Smith’s food sales are great! I like to buy in bulk, so I appreciate the bulk pricing. And I highly recommend the bakery section. They make the most delicious cakes to order. I have always ordered the 8″ round, double layer fudge cake with chocolate butter filling between the layers. This chocolate cake is amazing! I have also tried their ice cream cakes, and their cheesecake platter with different cheesecake items. Elizabeth is wonderful. They make their cakes fresh that morning and can pick them up by 11 am. Heavenly!!!

I shop at Smith’s quite frequently. I have had some good experiences and some horrendous experiences. Three stars was the most fair rating I could give. I have had experiences on both sides of the spectrum. One time I went in and their ebt system was down so people were getting out of line and having no choice but to abandon their groceries. The cashier was beyond rude and stated to me quite loudly that I must have done«something right» in my life that I was able to pay for my own groceries. I told him I was not any better than those who needed help. Just lucky. He kinda made a scowling face and didn’t say anything else. I also have had excellent advice from mostly the cashiers and management. A few select cashiers are my favorite and I will stand in a longer line to get them specifically. The managers alway like to help. Today I went into the store to get some deli meat and it wasn’t ringing up at the advertised price. The manager was quick to fix my issue and I was appreciative. The store is well organized and clean with a giant exception to the bathrooms. When they are open, they usually need some major tlc.

I didn’t used to like coming here but now it’s more empty. Some sales are really good but some things are overpriced. If I come here for groceries sometimes you’ll get a good sale sometimes you wont. Usually stuff like chips and cookies are the things that are overpriced here. Some staff are friendly some avoid you at all cost

The store is dirty and provides almost no service. The manager, Mr. Montaño, is incompetent and does not care and unresponsive. The lines are exceptionally long. Compared to Smiths in other Albuquerque neighborhoods it is hard to know it belongs to the same company. There are almost no organics and the only bulk foods where pinto beans. It is clearly a forgotten step child in a poorer neighborhood serving people who have been taught their time is not valuable and they don’t matter.

Bought Blue Bird flour and it was full of bugs, I think they need to clean up more often.

This is obviously an older building. It has a unique set up compared to most of the Smith’s stores I’ve been in. As far as I can tell the sales are comparable to other locations. The food quality/selection is the same. I typically shop at Smith’s. I like the rewards program because I get great coupons, quarterly cash and gas discounts. If you bring your own bags, you get bonus points(they really add up). What makes me a fan of this location, are the workers. Every single time I’ve gone one or more employees has greeted me, offered service, etc. or are noticeably present and working. I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop at this location, but I would never hesitate to shop there.
