With a large freestanding facility surrounding by huge Palm trees and sandy beaches. Great for groups, families and dates. Large outdoor tropical deck open whenever mother nature cooperates. Tiki Bar is open late night and the rum is always flowing. Plenty of free parking and always a great time.
History
Established in 1984.
We started in 1984 as Easport Raw Bar, just a few blocks
down Duke Street as a New England Seafood .
In 1995 we decided that it was time for a change and we felt
it was imperitative that we keep a seafood slant to the
menu. After a year of research, exhaustive talks, roadtrips
and countless late night sessions we came upon a concept
that we felt right… Caribbean. As a Concept it was a perfect
fit we felt we could focus on the foods of the region as
well as keep the fresh seafood that we were famous for.
while our menu is not truely athentic to any one caribbean
island, we feel the influence from many regions and cultures
Jerk Spices, Chutney, salsas ect.
We converted Easport to Mango Mike’s in 1996 and that year
we won the Prestigious «Best New Restaurant Award» by the
restaurant Association of Metro Washington. In 1999 we took
Possession of Bombay Bicycle Club and after 14 months of
extensive renovation we moved from the «little Mangos» to its
current location at 4580 Duke.
