Matthew’s Nationwide Moving

All around, very happy with this mover who moved me from Richmond, VA to Pittsburgh. Very courteous and pleasant folks to work with during my least favorite thing in the world… MOVING! I had a weird situation where my cat (who hates moving more than me) wound up stuffing himself behind my kitchen cabinets. That made day two of the move terribly stressful– and delayed my meeting the moving team by two hours. While I was charged a fee for the schedule disruption, it was quite reasonable and fair. Matt and his employees were a really pleasant group, very careful and competent. Did I mention the three-​floor walk-​up? Not one complaint from the team. Highly recommended.

They moved my 1,000sq ft apartment across town in about 3 hours.
They were clean, super efficient, polite, and most importantly they actually know how to move furniture.
Ill never do my own moving again, I highly recommend these guys and will use them again.

I was having a really difficult time finding the review I posted months ago on Thumbtack, so I am going to repost here on Unilocal.I really want to promote one of the best movers I’ve ever used; Matthew’s Nationwide Moving.
My wife and I needed to do an emergency move out within 24 – 48 hours out of NE Washington DC back in May 2015. I searched on Thumbtack as I do business there and just like the last reviewer. I reviewed several moving companies and almost made the mistake of going with a guy that was pushy and changed his price 2 – 3 times on me-​just to force a business diecision. While I was definitely up against the clock, I was not willing to risk moving with an uninsured company (been there, done that — NEVER again!).
I found Matt and his great crew on Thumbtack. I told him that I needed an early morning arrival to start the move by 6:30 am. This guy Matt — let me say is simply a great guy and a God-​send (don’t worry, I’m not to go all holy ghost here). They arrived earlier than the start time just after 6 am. They started work right away and pushed straight through until about 3 pm or so. They only took one break to eat in between leaving our old place and going to the storage unit.
Matt and his team of guys are very professional, extremely punctual and super reliable. Most importantly, he took such care in not only setting up for the move, but packing and transporting everything to our storage unit across town. I was super impressed with his (their) exceptional customer service and packing of the storage unit.
Let me not forget the price, OMG — so so reasonable. I actually had money left to offer a nice tip for the guys. Now that I need to have someone to move our things into our new place, without hesitation, I am calling Matt and his team (I hope they are available). Please patronize this company as they are the absolute best at what they do. I will always refer «Matthew’s Nationwide Moving».

Best moving experience, hands down!!!
Called, set up an appointment in mid-​August for a late August day. Left a voicemail and Matthew called me back the next day! Came when they promised. Movers were professional, fast and not creepy at all!
They bring floor, stair runners & door padding to your home so that you feel your personal valuables are protected and safe!
With that, I am very adamant about professional and customer service as we don’t get that enough in 2015 but these men were awesome! I truly would only recommend these guys for trusted moving.
Last but not least, Matthew answered all our questions and our quote was what we paid! Shout out to Robert! :)

Matthew helped us ship some furniture to my stepson from Dallas to Annapolis and was fantastic! From his professional demeanor and attention to detail when moving our things to his outstanding communication skills and respect and consideration towards us until the end, we were super impressed! He wrapped everything carefully and he and his coworker moved all of it with an extreme amount of care. White glove service until the end and very reasonable in his pricing! Five stars — highly recommended!

Amazing attention to details… all furniture wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap when appropriate. These guys busted their tails and hustled — charge by the person per hour which makes it easy to calculate costs ahead of time. No hidden charges or add on fees. Best moving experience I’ve ever had!

Through every step of the process Matt was fantastic. He was responsive to every question and moved us out without any troubles. Most movers will try to nickel and dime you or find some way to add a fee — Matt gave us a fair rate and worked his hardest to get the whole process over quickly. I can’t recommend him more enthusiastically– truly great to work with.

Matt and his crew were fast and pleasant. (They were also about $ 700 less than our next-​lowest moving estimate.)
They got our stuff from a walkup apartment in Northern Virginia to a house in Florida with no trouble at all. And Matt was even very patient when I called and emailed about 400 times with pre-​move jitters.

Matt is a first class professional. My family and I had to move cross country from Virginia to California and Matt made sure our stuff got there safely and securely. Despite getting a flat tire on the way to California, Matt and his team still showed up to our new home in California on time on the date that he pledged!!! On top of actually moving our household items, Matt was also able to disassemble and reassemble our furniture items. This was impressive and great customer service value as some of our beds were IKEA and a really laborious process to take apart and put back together. Matt is very organized, personable, punctual, and dependable. Another impressive aspect to Matt is that the price that he quotes to you will be the price you can count on paying. I have heard horror stories about people using moving companies who conveniently increase their quoted price upon delivery for a number of reasons. That was never a concern or issue with Matt’s company. If you ever are in need of a professional moving company, either local or to another coast, you can rest assured that Matt will personally see to it that everything is taken care of!!!

These guys are AWESOME! Seriously. They really cared about my belongings. They covered my hardwood floors, were extremely careful with my antique furniture and were surprisingly polite. They moved me from Nashville, TN to Alexandria, VA. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good mover.

We found Matt through Thumbtack, he responded quickly to my request and came by a few days later to give a moving quote. He was polite and offered us a price for both the move and also the cost of packing up the whole house, including supplies. Moving day came, from Richmond Va to Newark, De. Matt and his team were on time, worked hard and were very professional and so very courteous. In addition, they took great care with all our large (very large) pieces of furniture and all our antiques.
The move took a bit longer than anticipated, due to the great quantity of items we had, but still all the guys stayed cheerful, polite and helpful. This is a group of men who care about your items and are strong, intelligent and articulate. Not to mention very fair priced. If they are available in your area, do not hesitate to call them, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Matt, Malcolm and Mike (I forgot the other gentleman’s name) for taking some of the stress out of our move!

I purchased the contents of an office and needed to have the items out by the next day. I thought I would be able to handle the move by my self but time was running out and I had to get help right away. In my research I found Matthew’s Moving on Craigs List and called them at 10:30 in the evening. They agreed to meet me at the office location the next day at 7:00 am and when I arrived at 6:30 am, they were already there. The crew was polite, professional and ready to work and very careful. They didn’t scratch a thing and unloaded my purchase neatly in my storage unit and I was home by 9:00 am. I was so impressed when they handed me the bill for 150.00 that I tipped the crew an extra 100 dollars. I saved my back, my time and damage to my car and have used them several times since then. Thank you Matthew’s Moving you guys are the best!!!
