We are a family owned and operated nutritional store and have been here for over 30 years. We specialize in vitamins, supplements, bodybuilding products and gluten free foods. We also carry no/​low sugar foods for diabetics and also carry some low carb foods. Our specialty is our knowledgeable sales team. We are non-​commission and do our best to answer all your nutritional questions. Dr. Robert Downs is the owner, and if he’s in the store even he will answer your questions!

History

Established in 1979.

Our large assortment of vitamins, minerals, bodybuilding products and gluten free foods started out as just a few supplements on a shelf in Dr. Downs’ Nutritional practice. As patients requested more and more products, the single shelf grew into a nutritional store. Dr. Downs is still the owner of R. Downs Nutrition, and his son-​in-​law, Michael Lichtenberger is the general manager.

Decided to try R Downs for Nutrion and Supplement advice. The individual who helped was very knowledgeable and outgoing. He asked plenty of questions to help me find just the right supplement that would work for my health needs. I’ve tried plenty of sports nutrition shops in the past and this one seemed to stick out in my head as the place to go when you’re not sure exactly what you need and want some true health nuts directing you in the right direction. I was even offered free samples to minimize any overspending and ensure that I was happy with their recommendations. Give this local place a shot and you will be happy.

When I first started Bodybuilding I knew very little about supplementation. I spent hours and hours in this store as a teenager reading labels and asking a million questions. No matter if I was in there for 2 hours or more everyone always was grateful to have my questions and my business. I learned so much of my base knowledge from their well-​educated employees.
To this day they still run a crisp business front with the same standard for their employees. Prices are beyond competitive and they stay stocked with the supplements that many of the chain stores are slow to get.
