Mark’s Magic Music Piano Instruction

Mark Gutierrez is the driving force behind this charming adobe piano studion. He has the capability for both individual lessons and group lessons. Mark has long participated in teaching at UNM and other esteemed institutions. As well he plays individual venues and has played with Stratus Phear in the recent past.
His teaching method is magnificently adaptable to the student. He is extraordinarily attentive to what it is the student would like to achieve with their music and has a gift for placing individuals with appropriate while challenging pieces. His pasion and knowledge of music is infectious and your lesson passes before you are ready to go… a very good thing. Mark very comfortably walks the delicate path that gives the student and teacher a comfortable working relationship at the same time that the players discover personal treasures.
He is a believer in the metronome, which I know drives some people crazy. As I have gone on in my studies my appreciation for the refinement of rhythm and fullest interpretation of a piece of music… I have to acknowledge that adapting to the metronome has brought unimaginable gratification.
