Im not the type to write a negative review, but this is ABSOLUTELY necessary. I frequent this store on average once sometimes twice week, easily spending $30-90 every time. That was until this week. Organization of the store went all to hell.
Somebody in management thought it made sense to eliminate organizing clothes by SIZE. Instead, the clothes are now separated by COLOR. Yes, color. Consumers will need to pick thorough 50 pair of black pants just to find my size. Can't even imagine the time it will take to go through 75 white shirts to find not only my size, but one that I'd like.
Not the best use of a consumer's time, even if the prices are great.
Please reconsider this new organization style. It looks pretty, but Goodwill is CERTAIN to miss out on money. I only spent 20 dollars this week and didn't make a second visit at all. I will have to shop the competitors if this is how garments will be displayed. Please reconsider!

I went to the grand opening of this Goodwill in 2015. It was packed of course, but I bought a ton of pristine-quality clothing. I’ve returned many times since then and I almost always find 2 – 3 items to buy. Though I’m more in the market for summer tops now and I see many of the same blouses when I go here lately. The children’s selection is laughably small though, which seems to be pretty common for local Goodwills. The staff is usually pretty pleasant with me. I’ll continue shopping here. I just wish they had promotions more often(i.e. additional 25−50% sales on specific items or the whole store).

I enjoy thrift stores, and this is a new Goodwill location in Alexandria. It is smaller than other locations, so the selection is limited. But they do well with the space they have, and it’s clean and organized. The drop-off spot is confusing; I had three loads after a recent closet and garage cleanout, and twice someone was parked at the loading dock the wrong way. The staff was friendly, and this location is comparable to other locations in Alexandria and Arlington in selection, even with its smaller sales floor size.

I went to this Goodwill location on 2÷24÷16. It is a new location and, as a result I think their inventory is a little low. However the inventory they do have is good quality(in terms of Goodwill standards). The merchandise is organized and although I usually go into a Goodwill not knowing what I will walk out with their organization helped me start my search. It is also nice that this location has dressing rooms and well-kept public restrooms. The only thing I can fault this location with is on directions on where to drop off donations. I had to drive around the building before I found their drop off site. I also think entering the location after you make a donation(or coming in from the back) is very confusing. In a nutshell I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this location but for speed and convenience I might choose to drop off at another location.

Clean, well organized, decent selection. I will definitely stop in again when in the area.

I shopped here two Fridays ago; I had the day off work due to the impending blizzard. As a result, there were very few people shopping that day! I was in the mood to change up my wardrobe a bit, and left with numerous shirts(work and casual), and at least two pairs of jeans! I’m really delighted to have a Goodwill close by. This will definitely be my first stop when I’m on the lookout for new clothes :)

This new Goodwill is conveniently located on Richmond Highway and is still quite clean inside and outside. It used to be a Gold’s Gym, and the plentiful parking available shows it. Despite this being a popular dropoff location for donations, there isn’t as much of a selection here as other area thrift stores. The exception to this is glassware, and if you are looking for a replacement wine glass or draft beer glass, you will find what you’re looking for here. As far as media items go, there are tons of books(though pricey) and relatively few DVDs and games(prices vary, some are decent). There is an area towards the back with small bags of related items for sale, which could be pretty cool if one of them happens to have a theme that resonates with you. Clothing selection is plentiful though many items are damaged beyond repair(found a pair of jeans with a huge gaping hole in the crotch, who would donate such a thing, and who would think to put that on the shelf rather than in the trash?). While I have to cut them some slack for being a new location, the check-out process was slow and painful. Took forever to get up to the front and get everything rung up(they ring up everything as an «open» item rather than having it set up for the actual items they’re selling, someone should have thought this through a bit more), and then the cashier gave us false information about our coupon’s eligibility which would have altered how we checked out. Thankfully we figured out a workable alternative, though the last place you should have to deal with drama is a thrift store checkout. All in all, this place is worth a try, though I’m willing to bet that you probably won’t deem it worthy of a return trip. Overall: 3.0 stars — — — – Pros: — Very clean inside and out. — Availability of coupons and rewards system is pretty cool. — Lots of parking. — Convenient location. Cons: — Selections of several item categories are relatively poor. — Staff members are clueless how to use their own point-of-sale systems, and this causes slowdowns at the check-out. — Many items(especially media) are overpriced.

I did not purchase any item at this location because I was looking for something specific. The rating is based on my brief visit at this Goodwill. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, there is a line. When I visited yesterday, there were only two cash registers working. Items are very organized and new items(nick knacks) were placed out for sale. Unfortunately, though, a lot of the furniture items were very dirty. I understand that those are donated goods, but they really should be wiped down when needed. Getting out of the parking lot is a major pain with ongoing traffic. The lights never seem to be able to sync properly to give enough time to exit. I haven’t used the donation center or interacted with the workers to give informative report in those areas. I would definitely visit again in the future.

If you want to drop off a donation, this place is conveniently located near lots of other stores while running errands. If you want to actually shop at this place, you shouldn’t be in a hurry. The store is clean and mostly organized. There are dressing rooms. The best finds were the vases loaded with jewelry items. I found a few items that I would have purchased if there hadn’t been such a long line. There were four employees by the front registers. One was directing traffic, which was a waste. If there had been four open registers instead of two, the line would have moved. I didn’t have the will to make a purchase.
