Well run small business! Quick turnaround time and great prices! What more could you ask for. Felt welcomed and explained everything about what he was doing and how to prevent the problem in the future. Definitely better dropping my laptop off here then a big named place. Will definitely be using again.

The Lapfix team was very friendly and knowledgeable. My computer had some issues and I needed an estimate for repair to send in for my extended warranty. They were accommodating to my schedule and communicated well with me during the process. I would definitely come back here for future computer service.

Exemplary service! I had a pretty much dead laptop. I was gonna get rid of it, but I brought it to them and they diagnosed it for free and repaired it for me for a reasonable price. Their service was fast and trustworthy. Absolutely worth the money!

Great Service! They repaired my desktop (faulty hard drive), and upgraded some old components. The new ssd drive and video card makes my computer perform much faster than it did before. I got my desktop back and running in no time!!!

I have not had a better customer service experience in the past several years than I had at this small business, it was quite refreshing. I had trouble with my Mac and took it in for repair. Outstanding communication throughout process by Kareem enabled me to make decisions about the extent of the work. In fact, he quoted me the repair, then upgraded the hard drive when I was unavailable to verify, then discounted to the original quote. What’s up with that? I was so impressed I left a tip. Anyway, my advice to others is give this business a try with your computer repairs; my experience was outstanding.

Absolute worst laptop repair shop! I also doubt the validity of the other reviews, most of which are 5 stars. Long story short, in my previous review of this place I explained that they failed to properly repair my DC jack. Well it turns out they didn’t just fail to repair it, they actually caused extensive damage because they used a glue adhesive throughout. So glad I had another company assess the damage. Lapfix was unapologetic and actually tried to cover up the issues. Buyer BEWARE! They will see me in court. What a headache over a simple repair.

I have a laptop that suddenly up and died on me a couple months ago. First I bought a new AC adapter but that didn’t help. Then I took it to a place I’ve been before where the service has been quick and reasonably priced. First they replaced the adapter input, which didn’t fix the problem either. So he said he would try a different part in caser the first one was bad. Apparently that didn’t work either. Then more weeks followed where I really don’t think anything at all happened, either because he didn’t know what to do or was afraid to buy expensive parts — which by the way I authorized. Eventually I went in and took the computer back. To his credit, he only charged me $ 10 because that was the cost of the part he replaced.
Then I end up at Lapfix, Inc. You have to go upstairs in the corner of Foxchase shopping center and there is no sign per se on the door from the sidewalk, but it is above the florist. The very polite receptionist explained that I would have an estimate within 24 hours. They did call within 24 hours and said he would try to replace a part on the motherboard and that would be $ 225. If that didn’t work, he would have to replace the motherboard itself and that would be about $ 450 for the part alone. But if it was the motherboard I would only pay the $ 450 plus labor, not the $ 225 for the attempted cheaper fix. It’s a good laptop so I told them to go ahead.
I picked up the laptop today and it was repaired by replacing some chip on the motherboard, so only $ 225. Kareem was very polite, informed me about what had happened, and also told me how to keep from putting stress on the hinge, as opposed to trying to sell me a new hinge. Overall, the repair was prompt and what I consider very reasonable, seeing as how he could have charged me for a whole new motherboard and how would I know?
So I am a very happy customer and I would not hesitate to go back or recommend them to anyone who has a computer problem.

Don’t waste time going elsewhere. Let Lapfix diagnose, repair, and exceed your expectations! The service is phenomenal. Been there 3 times for repair of different issues with laptop: DC jack, hard drive, blue screen/​software issues (all things that require a long time to troubleshoot and repair if doing yourself). They fixed each issue in an affordable, quick, and courteous way. I appreciate their expertise!

I had a Macbook Pro and my hard drive died without warning. Apple told me that they couldn’t get information on it, so I thought I had lost everything. I live near LapFix and noticed that they also do Apple products, so I took them the dead hard drive with the hope that even a tiny bit could be recovered. Very quickly, I got a response saying that they could get EVERYTHING off of it! They transferred everything to my external hard drive and had me verify everything prior to paying so that I was satisfied. It was also quite affordable. I’m planning on taking my other old computers there to have the information pulled off. They also recycle old computers. Overall, very positive experience and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Fast, affordable, and friendly service. They won’t try to up-​sell you on anything – it’s almost like they genuinely like fixing things! I also appreciate that they guarantee repairs for a period of time. Highly recommend.

Lapfix came to the rescue when a major big box store (BB) stated it was impossible to repair my computer. They went above and beyond to repair my laptop and in just 2 days. I will use and highly recommend Lapfix to anyone.

Outstanding service! I had some upgrades that I wanted to do on my laptop and I needed to get it done in a very timely fashion because I was going on a trip. My computer was completed the next day, as promised. The service was great, the advice was great, and the price was very reasonable. I will go back next time I have a computer issue.

Took my laptop here to get fixed twice, and the problem still is not fixed.
Also a big lack of communication, if you say you are going to call someone back the next day do it.

They did a wonderful job fixing my external hard drive. I was kept informed of the repair process every step of the way and they charged a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them!

After having problems with my computer, and spending days trying to repair it myself, I decided to look for a local repair shop. I was very fortunate to have stumbled upon these guys, they were very professional and had no nonsense fees. They called me in advance before they performed anything on my computer. Highly recommend these guys, and I will definitely go back again for anything I can’t solve!

I am so glad I found Lapfix! After searching several places across DC and Virginia that wanted to charge high fees just to diagnose the laptop problem, I found this place which came highly recommended by another reputable computer repair service.

These guys are fabulous on two fronts! First they are honest. They won’t charge you for advice or estimates and won’t do any work that is not in your best interest. Secondly they are super reasonable. They fix my Samsung S3 twice. The first time they checked things out and said all I needed was a $ 5 USB cable. That worked out fine for a few weeks until the mini USB started acting up. A quick fix to the pins and I was back in business good as new. I’m a fan!
