A.C.O.P. is the brainchild of Michael Wylie, a software developer based in New Mexico, and his business partner Laura McCall. In the late 1970’s, Michael and Laura’s close relatives were severely injured during a head-​on collision with a reckless drunk driver.

Since then, Michael and Laura have been tireless crusaders to strengthen DUI laws. Michael personally lobbied New Mexico state officials to enact a comprehensive DUI Database that would alert stores, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos and dispensaries when someone who is legally prohibited from buying alcohol attempts to purchase.
