I’m shocked at any negative comments about this absolutely fantastic place. I’ve been coming here for over 25 years and have never ever been disappointed. The food is too good for words and I would definitely recommend it! Staff is attentive and courteous. Couldn’t ask for a better combination!

By far the best Italian restaurant in Albuquerque. We travel 20 minutes to eat here. The 2 owners are 1 from the Bronx &1 from Sicily. The wait staff is always polite & good & many have been there over 20 years. Be sure to try the pizza & any menu item won’t disappoint. They also serve authentic Italian dishes grandma used to make simply ask what they have that is not on the menu. This restaurant won’t disappoint.

Mimmo’s has tanked big time! Went there a few months ago, portion size and food was good so we decided to go back for New Year’s eve. Despite having made reservations, we were seated at the worst table possible — extremeky cramped and right by the galley. On second thought, it’s probably good that we were seated there because I spotted a major Department of Health violation. Our server, who had his back turned to us, probably hoped I did not see him stick his fingers into a tray of food, scoop it into his mouth, joke with a young busgirl while happily chewing a mouthful of food. He the promply wrapped food up and put it in a food storage compartment, «ready» to served again. DISGUSTING, to put it mildly! When I mentioned it to Mimmo, he blew me away and clearly wanted us out ASAP. Come Monday, I plan on calling the Department of Health. Food was passable but portion size was drastically reduced(2 manicotti, 10 midsized ravioli as main course entrees — really?). Also, if you have a disability(i.e. use a wheelchair or scooter) do not expect any privacy in the ladies restroom. Scooter barely fit in stall and there was no way to close stall door(FYI: no problem if door were rehung to swing out). This place has really deteriorated! One star is being kind!

My favorite place to eat in Albuquerque. Both a habit and an addiction especially to the chicken del la casa! They remember my order even if it’s been a while since I last came, they treat my family like family. Love love love this place.

This place is always delicious! I usually get their chicken Parmesan or lasagna and they are tasty and amazing! The staff is friendly and we are always greeted with a smile which is important I will not eat anywhere that does not appreciate you. This is why we keep coming back! OH and they have fresh mozzarella, and home made pasta!!! Love you Mimmo’s!

Great food. We were greeted and seated right when we walked in. We thought that being a Saturday night, this place might have a wait. We arrived at the perfect time. Our waiter was friendly and gave us plenty of time to order. I ordered Rigatoni Alla Vodka with chicken. I“ve made this dish at home a few times, and I have to say this dish was prepared perfect. Not too much sauce, not too much pastas and a perfect amount of chicken. My wife ordered spaghetti w/meat sauce, and a side of meat balls. Very good as well, but then again, it’s hard to mess up spaghetti and meat balls. To finish the meal, I ordered a canoli. Amazing as well. We will return sooner than later.

Great pizza and salad buffet. All of the items are great with quality ingredients. You can tell that the owners put a lot of effort into making good food. And the prices are so much better for the portions than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. They are very friendly. I have never had a bad experience here.

You can’t beat the down-to-earth owner and staff. The front is great for a quiet dinner, but we sit at the bar or on the patio for conversation and to enjoy the sounds of the city. The food is piping hot, fresh, authentic, and generously sized. Good for wine and beer lovers.

Great place that seems you will always run into the loyal locals. Amazing food. I love the scampi but ask them to add spinach for a different treat. Huge selection of wines but also a few local brews on tap as well. The owners are friendly and fun. Hang out at the bar to meet some really nice people and have a laugh.

Great Classic Italian food. One of the few restaurants where my 7 year old loves to eat. Waiters really good with kids. Go hungry good sized portions and good salad bar.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. We went late this past Saturday night, around 9:30 or so with our 2 young boys and our friend’s teenage daughter for her birthday. We were greeted by the sweetest woman and she seated us immediately. She was so patient, kind and knowledgeable, and funny too! The food was so good. We started with the salad bar which was fresh and had just the right amount of choices. I ordered the manicotti, two of the kids ordered lasagna, another ordered pizza and my husband ordered a calzone. Every single thing I tried was excellent! I loved my manicotti and the pizza crust was some of the best I’ve ever had. They also brought out garlic bread with the meal which I appreciated. The portions are just the right size — plenty of food but not so much that you feel overwhelmed. They brought us a yummy chocolate mousse cake for dessert for the birthday. They really made our dinner special! We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

I ate at mimmos for my first time yesterday. The customer service is great my waiter was great! The pizza was really good but I will say for the price of the food I would expect so much better. The salad bar is tiny and the buffet well there’s 3 choices. Way over priced for the food they serve but the customer service is amazing!!! Great staff!

Gnocchi with meat sauce, accompanied by garlic bread and a side salad. Everything was just meh. Had a nice glass of pinot grigio but have no idea what it was as it was not named on the menu and server didn’t know either. Service was fine, nice kid. My meal confused me in light of the good reviews. The meat sauce was a bit watery, not substantive, and lacking in flavor. The gnocchi was just … lumps of dough. The garlic bread just butter on a piece of bread with some garlic flavor. The salad just as typical as anything/everything else. Yes«just» used liberally but — hey — go with what works. If someone can convince me something on their menu is amazing and I must try it, I will give it a second chance.

Absolutely amazing place, been going here since I was a kid and the food is amazing, the service is wonderful, and it is locally owned and operated. Great choice for a date night or for a large get together. During the years I have been going, my parents got to know the owner personally, fantastic establishment!

Upon arrival, I saw what was left of the lunch buffet. It looked a little scant, which I suppose was fine considering they were cleaning it up at the time. I’m sure it’s considerably more robust at the correct hour. The staff was attentive, but I was the only customer in the building. I’m not sure how much merit that assessment actually deserves. I ordered a water to start, and it was cold and clear. I ordered the Pizza Caprese, which is one of their signature dishes. I was offered the option of a soup or salad as a additional meal item/starter, but declined. I expected my meal would take about 25 minutes to arrive, and I was actually a little long. Almost 20 minutes on the dot. The vegetables were quality, the prosciutto was delicious and the mozzarella was nice. The crust was the perfect mix of crispy and substantial. I have absolutely no complaints about the pizza, but I’ve ultimately had better. Everything was priced about where I thought it should be as well. I’d definitely come back again if I was on my way through town and in the mood for a fairly quick pizza!

Small and quaint atmosphere, which is nice. I didn’t do the lunch buffet but got the spaghetti instead with meatballs. Honestly my own recipe is better lol, but I’ll be back to try the pizza.

This felt like a place the locals might frequent — healthy portions of food in simple décor at fair prices. I got the Mimmo’s Special special(like a supreme pizza, I think) and it came out thin and crisp. My wife got the linguini with mussels(only offered on weekends) and it came with a lot mussels and seemed fresh and flavorful. My mother-in-law got some fettucini with meat sauce and that came with some garlic bread too.

Tries hard but misses the mark. I ordered a chicken/green chili calzone and it was 98% cheese with very little chicken or chili. My companions’ manicotti and fettucini were good and«meh,» respectively. Desserts were copious. They did offer to make another calzone but we didn’t have the time. Perhaps it’s because I’m from NJ but I’ve found the Italian food in NM to be quite underwhelming; they don’t know what they’re missing.

I took a young friend here for her 13th birthday and was pleasantly surprised. I actually loved the meat sauce and pasta with meatballs. The décor hasn’t changed over the years and looks a bit tired, but it works. The service here was great and all staff was alert and conscientious. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. The buffet was perfect for the 2 of us, we were in and out. Pleasant.
