Was a patient here for more than a year. One day I came for regular cleaning and received a bill of $ 129. Normally with the insurance I only paid $ 25 out of pocket. The receptionist explained that one of the dentists left their practice and they no longer accepted my insurance. She told me that they have called to inform me about the change. Truth is they didn’t not. The only message I got from them was to confirm my appointment.

I first saw Dr. Freedman on a dental emergency when I had a filling fall out. I called on a Friday, I was in on Monday morning. I had never been, and eve as a first-​time patient they got me in right away. The folks behind the front desk were very helpful in ensuring that I was covered with my insurance plan and even took the time to walk me through my insurance plan details. I’ve now been four times for various things (regular cleaning, crown, filling) and every time the service and experience is great! I also like how Dr. Freedman will be real with you on your options, such as recommending a filling versus a crown (crown would be more $$$ for them) because it made more sense to do that in my situation. Awesome office staff and a great overall experience! I would definitely recommend.

The dentists and hygienists are nice but the admin staff is awful. On countless occasions, my appointments were cancelled or changed at the last minute. The final straw for me was when I had to change the date of an appointment twice due to a family emergency. They had the nerve to charge a $ 50 fee, knowing that they had moved my appointment time 3x already.
Additionally, the hygienist does all the work. The dentist comes in at the very end (after you wait for an eternity), looks at you for 10 seconds and leaves. Doesn’t feel thorough at all.
This went from being a quality office 5 years ago to now what amounts to a fee hungry, extra service pushing, money-​driven operation. So glad I stopped going.

Always a positive experience. We have been faithful patrons since 2008! Every member of the staff is amazing. Dr. Freedman is cheerful and knowledgeable. Even the kids love him!

This review is not about Dr. Freedman as I was not able to meet him. Did my research in advance to make sure he is a provider in the network of my dental insurance company then I made an apponitment on the phone. I provided all my insurance information. The receptionist who put my information down double checked my insurance subscriber ID, group number and confirmed my appointment. When I visited today, another receptionist saw my insurance card and told me they’re not participating in the plan… She apologized on behalf of the receptionist who originally received my appointment request. I wasted my time. Obviously, the receptionist who confirmed my appointment at the first place wasn’t properly trained and didn’t know what she’s doing. Shame…

Love Dr. Brad Freedman’s office and staff. Always a friendly, calm atmosphere every time we come in. Our whole family comes in for their semi-​annual appointments each year and our smiles are healthy and happy. :) Thanks so much!

I have Been coming to Dr Brad Freedman DDS for almost 20 years. The office staff is great, the hygienist are top notch and the Doc is one of the most pleasant people you could meet. Especially while digging around in your mouth. I would highly recommend this practice. They are always timely and there has never been the old waiting around the lobby. Dr Freedman is never pushing extra techniques at extra cost. He is a common sense Dentist.

I have been bringing my two kids here for the past two years every six months. I absolutely love the service here. The customer service is wonderful. The women are so friendly and attentive. My son loves the treasure box and the cartoons! My daughter loves the massage chairs lol! Besides all the amenities they do a very good cleaning each and every time! Thanks

Be careful of what services are performed for you! I came to this office for a cleaning, which is covered by my insurance, and I ended up with a bill that I was not expecting. I thought that the exam is part of the cleaning but it appears that this is a separate charge. I remember the guy who saw me did not even spend a good two minutes with me. I am not going back to this place anymore. Really wanted to love this place as it is the closest dentist to my house, but I don’t like practices that like that keep billing for no reason. What a shame!

I had an issue with a bad tooth filling and was not satisfied with my previous dentist, so ended up on a quest for a good dentist. I checked on Unilocal and Dr. Freedman was conveniently located for me and with the great reviews I read, I decided to give it a shot. I called, they were able to get me in the same day! I was actually in a hurry to get checked because I had a trip planned a few days later, so was very satisfied with the prompt turnaround. The office is very modern and equipped with TV monitors all over the office to give you a SPA like feel. So when they were working on my tooth, I was watching videos of creeks, butterflies, and other relaxing views. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Dr. Andrew was the one who took care of me and oh boy! He was AWESOME! I am a perfectionist and by looking at my old filling (which had been done a few months prior) you could tell that it was done in a very sloppy way. But Dr. Andy did a thorough job and I love my new filling! :) After the appointment they called to check on me and I even got a letter in the mail from them to welcome me as a new patient. The letter had a hand written note from Dr. Andy with a personal message that tells you that they do pay attention to what you say to them and they care! This practice has taken my dentist experience to another level and I feel very blessed to have found them. No more tedious dental visits! Dr. Freedman, you have built a great practice and I command you for that. If you have the money in the future, I would suggest to add speakers in every room and play SPA-​like music… you can then change the name and call it SPA Dentistry ;) That’s all you need! Keep up the great job!

Great experience! I came here to have my chipped teeth fixed and Dr. Andrew did a great job! I felt comfortable the whole time and well informed by Karla as she explained everything throughly to me when getting the X-​rays. I arrived early and was taken care of efficiently. The office was very clean and inviting. I would definitely come back again!

