearing, and the longer than an hour wait, I give him two big fat thumbs down.

NOSTARSHERE I was in Ireland for a vacation and had hurt my wrist badly. I knew I had broken my wrist or hand. Since I did not have my usual cell phone access I emailed my son to call the BONE&JOINTCENTER for an appointment as soon as possible after I returned to Albany, NY. I wanted to return to the USA for treatment by one of our American Physicans as we have the best medical care here in the USA? Right?(my mistake). My son called for an appointment on Monday, May 21, 2012 and spoke to woman who would not even make an appointment for me as I did not personally call her with my medical insurance information, and my social security number. MY son again tried to explained to this moron that I was in Ireland, I didnot have international phone access, and had probably broken my wrist and was in need of orthopedic care. He did again tell her that I had medical insurance and would bring the insurance card with me to the appointment. She WOULDNOT give me an appointment. MY son asked her then«YOUAREDENYINGMYMOTHERMEDICALCARE?» This sorry excuse for a human being replied«YES, WEARE» After I arrived back to Albany, I went to Albany Medical Center ED. The doctors at AMC x-rayed my wrist/hand and found two broken bones. They wanted to splint my wrist and then sent me to the Bone & Joint Center to have them put a cast on my wrist and hand. GUESS what I told them? «no way.» An appointment was made to Dr Brian Bilfield whose office told me to bring my insurance card with me and didn’t even ask me for my social security number. The Bone and Joint Center is an example of how bad our medical care has become here in the USA, with money the sole indicator of how medical groups like he BONE and JOINT Center do business. I should have taken my chances with the physicians in Ireland. My next letter about this will be going to the NYS Office of Professional Medical Conduct in Troy, NY
