I’ve been to their home lot in Slanesville, WV and seen the care and attention this family-​owned business puts into nurturing their trees to perfection and carefully preparing them for transport and sale. It’s no wonder their trees are the best available anywhere, and their pricing is very reasonable.

Bought my tree on the day after Thanksgiving and it is still looking great on New Year’s Eve!
The customer service here was wonderful. The staff helped me to find the perfect tree to fit in our space. All the trees were fresh and had a nice shape. No Charlie Brown trees here!

This year was two firsts for me, a live tree and the first Christmas with my boyfriend. While I was excited we spent it together, the live tree was a thrilling highlight, too. I highly recommend this place and that you ask for Sam. This guy is quality! Not only is he a fellow coconut juice fan, he’s a professional in his own right. After I naively picked a tree, Sam probed me about my selection, realized we were novices, and guided us both through several more viable options. The tree we selected was taller than my apartment would accommodate and Sam graciously cut it down to size for me. He even let me keep the trimmings so I could go home an flex my Pinterest muscle #DIY. The result was an amazing customer service experience, a bomb Christmas tree and memories I’ll always take with me. There’s nothing like coming home to the smell of fresh pine. Thanks, Sam. New to the area so I needed to do a bit of research to figure out where to get a tree. Some googling/​yelp searching led me to this little gem. I was a little worried about the apartment complex parking lot setup but upon arrival, they did have a fair number of trees to choose from. We looked a little on our own but quickly enlisted the help of one the employees. We were in the market for a Douglas fir 6′ or under. He showed us one tree that was a little bare on the bottom. The next one he showed us was perfect. We also opted for a tree stand. He cut off the bottom for us and attached the tree stand after showing us how it worked. We paid $ 55 and added on a $ 5 tip for our helper. He even tied it down in the trunk for us! Very pleased with our purchase and will likely return next year!

Stopped by last week after hearing about it through Unilocal.The gentleman from Morocco helped us find our tree and did a good job even though his english wasn’t the best or knew the prices off the top of his head. (We had to go back and look at the prices on the board). No biggie. However the guy with the red hair and beard was a bit rude when my wife tried to use the coupon that was on the table before purchase. He gave her a hard time about it. I didn’t hear the conversation as I was watching the other gentleman load our tree on top of our suv but my wife said she was put off by it. Look I’m all for supporting small businesses and especially my brothers in christ but this guy needs to learn better customer service. Not sure if we’ll come back again next year or go back to home depot

PERFECT! Such a great experience! Everyone there is so helpful, polite, and knowledgable. We arrived at about 4pm on a Tuesday and it was decently busy, but a young man helped us right away. He found us the perfect tree on the first try. We got a 9 foot Douglas Fir for $ 80, plus $ 10 for a tip. We will definitely keep coming back for future Christmas trees!

Honestly, the only thing they didn’t do was roll out the red carpet this year lol.
Trees: They have 4 different types for you to chose from, my favorite is the Fraser Fir. They also have Canadian, Douglas, and Pines. Prices depend on the type & height of tree that you would like before the tree’s base is cut &/​or the top of your tree is «topped off» as I like to call it. (Prices posted). Fyi they also have fresh wreaths, fresh garland, tree bases, & lights (prices also posted). Their trees are a little pricier than you rinky-​dink places, but it absolutely shows in the beauty, longevity, & scent of the tree.
Service: Today Matt greatly assisted me (he has the handsome red hair). He was fantastic. This year I was able to just tell him I wanted a Fraser Fir, my preferred height, & if I preferred a fat vs. skinny tree. He stood a couple up for me to explain what I was looking for & the 3^rd time was a charm! He absolutely knew how to stand it up & secure it (tip: get the higher quality base with your tree, then use it each year… yeah you’re welcome for that jewel of a tip). Matt also secured it to my SUV (Sports Utility Van lmao). I didn’t have to assit with anything which the young man that helped me last year was good, he just was new so hadn’t mastered a lot of things & I had to help a lot. This year their staff was on point 100%.
I’ll see you all again each year with my family. You all are a part of our new tradition!
Oh & I think it is important to note, the owners do care about your bad, neautral, & good feedback about their trees & services which is impressive!

The perfect Christmas tree experience. The trees were very fresh and taller than I expected. We were assisted by Tyler who picked out a nice one for us and cut the base and removed a few branches. He even brought it to our car and tied it onto the roof for us. Everyone was very friendly and our 8 foot Frasier Fir only cost $ 60, cheaper than Home Depot. Plus the trees at Home Depot we’re looking a little ragged, with needles falling all over the place. I will definitely be back here next year!

Stumbled upon this place through a combination of Googling and Unilocal surfing, and I am glad that I did. Got there on a Thursday night around 6:30p, and was immediately assisted by one of their employees. After learning what height and type of tree we were looking for, he helped us pick the best of the batch. We quickly checked out and he even offered to install the tree stand on the trunk for us. I was happy with the tree prices, though the additional items they sold (tree stand, lights, etc.) may have been slightly over priced, but it didn’t bother me. We got a 4 – 5 foot tree and a stand for $ 45, plus the option to tip the employee who helped us, which we certainly did. I’m waiting for the branches to open up a bit, and so excited to trim the tree.

This is our third year getting a tree from Almost Heavenly trees. They have beautiful, fresh trees and a kind and helpful staff. We look forward to going back each year.

