Food and service were beyond amazing. Fast and efficient service. They had soft jazz playing while I was eating. There are big screen TVs that played the news and sports. The outside ambiance isn’t all that great, but this spot is one of those hidden gems. I enjoyed my experience overall.

OK… Where do I start? So, Unilocal reviewers, I have you to thank for this. We were out doing grocery shopping and found this place by accident. Actually, it was on purpose… after shopping, we were starving and we were far away from our standby restaurant. So we went on Unilocal and, because this one had good reviews, we decided to try it… Great freaking choice! Feven gave awesome service… Ask for her! The food is yummy and satisfying! Top it off with a bottle of honey wine and you have the perfect night! This is our new go-to spot… Glad we found you!

I came here with the family a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved the experience. The food was delicious and presentation was just wow! The only disappointment was the slow service which could’ve been due to them being super packed that night.

Veggie platter is good but if you get it to go, each veggie comes in a little cup FYI.

Love this place. Everytime I come to DC, I try and stop by here. Yetashe Kitfow is amazing.

Some of the best Ethiopian I’ve had! I always order kitfo and their kitfo was amazing. Very well seasoned and flavorful. My friend ordered the tibs and that was great as well, the beef was tinder and not over cooked and had a little bit of pink inside… just how I like it! Based on the reviews I was expecting this really nice place but it’s literally a whole in the wall. But hey, whole in the walls usually have some of the best food, right! My review is more 4.5 stars, the only reason I’m not giving it a 5 is because the service was kind of slow but they were very friendly. If you are looking for a good Ethiopian restaurant and you like it to be flavorful and delicious, this is definitely the place to come!

I love Enat Restaurant! This is my go-to spot for authentic Ethiopian food! The vegetarian combo is on point and the lamb dishes are seasoned to perfection. Sometimes there is live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. If you are new to Ethiopian fare, go for the Doro Wat which just means chicken stew. The staff is decent too.

The food here is excellent. I was a little concerned because my wife doesn’t eat beef or lamb, which eliminated much if the menu, but the chicken she ordered was great. The wait staff was also very friendly, made good suggestions, and checked to make sure everything was good several times throughout the meal. The restaurant is definitely on the casual end, and there are several TVs. Appetizer, two entrees, dessert, a beer and a tea was about $ 50. Definitely recommend.

Was disappointed in this place and I LOVE Ethiopian food. Didn’t have good service and when we were trying to ask our waitress for help with the menu(because a lot of it isn’t in English) she seemed annoyed with us. There also seemed to be a problem with communication. When the food arrived it was just meh. I’ve had way better in the DC area. I was disappointed in their vegetarian plate and my husband was disappointed in their special/popular chicken dish. Even though this location is convenient for us we will definitely make the drive to a more enjoyable place.

I love me some Ethiopian good. Injera bread?? — load. Me. Up. I almost always get the vegetarian platter and and almost never let down. I’ll keep this short and sweet. The staff couldn’t be ANY lovelier. Incredibly gracious and sweet. The food was meh. Dishes that I LOVE, I was left perplexed by. And the serving sizes were teeny tiny. Which is never seen at another Ethiopian restaurant. I can’t really describe anything more because it was just that blah. There’s way better Ethiopian fare in DC

Disclaimer I’m Ethio– American: Great food, solid service(unique to find that in an Ethiopian establishment). Their signature piece might have to be their veggie selection and its presentation. Gotten it to go and dinned it– pleased all the same. Also, they serve kocho!

My first Ethiopian food experience was quite good. The server was very helpful in helping me decide what to get. I went with the vegetarian combo. It was something new to see how the server would pour each little dish on top of the injera when serving our meal. The injera was my favorite part of the meal. It was soft and spongey with a sourdough like taste. I’m officially an injera fan. The small dishes weren’t bad, but they tasted kind of like Indian food to me just with different spices. Nothing new. The hot sauce however was amazing. The food was 3 stars but an extra star for the friendly service.

