We aim to lay an educational foundation that will develop intelligent, independent, and creative individuals. Our motto is love them, teach them, watch them soar!

History

Established in 2013.

After babysitting for over 20 years, I decided to leave corporate america to follow my dream of caring for children full time. ARTS Academy is young but full of love, laughter, learning, and fun.

Business Owner

My Name is Nakia Smith. I am a native of Alexandria, Virginia. I have been baby sitting children from newborns to age 10 for over 20 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. I am currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have loved children since I was a toddler. My mother often tells of how I would care for my younger brother and how she let me change is diaper when I was 2 years old. I believe that each child is a gift. It is my desire to love them, teach them, and watch them soar!
