Yuck. way over priced cheap toxic junk. Ur an idiot if ur actually paying that much for a super unhealthy cup of sugar that cost them 20 cents to make. Save ur money and go to Frost Gelato instead.

I had the standard shaved coconut ice with mochi pieces on top. The small shaved coconut ice is $ 5 with tax. Toppings are two for $ 1 after tax. So a small with one topping was $ 6 after tax. I’m a big guy, but I found the small size to be way too large. I really liked the creamy, delicate, slightly sweet shaved coconut ice but threw about half away because it was like eating 4 scoops of ice cream trying to finish the small. It was hard to decide how many stars this place deserved: If based on the customer service /location, I would have given 1 star. It was so loud I could not hear the person working at Coconutz, the area was full of teens literally making out on top of the tables, and the mall area in general was dirty. If rating based on the price — maybe 2 stars max — I felt it was much too expensive for what it was. At half the cost I would have been a raving fan. But at $ 6, this will just be an occasional treat if even that. The flavor was good, and if the calorie information is accurate it is truly amazing, so I would say the flavor/taste is 4 stars. I rounded to 3 in the end. I think it probably deserves less based on my experience, but I actually think I’ll try it another time when it is less busy in the mall.

I saw this place on my way out of the mall and the shaved ice sounded good so I order a small blue raspberry shaved ice. Seems like it took her 7 – 8 minutes to make and then as I was eating it, I noticed the top layer had syrup and some in the middle too. However I found say about a good half to ¾ was plain white ice with no flavoring on it. Threw most of it away.

Ever had a sno cone? This is totally different. Shaved snow is light, fluffy, and silky smooth. You can add any flavor you like, toppings, and candies to make everything you want it to be. It’s not too sweet, and not too awful for you– I think everything is under 200 calories, regardless of size. This is a great treat any time of the year, and can totally kick those ice cream cravings if you’re trying to be good!

Would not recommend, the ice was not good, the fruit was canned, the hot chocolate was from a package. I threw mine away half way through and so did my friends

I’ve been here many times and the owner is always so helpful and friendly! I always get the Maui mango and it’s just bursting with flavor! So delicious! Definitely a must stop while you’re browsing the mall.

I’ve been to this place a few times now. The owner is so nice! She has been there each time and you can tell she works hard in this business. I wish they had better advertisement. I went because I happened to know where it was from the CMYE there, but otherwise, you will pass things like Cinnabun and Boba Tea before you get there. If you don’t know it’s there… you may just pass it by. I’m a little worried about how well Coconutz will do. There is also construction outside of the door where they are located right now, so that’s not helping. Anyways, the owner is like a breath of fresh air. She’s nice and passionate about her products. She knows shaved snow well. I’m a big fan of coconut, so I got a different kind of coconut snow this time. Delicious! I had toasted coconut(I’m kind of a coconut freak) and mango boba this time. I had three people pass me while I was eating my snow and comment on how good it looks. Two teenage girls came up to me and said«is this place good?»…and all I could do was nod in my coconut bliss. They ended up going up and ordering something. The presentation is amazing. With the umbrella and the rolled wafer… the presentation of this shaved snow just kills it! Albuquerque…you have to try this place. Support local businesses. How many local businesses are there in the mall? Not many. This is the perfect treat for a hot summer day. And it’s not very calorie dense. I think the small is only 60 calories! The small in plenty. I’d get the big if I was sharing. You have to go!

Abq, Local, N.M. Shop and staff. I think Coconutz Shaved Snow is in a great location. It is right in the middle of the Coronado mall, and is a stand alone shop. It has up to date looks, and very sleek looking. The young lady named Corinna helped me with my order today. She is very professional, nice, and knowledgeable. I almost missed out on the shaved cocoanutz experience though. I didn’t know there was two different types of treats. I was about to ask for the shaved ice, but Carina told me about the shaved coconut snow. I was glad I didn’t get the shaved ice because I can get that other places. I wanted to try something new, and different. The shaved cocoanut snow was like nothing else. Food and Experience. I picked the Coconut, and Almond snow. I was not disappointed with the flavor nor the over all taste. I asked for her to put whipped cream, toasted coconut, and Corinna suggested the sauce named«sweet stuff» or «sweetness». I noticed that there is a ton of different toppings. Gummy bears, chocolate chips, crushed cookies, vanilla wafers, the list gos on and on. Once I had the first bite I knew it was something I would love to have on a regular basis. I’ve never had anything like this before. I love it, and I will tell everyone to go, and try it. A very awesome side note: The tosted coconut is made in house. Love it.

