Amazing selection! Went to the one in ABQ, and the staff was very knowledgable and kind. Love this place for vintage wines at reasonable prices

This is the first time I have ever been to any Total Wine. The parking sucks so watch out. Other than the parking I had a blast. So many wines, beers, and other alcohol to choose from you can easily get lost. Many helpful employees around to assist you in making your choice or at least narrow it down for you. Often times they have wine tastings so check often to see when.

Love Total Wine. So many options and such helpful staff to guide you in the right direction. I could spend an hour shopping for different wines from all over the world. The selection is amazing, they have reviews and helpful hints for a lot of there products. They offer tastings and classes. Recently took a wine class to brush up on my wine knowledge, we learned a lot and enjoyed our time.

I love going here to discover new and fun things. They have a great choice of wines and other alcoholic beverages. At times they will have samples and it is a great way to learn about new products.

They really need to re-​think their procedures for people purchasing kegs. We own a kegerator and every time we come in to change out a keg it is too much work. Something needs to be mainstreamed and not so difficult about the transaction

Ashley helped pick out a wine for a wine tasting party. Loved the extra attention she provided and several suggestions for different types, regions and styles. Felt like she was going to the party too … I should have invited her, the host would have been cool with it.

I love this place, it’s huge and provides a fantastic selection. Not only that, but the prices are great! The only place I shop now for my drinks.

I’m a huge fan of the local, little, guy too… but disagree with the practice I see here of giving Total Wine fewer stars because they are big. They earned every star here. They freaking rock. I’ve not had anything less than STELLAR customer service, the selection of wines, beers, and liquors… as well as their prices… are outstanding, and it’s actually fun to get lost in here (and find a new friend to share something you didn’t know about your tasty beverage of choice). I avoided coming here for over a year because of wanting to support the locals, but I regret it. Frankly, Total Wine just outshines.

Total wine has a great selection of beverages. But if you care about customer service at all, DO NOT SHOP HERE! Thanks to a faulty keg tap I have had to pay about $ 1000 to fix damage to the inside of my car and the management at the store shrugged it off as «too bad for you». I will never come to this store again. There are plenty of other liquor stores in Albuquerque with just as good of a selection and much better customer service.

What a huge, comprehensive mecca of wine, spirits, accessories, and cigars. They had all of the rare limited production Taos Lightning whiskeys I was seeking, as well as the bottle-​protective rolling suitcase I needed to transport said brown liquors safely back to Brooklyn. Thanks for all the help, and the discount on the display model rolling bag!

Great selection of all my favorite beers with the price that matches and often beats the competition!

I rented a keg tap from this place as a favor for a birthday party. The rental fee is $ 2 & the tap itself requires a deposit — this one was $ 42 total. No big deal, right? «I’ll return it after the party & get my money back,» I shrugged it off.
Nope! Took the tap back in with my receipt today & the managers refused to refund my deposit. They said they don’t use the tap that I have, and even showed me the ones they usually rent out.
So, why did you rent this one to me? Are you accusing me of lying? Should we check your security footage to prove that this is indeed the tap I was given?
Major rip off.
I’ll never go back.
Be warned, ye tap renters: take a selfie with the tap & the receipt & whichever disrespectful manager is trying to rip you off at the time. It’ll save you $ 40.

Their variety, free-​tastings, and selection is fantastic! If I’m ever looking for something on the ‘rare’ side, I go here. Chances are they will have it and with two convenient locations, they are typically close-​ish to wherever I’m at in the city. I’m a big fan of getting to put together my own 6-​packs. That is awesome!

I sure do love coming here, especially on Friday’s (free whiskey, wine, and sometimes beer tasting).
As the name says, they have a broad selection of wine, which I haven’t really taken a look at. My main focus is on the beer which you can buy individual bottles/​cans, 6-​packs, or bigger. Every time I do a beer haul for my brother in law, I come here. It’s just so easy to build your own 6-​pack. And the variety is awesome! I just wish they had the ability to carry all of Left Hand Brewery’s offerings, but I understand it’s a distributor issue. (oh well)
The staff is nice and friendly, always willing to help out. Even if they have no idea what you’re looking for, they will go around asking the other employee’s for you until you get an answer.
The only odd thing is that at checkout, if you hand them your military ID, they usually have to call a manager over to double check it O. o
Maybe it’s just the weird NM laws, I don’t know.

When I first heard about this place, it was described to me as «The Disneyland for Adults». With a name like that how could I not go?!
This place delivered. They have everything you are looking for in the realm of wine, beer, and spirits (even cigars). And if they don’t have an exact match for that exotic beer you had that one time at a microbrew in New England or that luscious red from that one vineyard in France, the friendly staff is always very helpful.
Although, sometimes there are so many options to choose from you are not sure what to pick. The place is so giant that it would take many lifetimes (and livers) to try it all. Luckily, the staff has rotating picks they list as their favorite. If you are in an indecisive mood, pick a staff member and select from their picks for a while to see if you have the same wine palette. Then, it’s like having a personalized wine recommender.

