Dr. Bodnar specializes in herniated discs, lower back pain, neck pain, work injuries, auto accident injuries, and headaches/​migraines. Dr. Bodnar can also help you with numbness or tingling in your extremities as well as many other types of discomfort such as neck pain and shoulder pain.

Dr. Bodnar places a great emphasis on determining the true root of your pain or discomfort by providing you with a full examination and carefully studying your medical history. After your initial consultation, Dr. Bodnar will implement a customized wellness plan which may consist of chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, nutritional counseling, reflexology, and physical therapy.

Dr. Bodnar has been serving the Alexandria Community as a Chiropractor since 1997. Bodnar Chiropractic Center takes a holistic approach in treating each patient’s individual needs. The Center also offers acupuncture, massage therapy, and reflexology, provided by experienced professionals.

Dr. Bodnar graduated from St. Vincent College, where he majored in Biology and Chemistry, in 1993. He received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, in 1997. Palmer College was the first Chiropractic College in the world, establishing the profession in 1895. It is considered to provide the utmost education in the chiropractic field. While at Palmer, Dr. Bodnar played Division 1 National Rugby and was President of the Pettibon Spinal Biomechanics Club.

Dr. Bodnar lives in Alexandria with his wife, daughter, and 2 dogs. In his free time he enjoys golf, mountain biking, hiking, basketball, and photography.

Dr. Bodnar and Dr. Brown are my two fave guys when it comes to treating back pain. I’ve been seeing Dr. Bodnar for many many years and recently switched over to Dr. Brown because of an auto accident last January. They have given my back and hips no quarter when getting them back in shape. I highly recommend either one of them.

I highly recommend this office. My husband and I have both been going to see Dr. Bodnar for almost two years now, even after moving further away, and love it. Both Dr. Bodnar and Dr. Brown are super friendly, professional and great at what they do. I always feel better afterwards, and come in with random aches every now and then that are fixed without hesitation. Dr. Bodnar is excellent at remembering patients, not only what you need adjusting, but also about your interests and things to talk about. The office staff is always friendly and helpful if we have any questions. Don’t forget to grab a mint on your way out!

I am really impressed! I have been to several chiropractors over the years and this practice is by far the most professional and friendliest by far. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and take your problem very seriously, and I feel very confident that I am in good hands. I was most impressed by how the doctor individually consults with you to discuss your concerns and medical history etc and the testing and X-​rays that they do etc. I have only had one appointment so far and have already seen a big difference in my pain level. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in search of a good chiropractor or who has pain and is seeking treatment.

This is a very professional and friendly place. I have received chiropractic care from both doctors multiple times. They both have a slightly different method but both work for me. I have also tried acupuncture there for the first time. Casey is wonderful! She really takes the time and does a great job. My pain was gone for the first time in two years after just one appointment with her. I have had two now. She is out of network for my insurance or I would keep seeing her.

Dr. Bodnar is fantastic! I arrived all jacked up and couldn’t function at all– He immediately put me on the adjustment table and really went to work on me; exactly what I needed. I left sore but feeling much better. After a restful night, bio freeze, ice and rest, I was amazingly almost perfect in the morning! Just a little sore, but so happy I didn’t suffer through the pain and try to «work it out» like I normally do.

Dr. Brown and Dr Bodnar are very good and I have recommended them to many people. I do not care for the location as the traffic getting there is terrible on Route 1. The office is clean and comfortable, but I wish they would decorate it and make it a little more nice/​modern inside. It would be nice if they would just make the appointments 45 minutes — 1 hour and include other services like massaging or holistic approach to help with the adjustment treatments. Since they have the service providers there it seems easy to incorporate them into the overall well being approach.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found Dr. Bodnar and his staff! I absolutely love Karen, the office manager, she is always so kind and accommodating.
It’s been almost a year ago now that my neck started hurting so bad that I could not turn my head to either side, or look up or down. I then started looking for a chiropractor at the recommendation of my massage therapist. I had never tried a chiropractor before, so I was a little nervous at first. My pain subsided after only the third visit! (If you’re worrying about the procedure, DON’T…it is so fast and feels a million times better afterward! Do not let this hold you back!) My neck issue took several months to correct, but I am so relieved that it was able to be done sans medicine or surgery.
I really do look forward to my visits and plan to continue with regular chiropractic care :) Who else can say that about going to the doctor?!

Dr. B is the best chiropractor I’ve ever had. He adjusts my spine in so many more ways than other chiropractors do. He has excellent techniques. I’ve been going to chiropractors for over 8 years now and I’ve moved around so I’ve been to several different ones and I am soooo glad I found Dr. B. He is absolutely the best in my opinion and I can’t say enough good things about him.
He and his staff treat you like family there. I will continue to go there as long as I’m in the area.

I cannot say enough good things about Bodnar Center! I went there originally for an injury from running and ended up going back once I was better for regular chiropractic visits/​adjustments. Dr. Brown worked his magic on me and I can’t thank him enough for getting me back to a place where I can run without pain.
I have also seen the massage therapist and she was so great. She really listened to wear I was having pain and focused on those places. It was the most relaxing experience I have ever had and can’t wait to get another massage.
I know go just for the health benefits of seeing a chiropractor. In addition, the office is such a great environment. Everyone who works there is so nice and a pleasure to see. The receptionists were helpful and chatted with me on my first visit, just made waiting less of a «waiting game».
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chiropractor!

Dr. Bodar is a godsend! For years I had pain in my back and tried everything to get relief. I was skeptical of going to a chiropractor, but my massage therapist insisted I go see Dr. Bodar. I am so glad I did! I called and left a message during their lunch break, and was very pleased to hear back from one of the friendly ladies behind the desk to schedule my first appointment.
Upon my first visit I was treated so kindly and warm by the staff. Dr. B took x-​rays and explained the areas of of concern. He then very thoroughly explained his plan to alleviate my pain and discomfort. I began my visits per his recommendations, and I feel like a new person. My pain is gone and my posture is even better!
I received a beautiful Christmas card that was personally addressed and signed by the staff. Although my visits are spread out further now since he has corrected my spine, Karen, Michelle and Dr. Brown and Dr. Bodar all treat me like I’m one of their friends. The visits are always the highlight of my day!
I am so impressed with the way Dr. Bodar runs his practice, and I would recommend him to anyone reading this or wondering if they should schedule and appointment!

Before visiting Dr. Bodnar I used to have neck discomfort (probably mostly from sitting in front of a computer all day). After two visits to Dr. Bodnar my neck discomfort is totally gone – no more stiff necks in the morning or anything! The office environment is super friendly and you feel as if you’re part of the fam. It’s obvious they have regulars and the staff remember the little tidbits you told them the time before. We’re still working on my lower back but I’m definitely already able to tell a difference! Would highly recommend the office to friends and family.

Dr. Bodnar is a kind, thoughtful, and gifted doctor. The office is wonderful and it is always a pleasure to see everyone.
My pain centers around my neck. I am in my early thirties and used to «throw out my neck» every few weeks. The kind of injury where you have to turn your whole body around to look at something. I am doing so much better now after being a patient of Dr. Bodnar. I have mobility and my pain is gone.
