I used to go to this Giant because the produce was better than a lot of the other stores in the area but they always have solicitors outside asking for money. I don’t mind the Salvation Army bell ringer around Christmas time or the Girl Scouts in the spring, but they have someone asking for money every weekend! It gets really old and some of them are really persistent, practically following you into the store. It makes shopping here unpleasant.

I have been to this Giant several times due to its location in a large shopping center. It is a grocery store and pretty standard to what you’ve come to expect from a grocery store. I agree with the other Unilocalers. It doesn’t offer anything exceptional. However what I find interesting and worth calling out is availability of healthier(e.g. pre bottled smoothies, cheese, fruit) and specialty vegetarian(e.g. foe meat) items. I don’t think based on its location it gets a lot of traffic for these types of items which is great for me. If I make a quick trip to the grocery store it is usually for items for snacking or to make a vegetarian dish. If I want to do a larger shopping trip I go to Costco or the Giant in Kingstown. This Giant also has a fairly large international foods aisle. In a nutshell if you need to visit one of the stores in this shopping plaza and find yourself hunger or unprepared for dinner it is a good place grab a new item to cook with and go.

Going to the grocery store is always a chore but this Giant location is better than most. The store seems cleaner, less crowded, and better organized than the one on South Glebe. The checkout lines are also shorter and seem to move pretty fast. It’s longer drive from Arlington so not sure I’d always go here but will be back if I’m already in the area.

This is one of THEEWORST Giant’s I’ve ever been to. It’s dirty, and has a old, expired selection of food. Twice this week I have had to return meat that I purchased because it was spoiled, yet they sell it like nothing is wrong with it. I’ve had it with this location, and definitely will not be returning.

Save yourself and drive down the hill to the new Safeway! This place has gone downhill. I stopped here last week because I just needed a few items and was literally next door at Starbucks. I should have just turned around when I noticed tons of ants swarming the strawberries that were spilled onto the floor. Gross! At check out, the self checkout machine wasn’t working the manager had to come«fix it» twice, sort of defeats the purpose. Finally, this lady came over to bag my groceries, which I thought was very nice. It wasn’t until walking to the car that I realized she put my eggs in the middle of my recyclable bag with milk and cans. I got to my car and I had egg on everything. Please teach your baggers how to bag items that are breakable… To top it off, the manager had a negative attitude! I will never return!

VERYCLEAN, big selection, lots of registers open, I cant believe how much better the Giant food stores are NOT in my area. Apprently I live in the ghetto. These Giants are much cleaner and nicer. Worth the drive for sure.

I come here every week. It is clean and the staff is helpful. Too long of a wait, not enough baggers, and the manager doesn’t pay enough attention to the overall management of the real estate. The parking lot lights are always out. All considered, better than the alternatives.

I am especially impressed with the Deli at this Giant. They have great selection of meats, cheeses and prepared side dishes, in addition to a self service olive bar. The Deli is in the back of the store, so I just discovered it on my last visit! They bake their own bread and often you can get a fresh loaf of Italian bread straight from the oven! They always have a good variety of produce, fresh and unpackaged the way I prefer.

This has always been a very good Giant and was made even better with a renovation this year that made it brighter. .. although the reorganization still has customers confused about product location after several months(which actually makes for a more social experience as people ask each other and the employees where things are, with even the friendly, knowledgeable staff exhibiting a bit of confusion from time to time). I’m not as much a fan of the produce at this Giant as I am at most others, but the baked goods and meat are just as good. The place in general is a little older and beaten down tham many Giants in the area, but the employees do a great job keeping it nice and clean.
