I went to Eisenstein Bagels on 11÷10÷15 for a late lunch while I was running an errand in the area. I enjoy Eisenstein Bagels because they offer a traditional lox bagel sandwich. I was surprised when I arrived at this location to learn that Eisenstein Bagels was part of a small food cafeteria. I was worried that this location of Eisenstein Bagels would be scaled down as a result. I was happy that they had my favorite sandwich and as a treat I tried one of their specialty drinks. The service and food was good. However, the only sitting the food commissary has is outdoors. I was very glad I picked up a warm beverage(because it was a cold day) when I had to sit outside. In a nutshell, this location is a good representation of the Eisenstein Bagels brand but be ready to «grab and go».

This is a two-part review since I stopped at Einstein twice today, and also visited the Quizno’s sandwich shop while inside. Einstein workers are fiendly, helpful and efficient– I visited about 1pm for Einstein coffee and a Quizno sandwich. The dark coffee I like was empty, but the Einstein server immediately started a new brew which was finished by the time I had my sandwich from the other side of the store. Great coffee and it cost $ 1 since I have an Einstein coffee mug(also, buy six for $ 1 and the seventh is free). While waiting for my fresh-brewed coffeee, I ordered a hot sausage sandwich from the Quizno’s half of the store. The peppers were not sauteed as stated in the signs, but rather quite fresh and crunchy after passing briefly through the oven. Other than that, the sandwich was pretty good and the cash-out was quick. Then I stopped back about two hours later for another coffee, the Einstein server welcomed me as she was busy, but then I had to stand at the counter while the two Quizno’s employees stood there and watched me for a while before one caved-in and decided to take my $ 1 bill. While you may question why I place blame on the Quizno workers for not cashing out an Einstein customer more quickly, you must realize it’s a shared store and workers from both sides cash out patrons from both businesses; free workers pick up the slack. Well, Quiznos didn’t. All-in-all, I will keep visiting both Einstein and Quiznos, good coffee and good food. Einstein gets a 5, while Quiznos gets a 3, both for service, averaging a 4 for today.

Fast counter place. I thought the prices were a tad high($ 5 for a breakfast sandwich) and then I still had to buy coffee. The people behind the counter were super nice though… I even got a sample of a drink that I was saying looked good. I took off a star because this morning they did not have wraps and their breakfast wraps were super big($ 5) and spicy hot the way I like breakfast food. So I settled for a bacon and egg sandwich(about $ 4. and change). Good place to go if you want breakfast in a hurry!

I for the most part like this place. Sure, the bagels aren’t «New York» Style, but I won’t judge them against that. They offer a wide variety of bagels, they have been pretty fresh when I stopped by and they have made it past the breakfast only challenge many places like this face. Even the service is a-ok.

I don’t know if it’s just this store that’s gone way downhill, or the chain as a whole. I worked at the Patent Office from 2006 – 2009 and would frequently grab a quick breakfast/snack here. Good coffee, not the best. Pretty good quality bagels. Friendly staff. HOWEVER, fast-forward to 2012, and although it’s mostly the same staff, and they are still mostly friendly, the coffee is mediocre at best, and even pricier than either Starbucks nearby. The quality of the bagels has gone way downhill. And they scrape the tiniest amount of cream cheese possible onto it. The egg sandwich options are just gross. Everything is microwaved, and asparagus should not be microwaved. So watery and bland I actually couldn’t finish the sandwich. I tried ordering the nova lox bagel again for the first time last week, and equally disappointing. Too much cream cheese(possible when you’re trying to balance it with the salmon), giant rings of red onion(again, a flavor balancing issue), maybe 3 capers, and one tiny piece of paper-thin lox per half. Once I folded the lox over to give an acceptable cream cheese to lox ratio, it covered barely 1⁄3 of the bagel(which on the plus side, meant the other 2⁄3 of the bagel FINALLY had enough cream cheese on it!). Other reviews are right on the slowness of making payment. Which, considering I would ONLY come here for the convenience to the office for grabbing a quick bite, means I will unfortunately not be returning any time soon.

Their food supply is unexceptionally LOW. They are always running out of the thin bagels and other speciality items. The supply obviously does not meet the demand that really is poor planning. Furthermore, if they are going to operate in a business district have the supplies needed. I’m sure it’s not as costly and their profits would do exceedingly well. The staff mentioned in other reviews is on point. It is hard to feel like you’re bothering someone who is getting paid to be there. When you are given your food, it’s prepared well and is tasty. It would just be nice if the food was there to consume.

Stopped here for breakfast with my little guy. All the tables are outside but in the shade so that’s good. You order at the Einstein Bagels counter then pay at a different counter that they share with sub chain(can’t remember which one now). The lady that helped us with our bagels was very nice. I got the Asiago Cheese bagel with cream cheese on the side. It was good. When we went to pay it took forever for someone to come over and check us out. They saw us but didn’t even acknowledge us then finally came over. I would go back though mainly because the bagel was good and I don’t expect the best service from places like this.

nothing wrong with the food, it’s just the staff. And it’s not that they’re rude, they’re just indifferent zombies. No «good morning, good afternoon, or how-are-you». Just a blank look over my shoulder. My bagel is always handed to me in a bag that’s slathered with the cream cheese of the previous patron’s bagel. When paying, the staff seems more interested in completing their conversation with their co-workers than taking my money. From now on I’ll just go down the street where the ladies are happy to have my business and take special care in preparing my food.
