Description

Specialties

We are Albuquerque’s Theme Based Preschool.

Our curriculum is adapted to each child’s developmental stage and age appropriateness. We encourage children at all levels to develop a sense of emotional and social competence while challenging their creative and intellectual self.

Children will experience a classroom with students ages three to five years old; Teachers will adapt to each child’s stage and development while connecting the children’s learning to the classroom themes at their own pace.

We offer a structured scheduled for consistency with flexibility within each activity. At our school the children will explore through their own self-selection play, free art, small group activities, large group activities, music, dance, yoga, nature walks, science experiments, cooking together, beginning literacy and writing steps, all while learning around a designed theme: space, ocean, farm, dinosaurs, etc.

History

Established in 2014.

Former teachers of A Child’s Garden, left further their passion for teaching and create their own philosophy based on their individual classroom experiences and beliefs. Both teachers believe in the importance of play, creative expression, and social and emotional development. Together they hope to expand today’s early childhood educational beliefs and offer a high quality preschool to the families of Albuquerque. Our goal is to gain funding for families in need to attend our school at a discounted rate and provide to all of the children in our community.
