Bank of America

This Bank of America is located off of Route 1, to the west of Boston Market. Getting in and out is a little tricky, as Route 1 is usually pretty busy, and you have to be cautious of the fast-​driving traffic on the service roads. I’ve been inside to make some deposits, and the staff are pretty friendly and efficient; most of the traffic is with the drive-​thru tellers/​ATM machines. I highly suggest in parking your car and use the walk-​up ATM, as you’ll probably have quicker transactions than waiting in the car queue.

I was really disappointed by my experience. I waited with another women for about 10 minutes before anyone asked if I/​we needed help. It was unclear when I arrived without an appointment who and/​or where I needed to sign up for in a place in line. Although the banker who helped me was very professional, I was surprised she didn’t have the answer I needed and had to call customer service. I hope my experience at BOA is not representative of the bank as whole.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any financial institutions! Bank of America in Alexandria, VA on Route 1, avoid under any circumstances. Julie the Branch Manager has absolutely no management skills. 2 visits I asked for the manager and she kept pushing me off to her Assist Manager! When I finally got to speak to her, she stood over me for 10 mins instead of sitting in the chair right next to her. Her policies and procedures are inconsistent at best and the branch is a mess! This branch is way over her head and experience. Customers are fighting with each other. Do they not know there are so many other banks we can go to? They have just lost another customer who has been loyal for 14 yrs.

So slow and inefficient. I try never to go there because it takes at least a 30 minutes of I have to go inside. Unfortunately, they are the closets bank to me. I only use them for foreign currency. It is a pain.

I owed a friend money, and was in this shopping center anyway, so I figured I’d use one of their drive thru ATM machines and withdraw some cash.
First of all, their two ATM machines are one after the other, so if a car is using the first machine, there isn’t a way to access the one further ahead until that car finishes. That doesn’t seem efficient.
I pulled up to the ATM at the farther end, to see that it wasn’t working. Someone was behind me using that ATM, so I had to circle my car all the way around the building to get back into line for THAT machine. When I finally pulled up to it, it said it wasn’t dispensing any cash.
… thanks Bank of America. I couldn’t get cash from either of your two ATM machines. Still owe that friend, by the way.
