History

Established in 1983.

Joe, an engineer, started tinkering with computers in the early 1980s. He and Carole met while working at what was then GTE Lenkurt. Joe knew how to build a computer and Carole did resumes for people long before anyone conceived of actually having a PC on their desk. Many of her customers were impressed with her set-​up and asked Joe if he could build one for them.

The two launched Computer Corner, selling custom-​built computers from their home in 1983 where they ran it until moving to their first store in 1988 with 2,000 square feet at San Mateo and Kathryn. They trademarked the name Equus for their proprietary computer systems, although they also sell all major brands and components.

Fast Forward to 2014 and you will find a full service business for all your technology needs. Joe and Carole have expanded their business from retail sales to include a fully staffed service department and are a local leader in Training Services, specializing in Microsoft Courses.