Cool new place in Albuquerque to beat the heat! =) Went here about a month ago with my family and was impressed. Its located in Cornado mall right next door to H&M. I liked how it was really light and it had a taste of coconut and a ube flavor(which im a huge fan of). The presentation was beautiful, it looked like perfectly stacked ribbons lol. My son especially loved the mango pearls that was on top. Really cool new find in Albuquerque for sure =)

Please see my previous review for my personal take on America’s sugar addiction, and why Coconutz is fo’ shizzle your best refreshing treat in the 505, without the calorie guilt. I’m updating this review because I really misrepresented the shaved snow flayvah options around here. On any given day you’ll find a huge selection, ranging from fruits to sugary-sweet stuff, like chocolate, on the menu. There’s a ton to choose from, and the toppings are more extensive than previously reported, as well. My advice: approach with a mindset residing in the tropics. You’re hot(hey, yes you are), a little sun-soaked, you want salvation. Indulge. Ain’t nothin’ in these cups that’ll weigh you down. And know that when you’re dropping your cash, it’s supporting Local. Are you holding a bag of clothes from some shop on Coronado row? Check the labels on those fabrics. I’m betting you won’t find anything made in New Mexico, nor anywhere in this country. Open up your wallet with pride, Burqueño. Your cash is going right back into our economy. Holla!

My first time trying shaved snow and I like it very much! I got coconut and hubby got mango. We both got mango and strawberry poppers. His mango was not as sweet and delicious as my coconut snow. The only other comment I think we both share was that it seemed a touch expensive. I like to not super sweet but deliciously refreshing aspect for sure. We will be back, if we find ourselves at the mall again.

Very good. A little pricey but good. I like that it taste very natural and not too sweet. I am not a fan if things that are too sweet so this was perfect and refreshing. If you are someone who really likes sweets then there are plenty of topping options to sweeten it up. Size and toppings are great! Calories are not bad either which is always a plus! My 6 year old was not the greatest fan lol She liked how pretty it was and the toppings but didn’t even eat half. Wish there were more locations.

About a month ago we went here for a CMYE and enjoyed a chocolate shaved snow with Oreos. It was really good, it was light and refreshing. Today we went back and the owner made us a mango shaved snow. She helped us pick out toppings that turned a regular shaved snow into a work of art. It was very delicious. I know where I’m going when I need something to cool me down this summer. I love that the small has only 60 calories and and large has 120.

A healthy alternative to Ice Cream you say?! Normally EL Panza Grande wouldn’t even consider such a thing. Ice Cream is a food group of its own you know. Actually this stuff here is delicious! It’s hard to actually explain how it taste. It’s smooth &a creamy but slightly crunchy. Yet the flavor is not over powering or lacking its subtly there. I had the Mango Cream with these delightful little Green Tea gummy«mochi» spelled incorrectly I’m sure, things. This masterful concoction was surprisingly refreshing but still had a hint of that Ice Cream taste we all love. To me I will definitely be returning to sample more of these tasty treats! Bottom line if your in the mall pass on all those greasy and carbonated staples you see and get you some of this amazingly tasty good for you Shaved Sno

Amazing! I normally I don’t go for sweet treats, but the favors looked so good and it was a great mid-afternoon pick me up after a long day of shopping. Will definitely stop by with friends again so we can try more flavors. Nom!

Here’s an Asian girl who loves dessert but hates sugar! The solution? Shaved ice treats! I’m so glad to see CoCoNutz in ABQ b/c I miss the times I had Taiwanese style shaved ice in D.C. This Hawaiian style is crunchy at first finished with a bit of sticky bite because of the flavoring blended into the yummy treats. I was so excited to have me some green tea shaved ice that I lost my patience for 5 seconds, expecting a burst of flavor at first bite, no, the subtle taste comes near the end when you do the«ummm…» By the time I finish the small size, I was satisfied with no plan to run a 5K! The owner Corinna’s got a pioneering entrepreneurial spirit who brings with her a Hawaiian breeze to bless this town, I’m inspired!

Dessert! First and foremost– what a great idea. This little stand is owned and run by a local entrepreneur. The stand is gorgeous and super clean. The owner is very friendly. The business is located smack dab in the middle of Coronado Center. It’s great to stop and go. Now– my thoughts on the product. I paid over $ 7.00 for a small shaved snow with two toppings. It is expensive. I am sure making this snow isn’t cheap and the location may cut into profit. The snow at Coconutz tasted okay. It had a slimy texture I just didn’t like. My take– great idea with a passionate execution. Although for a dessert, I will have to pass on future visits. If I’m going to eat dessert, it is going to be fat laden and forbidden.

Stopped at this place while strolling the mall one day looking for something cold and sweet. To be honest, I wasn’t crazy about this shaved ice/ice cream blend. The texture was a bit slimy for my liking and the toppings unimpressive(mostly crushed up candy bars). It was also 6 bucks for a small… way to pricey for the flavor and portion size. I also ordered mango maui but they gave me coconut almond. Silver lining — the woman working there was nice. Next time I’m getting boba tea or dip n’ dots.

Delicious. It’s icy, it’s creamy, and tons of delicious toppings. Surprisingly low in calories. Plus locally owned and operated. Good location outside H&M and just in time for hot New Mexico summers. Love! Will update as I have more flavor combinations…