I liked Enat. The food was good but definitely not the best Ethiopian in the area, in my humble opinion. I liked the fact that the vegetarian platter came with a lot of different options. But the flavor wasn’t all there. Some of the veggies tasted as if they came straight out of a can. I can’t really comment on the décor because the restaurant is so dark. Looking around I felt like maybe they were trying to hide the fact that they are renovating the place. The prices were reasonable and the service was good.

I wasn’t expecting the dive bar vibe, but I guess the small shared parking lot adds to the vibe. I still give Dama the edge for kitfo but damnnn Enat’s meat chunks are on point! We ordered the Enat agegill, which I have mad respect for as a meat-lover’s combination option: bere wat(loved the heat), alicha(just the right amount of chew), gomen be’segga(the toughest meat in the lineup), kitfo(surprisingly bland beyond the cheese), with misfr and kik alicha for our veggie sides with flavor for days in their own right. No problems with the injera. Skip the espresso, it’s not a pleasurable awakening. Baklava was just okay. Future hit list: gored gored, dullet, engudm tibs, kocho.

Enat has a bit of an interior identity crisis with fancily set tables + sports on tv + a discoball stage area and its very dark during the day, but the food was on point. We ordered the sambussa as an app — two per order and well worth ordering. The shell was flakey and the insides were well spiced without being overwhelmed. For shared dishes we ordered: Lentils: Great side that has a sweeter side to it and is a nice compliment to the spice of Wot Lamb Wot: My fave. Disclaimer, it comes with a leg on bone so be prepared to deconstruct Chicken Wot: also comes with chicken leg on bone and a hard boiled egg Rib Eye tibs: probably the most friendly for ethiopian newbies, it’s mostly meat, onion and jalapano and isn’t very spicy. The serving sizes were good for the cost — I would have liked it a little better if the wot had more kick.

There’s little I can say about this place. Parking was not an issue. Service was particularly friendly and prompt. They even explained the food to us well enough for us to order different items than we normally have before. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We had to take some home and we couldn’t help but notice how much we had eaten yet still had to take a nice portion home. I was assisted with the beer selection and had a brief, but friendly conversation with our server. Overall it was an amazing experience and I’m glad it’s just down the street from me as I will be back!

Having the luxury of a vehicle, and a hankering for Ethiopian food, a friend and I decided to come here. As you can see from my past reviews, although I enjoy Ethiopian food, I would not consider myself an expert by any means. I usually enjoy the combo plates and that is fine. We found the place easily enough and when we arrived, there was no trouble with parking. However, as others have noted, there are many restrictions on parking with plentiful signs about where NOT to park or you will be towed. Please pay attention to these. We ordered what we thought was a meat/veggie combo, but when the bill came it was charged for two items(a meat, a veggie combo) instead of one. I am not sure if this was intentional or not, but the price was comparable to what we usually pay up in DC anyway, so we didn’t say anything. The food itself was great! Although a strange way to describe it, the items on the combo items all had a ‘fuller’ or more developed flavor than any other Ethiopian restaurant I’ve been to. When delivering the food to the table, the server explained what each one was. This, I felt, was a good touch. The injera tasted fresh as well as the food. The vegetarian combo alone(even without the meat items we ordered) were more than enough for two people, contrary to what the waitress said while we were placing our order. I would be certainly happy to return! I do recommend this to people who are willing to go outside of DC to look for great Ethiopian food. I plan to return!

The kitfo sandwich was really surprisingly good and satisfying. The kitfo comes premixed with the cheese and green veg, kept between a steak and cheese sized, toasted Ethiopian/Eritrean baguette. This baguette is less doughy than a French baguette. The crisp from the bread is key because it offers some contrasting texture to the mushy kitfo. That kitfo also has just the right amount of butter for flavor, not too much that you feel like you’re going to die. Add awaze and mitmita. A half sandwich is $ 8.95, full is $ 15.

One of my coworkers brought me here awhile back. We had a wonderful meal. Plenty of seating available. It can get packed in here and a bit loud, especially when a game is on. They have TVs all around the restaurant. The employees are super sweet but service was a bit on the slower side. The food is delicious. We ordered the Vegetarian Combination and it happily filled the two of us. Their Injera is well prepared. Everything was seasoned well and freshly made. We left happy.