These guys were A-​class wonderful. After getting a absolutely beautiful douglas fir home I began to have significant problems with it not holding water, etc. Not only did these guys make a house call to give it a fresh cut and check it but when it still wasn’t working they helped me exchange it for a new tree that is just great. It really speaks to great customer service and great holiday cheer that they did this for me. I am so happy that my daughter and I will get to enjoy this. We sent family there for a tree already and we will definitely be back next year.

I laughed so hard the first time I passed this place. I saw it from the road: a trailer, a tent with a folding table underneath, and some trees laying on the ground, all in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The website looked so enticing, but when I saw the real deal it was laughable. I almost turned around because it looked so disappointing, but I’m so glad I didn’t!
I came around 7:30 PM, so towards the tail end of their operating hours. There was no one else there except for me, my boyfriend, and four workers (one of whom I later found out was the owner). Just like on their website, they had a chart of prices according to height and type of tree. I had come for a pine tree (aka the cheapest), but they didn’t have any, so I got a Douglas Fir. (I know nothing about trees, just as a disclaimer.)
I told the person they had democratically voted to assist us (seriously, I heard a «this is a democracy») the height of the tree we were looking for and he found one right away. They had a pretty good selection, and I was happy with the first tree that was picked for us, so that was fairly simple. The guy gave the tree a good shake and spin to show it off to us before we accepted it.
He trimmed some of the lower branches for us and sawed off the bottom. We also bought a tree stand, so they set it up on that for us also. While they were doing that, we had a chat with the owner. He asked us how we had found the place, etc. We found out that he was retired Navy and was now selling Christmas trees. He was super nice! After our tree was all set up, he thanked us for buying from him («My wife will be especially happy.») and they tied it to the top of the car for us, twine included at no extra cost. My tree made it home safe and sound and looks great!
Unfortunately, I won’t be in Virginia next year, but if I was, I would definitely come back again! The customer service was great, the prices were fantastic, and there was a bunch of selection! I feel bad for almost writing this place off because of how it looked from the road. Definitely buy local; it’s worth it!

I absolutely LOVE this place. I heard about it from Unilocal.The customer service is SO great. I got a beautiful douglas fir for a great price! The shape was perfect. They are so patient when it comes to finding the perfect tree. I purchased a sturdy $ 25 tree stand from them as well. They secured the stand on the tree for us.
I recommend bringing a sheet or a large plastic bag if you plan to carry it home on top of your car. I forgot mine at home but they had bags for purchase ($ 3). They also help you tie it to your roof. They provided the twine.
I have received so many compliments on the tree. I will definitely come back next year! Thank you guys for having the best costumer service ever!

We got our Christmas tree here last year and were so impressed with the customer service and quality of the tree that we just had to come back! We are so pleased that we did because their customer service is consistent and their tree selection is once again excellent (grown in WV & NC)! We went with the Fraser Fir this year; it’s a family owned business and they really are genuine in helping you find your perfect tree. I think we just found our go-​to place for our Christmas trees. :)

Bought our Christmas tree here for the second year in a row. A great selection of different sizes; we got a 7′ Fraser fir and were assisted by a friendly and helpful employee who thanked us for coming back again this year. The trees on the lot were cut in WV on Friday, with fresh trees being replenished throughout the season as new truckloads come in.

These folks are really nice, have great trees, and have always been helpful in loading the tree on top of our car and carefully tying it down. We’ve been really happy the last two years and would highly recommend Almost Heavenly Trees!

This is my second year getting my tree here, and both times I’ve had a great experience. As others have said, the staff is very friendly and patient and the prices are very reasonable. The Frasier fir we got today looks fantastic, and last year I found that our tree stayed fresh and green much longer than others I’ve had in the past. We also needed a new stand this year, and discovered that if you buy one there they’ll set the tree in the stand for you before tying it to the car– it worked great! Definitely recommend.

Not that tree shopping is completely heinous like buying a car, but this place made it easy. We were a little late to the game but they still had awesome trees at great prices. And they’ll deal a little! Didn’t see much for scrawny little trees, even with the good ones gone. I’d highly reccomend over Home Depot or the random CVS parking lot.

This is the first year that my husband and I have purchased a real Christmas tree, and I was a little nervous about where best to get one that would live through the holidays. I always had real Christmas trees growing up, but I had never bought one as an adult. Nevertheless, Almost Heavenly Trees & Greenery made the process way easier than I could have expected, and for the first time, like ever in my life, we left the tree lot with the first tree we looked at.
This is a fantastic ‘mom and pop’ tree farm operation and the young man, forgive me that I have forgotten his name, was super fantastic! He spent 20 minutes with us making sure we had the exact tree we wanted, and even helped up strap it to the roof of our car for the trip home. I feel really bad that I’ve forgotten his name because he was so personable. Not once did I feel like he was rushing us even though the lot was busy.
And the trees are spectacular. It didn’t look like much when we arrived because it is just trees in a lot, but they are quite fresh. The trees (douglas firs) from the family farm in WV were cut about a week before being sold. We ended up with a frasier fir (personal favorite) which came from a farm in NC but we were told they were about as fresh but they just couldn’t confirm the day they had actually been cut. The prices were very reasonable, especially for being a local business and not a ‘big box’ store.
We were just so impressed and are so very happy with our lovely tree that we are definitely life-​long customers as long as we are within reasonable driving distance! Thank you Almost Heavenly Tree & Greenery!