I should’ve known something was great inside these doors, the parking lot is always full to capacity. I mean I’ve found myself circling the lot and still waiting for someone to back out and I slide into their spot.
Once indoors you’re greeted with wall to wall drinks, mixers, professional mixing equipment etc
As far as the eye can see, I’m greeted with selections of various wines, beers & alcohols.
I joked about the taste-​testing, but this afforded me to make a selection I probably would’ve never made (I’ve hearted Patron from day ONE).
They carry seasonal Abita beer… That’s unheard of outside of Louisiana. Because of this, they had me at HELLO!!!

I hate to say I finally broke down and went to a chain liquor store, but I did… So many of the wonderful little wineries I have traveled to have wine that I cannot purchase anywhere in NM (although Jubilation has been absolutely wonderful about trying). Total Wine is such a huge company, some of my favorite wines are sold exclusively through them (other than the winery, of course.)
So my next thought, was that it was huge and there were a lot of wines and it was just going to be a Wal-​Mart of liquor. (If you know me, you’ll realize this is not a compliment in any way). I was pleasantly surprised that this was NOT the case. The staff is extremely knowledgable about beer, wine and spirits. I went in the first time for a bottle of my favorite vodka and left with a new favorite vodka.
Tonight, I spent an hour with Josh picking out a case of assorted red wines. He understands my desire for my wines to smell earthy and oaky and kept in the price range I wanted. He teaches the classes there also, and I am going to the Washington wines at his suggestion (since I insisted I didn’t like wine not out of France or California — he’s supposedly changing my mind…)
This may be the first chain I recommend to anyone based on the unique selections and high-​end customer service.

We were on the way to Trader Joes, when I asked m, y boyfriend anywhere else you want to go today. He said «oh lets go to Total wine and Spirits it is like the Home Depot of alcohol.» It is literally like 4 blocks from our initial destination. They also have tasting events and classes most of which are free.
I used to work for the NH liquor commission for almost 3 years at a wine specialty shop. I have many favorite wines such as Macchia mischievous zin, The Boxer– Molly dooker Plazo del torr Allegrini, Tres Picos Granacha, Rombauer chard, Ferrani Carano Chard and Fume. Kings Estate Pinot Gris. These are all available here. Sadly I can not find Klinker Brick Syrah in town, but the Zin is available and highly recommended. They have a few different cotes du Provance Rose not the one I was looking for which is Croix du Boisson. But the appellation in general is one of my favorites for Roses, perfect for summer evenings.
I believe Josh helped us, I am horrible with names. He is the wine specialist and an amazing individual. If there is any confusion as to finding him, his likeness adorns an huge poster on an end cap (which offers his recommendations– should he not be in house to assist you in person). Josh is very knowledgeable and helpful about liquor and wine. As I someone who has worked hospitality and in the retail wine/​liquor industry– it is invaluable to have a staff member like him.
If you want to learn about wine and spirits, or expand your pallet and knowledge talk to Josh, he will help you. If you want to learn about wine I would go out and buy Kevin Zalray –Windows on the World complete wine course-​which I vote as the best book for demystifying wine. Michael Jackson is one of the more trusted writers on the subject of Whiskey and Scotch.
Selection and prices were hard to beat. They had 4 – 5 Genevers, 4 – 5 Cachaca’s, Scotches I had never seen before and many selections of Rye Bourbon. I did not even make it to see the beer I was so overwhelmed with selection and greatness,
In NH we are supposed to have the lowest alcohol prices in North America but some of the prices here blew NH away. Gelnmorangie for 28 $ usually 40 $ in NH. Ferrier Carano Chard 20 $ usually 30 $ Michael and David 6^th sense 12 $ usually 17 $ other states. I know this is a chain and I love Jubilation just as much,

I thought I had posted this review already. Oh well, it’s way past May when I visited Total Wine & More but I’m sure it’s still just as good now. This chain liqour store is more than just a store. Bring your ID if you want to sample the goods and get your buzz on (just kidding, no I’m not, yes I’m kidding). This store has tasting stations throughout the store (when I went, it was hello! to a summer shandy, scotch and some tasty wines).
Everyone was super friendly, seemed to know their proseccos from their semi-​seccos and we learned a little bit about the store’s orgins from the cashier who I think was also a manager. Apparently they have locations in Texas but not yet in Austin. Hope they come here soon.

Ok, lets start with what I like about this place. The selection is far better than any other shop in town. Period. I counted — there are approximately 9 trillion different beers, wines and liquors. Seriously, I counted! Also, their customer service is top notch. When was the last time you were in a store carrying a couple items and an employee offered to go get you a cart? Oh, also, they do some nice tastings of both wine and beer (and even a couple of desert liquors). Cool.
So, what is just mediocre about the place: the prices. Not a lot higher or lower on average. Sure, there are some good deals, but generally things are not a lot different than elsewhere in town.
Now, what do I not like about Total Wine? Well, it’s a chain. Yep, that’s it. I really like to shop local whenever I can, and Total Wine is not. It’s a nation-​wide chain.
The outcome? Well, I will still try to shop local whenever I can. But, if I need something that is hard to find, or want to try something new, or just need to be slightly pampered by a very friendly and attentive staff, I’ll come to Total Wine.
