Great customer service, and store is organized in a logical way. A much better shopping experience then the hardware store in the plaza across the street.

James was really helpful. Everyone is super friendly. Great prices. It’s met my hardware needs everytime I go there.

In my quest to complete home projects yesterday, I stopped in to True Value to pick up some PVC pipe and mounting brackets for a raised garden. While close to my house, I don’t often go to True Value — Ace is just across the street and has a much more navigable parking lot. As I’m not familiar with the store layout, I definitely looked lost! A store employee asked if I needed help, walked me to the PVC and found another employee to cut it down for me. I explained to them what I was doing and they walked me through the entire store bagging up everything I needed to get my project done! They got me set up with everything from the pipe to the brackets and hardware! Great experience and friendly employees!

Located right next to Sprouts/Sunflower on Lomas, this store seems to benefit greatly from having a popular next door neighbor. I’m proof of that, as I’d probably never have dropped in here if I hadn’t first come shopping at the supermarket. Now, I don’t know how well True Value is doing in the long run, as it seems to be a remnant of a bygone era when big boxes weren’t gobbling up everyone’s money. It’s quite quiet in here most of the time and this can seem only amplified by the great number of employees there are in relation to customers — it’s not uncommon to have multiple employees approach you and ask how they can be of assistance. I know for some this can be annoying, but considering that I can wander for 15 minutes searching out an employee in Home Depot, I actually appreciate the employee attentiveness here. I don’t want to mislead folks into thinking this place is comparable to Home Depot(it’s not), but certainly serves when one’s looking for a specific tool, or screw or other household item(they don’t just sell hardware, they have pots and pans, vacuums, etc.). The price aren’t outrageous considering this store is no big box, so if you want to avoid entering the cavernous and seemingly soulless HD, this is the place to go.

Great service. They had exactly what I needed AND a friendly person helped me find it. God bless the small Indy hardware store. God forgive Depot and Lowes for squashing the neighborhood hardware store. I will travel the extra couple miles for true value and their nice staff.