I would rather give 3.5 stars. I really like Dr. Freedman. After a few years of looking, I found him here on Unilocal and based on the reviews, visited. The hygienist wasn’t the warmest fuzziest of them all, but he did a good job and spoke highly of Dr. Freeman. What I like is that he is conservative when it comes to your teeth. Not every issue is cause for ripping out teeth. So why not five stars?
I’m not sure if it’s his policy or his front desk’s, but it feels like a total hustle. I had to cancel an appointment. I called to reschedule and made a new one. The next day I got a phone call from their office regarding rescheduling. I said, great, because I’d made a new appointment yesterday that it didn’t look like I could keep it, so the new date would better. She rescheduled me.
After my visit, during checkout, the receptionist said I owed $ 50 for a broken appointment. I explained what happened and she said she would have to speak with management. Two weeks later, I received a bill for a $ 50 for a broken appointment, even though I’d rescheduled with them and made it clear I couldn’t make the appointment MORE that 24 hours in advance.
My husband went in for an appointment in January that I had made back in December, it was then that I learned that Dr. Freedman was not in my new dental plan. I pay too much for insurance to pay extra out of pocket, so I never rescheduled the follow-​up work I needed done. (And still need) However, at the beginning of February, I received an email and a phone call to confirm an appointment. I responded to both that I’d never made one and wouldn’t be making any new appointments because they were out of network. Again, in February and April, I received notices to confirm appointments I NEVER MADE. If for some reason I’d missed those calls, that would have been a $ 50 fee for missed appointments that again, I never made. When I finally spoke with a receptionist regarding these appointments, she said, «Well. They were made by Josh.» To which I responded, «Ma’am, I don’t know a Josh and I haven’t made any appointments since I learned you were out of network. What can I do to keep from receiving these random appointments?» Her response was, «Are you keeping the appointment or not?»
That’s why, though I love cleanliness of the office, the location is convenient to my job and it was the first dentist I found that I had high hopes of staying with, I refuse to even use the other dentists in the practice who take my insurance because I can’t risk receiving a host of fees that the front desk chooses to throw around on a whim. I don’t know how aware the dentists are of this practice and I doubt I’m the only one. My suggestion is to just be very aware of all your interactions with their front desk.

I was in search of a dentist that could fit my schedule and needs because you know every working person is pressed for time and I stumbled upon this wonderful office that opens on Saturdays. I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was just for emergencies like other practices but nope you can go for a regular visit. Finally! Then the receptionist was very welcoming and informative and the staff was amazing including my dentist Dr. Andrews who was fast, efficient, and comforting. I would truly recommend this practice.

I highly recommend anyone in the DMV looking for a dentist to see Dr. Freedman! To start, his staff is very kind and welcoming. They helped accommodate me for an emergency appointment, and made sure I was taken care of. It’s always refreshing to deal with a kind and friendly receptionist, especially since that is the person you end up communicating with the most in the office.
Dr. Freedman himself is also very respectful, and clearly quite talented in his profession given how busy his office was. He makes sure to spend quality time with each patient and does not make you feel rushed at all. Despite how busy he was, he still managed to see me on time for my appointment. His office is very clean and polished, and it just makes you feel good being there (which is rarely the case in a dental office!).
I had a really great experience here and I will definitely be returning as a regular patient!

I love this place, and everything about it and will be back. I have the utmost confidence in the doctor, and was treated over the top well by every single person from the first phone call to the final ‘thanks, see you later.’ The establishment has been there a long time, but you can’t tell because everything appears like it’s new and is so well maintained. Perfectly spotless everywhere I saw.
As far as the negative reviews, I can say that most practices do rely on hygienists to do the cleanings, and for the doctor to review and inspect at the end. And if there was a rude receptionist, he/​she is likely gone or changed ways now! Everyone in this place is keenly aware of the power of social media, and they are focused on providing the best service and experience possible, not leaving out a single detail. Well done.

I’ve been going here for a year and a half. No dental issues, just basic cleanings. Dr freedman and his staff seem knowledgeable and are pleasant to deal with. It’s a modern office with digital x ray equipment. Easy parking in a modern office park. Saturday hours too!

Seriously, the best dentistry I ever been!!! I gave 5 star because office is super clean, staff is really friendly, doctor, hygienist and dental assistant are professional! What else do you need?:)
They give you estimate before you start procedure and its always more affordable then any other dentistry I ve been in DMV area! Everyone there seems like love their job, and don’t put money as priority! Like they just enjoying making people smile!

The worst dentist I have ever had. For starts, the dentist only comes for the finishing touches, the assistants do the work. They kept me with my mouth wide open for so long, waiting for the dentist that my jaw hurt for 10 days, when I complained, the «dentist» wouldn’t even talk nor see me.
DO NOT GO!!!

I found Dr. Freedman through a coworker (who has very nice teeth, I might add) and have gone religiously ever since. Dr. Freedman is a fantastic dentist with fabulous interpersonal skills — I have been guilty of leaving dentists in the past for poor chairside manner, I mean who wants to deal with that?
Now I have had some significant work done (double crown/​root canal… ugh) and I can honestly say that the entire process was simple and painless (even the bill!). The staff at his office are all very pleasant, especially his financial officer who was the nicest, most professional and considerate lady in her field by far.
I also appreciate their hours as I work in Arlington and have to battle a bit of traffic to get to them — but it is worth it :).

How could anyone not give a ⁴⁄₅ star review for this office. I avoided going to the dentist for a few years (I know terrible), because it was never a pleasant experience for me. Two years ago, I had a tooth infection and a friend recommended Brad M Freedman’s office. I called and they squeezed me in immediately with Dr. Ratner. The office is clean, the staff is courteous, compassionate, and friendly. I like that I see the same hygienist (Sandra)most of the time, and the staff actually remembers me when I come into the office.
I have never had an appointment cancelled on me. I have never been in the office more than an 1hour –1 ½ hours (good thing). I wasn’t demonized or made out as a bad person because I had not seen a dentist for a few years. They have never tried to pressure me to get any extra dental work that isn’t needed. Any I appreciate that they are willing to discuss the cost with you before performing anything.
I love this office! As long as they are in the area, they will always have my patronage.
