History

Established in 1999.

Delana Veirs opened Mar y Sol Salon in 1998 after working for other great Salon’s in the Albuquerque area. She wanted to create a space that doesn’t resemble anything else in Albuquerque. Now in her third location she feels she has created another space that most people say reminds them of California or Europe. This time around she wanted to create a space that had the feel of being near a beach and has a modern minamalist look. We hope to have created an interactive experience with the clients with the color bar out in the open where the clients can see us mixing the color.

I Love to make people look and feel their best. I believe in an easy going approach to beauty. I love to encourage my clients to play with their look and be open to change. I also believe that a good hair cut and beautiful hair color go a long way. I love to teach my clients how to recreate their style and like to give them easy maintanance looks. I belieive in using green products because they are so much better for our health, the planets health and our skin and hair’s health. I also like to support product lines that are integral, choosing lines that are independantly owned and give back to the community.
