I had a similar experience. They never showed up (with no phone call to let me know they weren’t coming) and I resheduled and they didn’t show up… again! Now I can’t get a phone call returned during normal business hours… even when I call hours before closing. This is ridiculous. How do businesses like this even stay in business? (I had a livingsocial deal.) Watch out Albuquerque!

Metro Maids totally scammed me with the help of LivingSocial. They took my money and now won’t return my call to schedule service. I’ve emailed, called, contacted LivingSocial and no return call from Metro Maids. I finally reached out on facebook and they deleted my post, blocked me and reported me as abusive. So obviously they have gotten my message that I am unhappy but still refuse to contact me. And I was absolutely not abusive, I just stated I was disappointed and would have to go to their office in person to schedule my appointment.
I’m going to call LivingSocial again because I really can’t see myself letting these people into my house now and LivingSocial should really make this right since I am a repeat customer and this is just wrong on so many levels.

Never showed up for the appointment. I called the office and they assured me that the cleaning crew was «on the way». I waited from 3 until 9 at night and no one ever showed up. My call about the missed appointment was never returned. My good friend had them at her house and they broke a bathroom floor tile and then bought a throw rug to cover it up and claimed they had no idea what happened. Not the kind of business I want to work with.

My review is very similar to the filtered review left by someone else on 3÷7÷2012. I don’t know why that one was filtered, but based on my experience it’s probably quite accurate.
I bought a Groupon for services by Albuquerque Maids and I really wish I hadn’t. Even at 50% off, it was not worth the money.
I was given a four-​hour time window when I should expect them to arrive (between 1 and 5 pm). They showed up at 10 am, a completely inconvenient time for us to clear out of the house, so we asked them to come back an hour later. They did. 11 am was still inconvenient, but at least manageable.
No one on the crew spoke English well enough to communicate with us. I am not one of those speak-​English-​or-​get-​out-​of-​my-​country people, but if you send a crew to someone’s house, at least one person should be able to communicate with the customer. We had very simple requests to make («clean the baby’s room first because it will be her nap time in an hour», «please don’t bother to make the bed in that room») that were not understood and not done. I wish I spoke Spanish well enough to communicate things like that, but I don’t.
The work was not great, but not bad. Just sort of mediocre. They definitely skipped and missed some things I consider to be pretty basic in a cleaning (the wall behind the stove, the front of the kitchen cabinets, etc.)
What really got me, though, is that one of my kitchen knives went missing while the crew was there. It’s a nice forged knife, so we always keep it either in the knife block or on the window sill waiting to be washed. The knife was used, washed, and put back in the knife block the morning before the crew cleaned, but we couldn’t find it the night after they were there. I called the office the next day, and the said they’d ask the girls if they’d seen it. I never got a call back, so I called again the next day. I was told that they asked the girls, the girls said «what knife?», and that was the end of the story. It’s a month later and that knife still hasn’t turned up. I really didn’t want to suspect them of stealing it, but at this point no other explanation makes sense.
I called Groupon and got a refund because Albuquerque Maid Service (aka Metro Maids aka Metro Source Janitorial) refused to make things right. I strongly recommend NOT doing business with this company.
