We pride ourselves on providing our customers the highest level of quality fabrication and installation of granite and engineered stone products at fair and market competitive prices. We offer Granite, Caesarstone, Quartz, Silestone, Cambria and Viatera.

History

Established in 2010.

George Padilla’s interest in stone work started 21 years ago with the unique opportunity to apprentice with an Italian stone master. He was taught the fine art of custom design, fabrication, and stone repair, often repairing antique pieces of marble, onyx, travertine, and granite.

Before opening Granite Designs By George in 2010, he was the general manager of Richlan Granite for 10 years, growing the initial three-​man operation into a workforce of 21 dedicated and highly qualified team members, and a respected force in the stone counter top industry here in New Mexico.

Now, with Granite Designs By George, he has grown his operation in much the same fashion, through diligence and hard work, from 3 to 12 team members! Amazingly enough, George also finds the time to be a ninja warrior and part time sushi/​burrito chef.

Meet the Manager

Jesus Z.

Manager

Having studied for a Communication Degree at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego California, Jesus brings to Granite Design by George 20 years of experience in Kitchen Design.

Jesus spent 15 years working for The Home Depot, as a kitchen designer and a trainer for the company. He is well versed in kitchen design and all materials that go along with remodeling a kitchen. His experience in granite and engineered materials comes from years of product training and selling the various materials that are offered by the Home Depot.

He furthered his knowledge of granite and engineered stone by taking a position with Artistic Tile and Granite. At Artistic Tile and Granite, Jesus was the Commercial Sales Rep and was responsible for quoting large and small projects regarding anything non-​residential.

With the closing of Artistic Tile and Granite, Jesus began his journey with Granite Designs by George in June of 2010, and is responsible for sales and quotes
