Mint Condition

I came here today during Old Town’s Sidewalk Sale, and I left a happy customer! The entryway is a tad squished, but you can choose to walk to your right, left, or go upstairs. I went to my right, and the girls working there were upbeat and greeted me with a friendly «hello!» I liked how the store was organized, with dresses in one area, shirts and bottoms in another, and the sale section upstairs. Jewelry was spread throughout the store. I think they had a good size distribution no matter what you were looking at.
The pricing sort of amazed me — I saw Kate Spade and other similarly-​branded items for under $ 100. I ended up getting an awesome jeweled necklace at a fantastic price. I liked how I didn’t feel overwhelmed by other people being in the same space at the same time as me; a positive nod to store design. On the other hand, I wish the tops were on a lower rack because it was hard to see them and pick them off. I am more apt to buy a shirt from a consignment store than shorts/​skirts. It’s much easier to find a nicely fitting top than a bottom in my opinion.
Bottom line: this store has a great selection of clothes and accessories at unbelievable prices! Plus, walking down King Street, you will see a ton of people with Mint Condition bags.

The clothes are nicely displayed but honestly there wasn’t that much selection in each size category. And what was there wasn’t always in the greatest shape. The clothes were also surprisingly pricey — I’m not going to spend big $$ on used clothing when I can buy new for the same price at Macy’s or H&M. I’ve had better luck finding bargains at Unique for much MUCH less money. Unique also has name brands like Talbots, Chico, etc. and an infinitely better selection. Overall I was disappointed but hey, Old Town is always nice to visit!

Best consignment store in the area! I have been here multiple times and always find something there. They carry mid to high end designers (including D&G, Tory Burch, Equipment, Rag & Bone) and clearly pay attention to what items are actually cute (unlike another popular consignment store in Old Town). I recently walked out with gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer gold wedges at an amazing discount. Got lots of compliments.
Customer service is also excellent. I try to come back regularly because of the phenomenal selection.

Very friendly and well organized. So happy I found this place today! Bought a pair of really nice leather black boots for under 50 bucks. They look new but feel perfectly worn in. Santos brand, very soft beautiful leather! I will be going back in November!
I would of given 5 stars if they would of had more of selection of items. The sizes are mostly small, but you can luck out with med and larges at times.

Love this store! Great selection, service and prices. A perfect Old Town boutique! Worth traveling to for tourists and those not living in Northern Virginia.
For consigners, walk in Wednesdays are wonderful and they cut checks in person after an item sells. Super fair and transparent. Wish other consignment stores in Old Town did this.

While I did not buy anything here I really liked their offerings (much better than Designer Divas). Everything was cuter and organized much better. They had an entire rack of designer jeans and cute dresses and coats. The dressing rooms were bright and fun and things seemed fresh. I would absolutely return here another time to see what updated items they will have.

I finally stopped by Mint Condition today after I dropped off consignments at Current Boutique (another consignment store closeby). I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
I turned the corner and saw Gucci, Tory Burch, and other kewl brands. Lots of really cute stuff was in stock today. They don’t have tons of stuff, but what they have is definitely quality. True to its name, everything is in amazing condition. I mean, new condition, really, even without tags. So many cute fan-​say dresses and no where to wear them. Grr. So, I searched for more casual items.
I ended up getting a blouse, a dress, a pair of earrings, a cute little ring, and an awesome bracelet for under $ 90. Unreal.
Also, unreal — I’m Unilocal Elite and I didn’t check in to redeem my 10% off one item offer. WTH. Maybe I’ll go back soon and use it, cuz I will definitely be back.

This would have to be one of my favorite small boutiques in old town it’s not like your ordinary consignment store their pretty organized and have a large variety of things and carry well known fashion brands if you take your time to look and are the type of person with patience to you’ll definitely come across amazing finds !

I bought a pair of nearly-​new J. Brand jeans and a snazzy J. Crew jacket. Total: about $ 40.
Note to store staff: check the pockets before putting things up, and periodically.
There was a gum wrapper in the jacket pocket.

Love love love this place. Not your normal consignment shop. Very organized and a lot of high end clothes in amazing shape! Just scored a DVF wrap dress in *mint* condition! Come here often to catch all the new additions.
Brands they carry: Lily Pulitzer, Missoni, DVF, Marc Jacobs, Celine, BCBG, Roberto Rodriguez, J Crew, Tory Birch, Coach, Milly, etc.

Sara was very helpful, and they have tons of really nice things… But I. Am a large girl so unfortunately I couldn’t find the size I needed… But I would for sure shop here if I. Was just a little smaller

I visited Mint Condition in search of a dress to wear to an upcoming wedding.
It must be that I went when the stock was not great, but I wasn’t impressed with what I found at Mint Condition when I visited this past weekend. There were certainly some good finds tucked away, including J Brand Jeans, Diane Von Fustenberg, and Chanel, but many of the dresses I looked at seemed dated. Several pairs of shoes I picked up in the sale area upstairs had soles that were incredibly worn, which in my mind would warrant a steep discount. A couple sweaters I looked at also had some fraying in the arm area, which is certainly something to avoid when shopping.
The sales girls (they looked like they were in their teens) greeted everyone pleasantly but were involved in their conversation behind the register.
I don’t know if I’d return since the stock was so disappointing this time around. I’m sure the advertising out front of all the brands they carried got my hopes up, but it doesn’t matter what brand something is if the items are in mediocre condition.

Great shop with fabulous designs. Picked up a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and other designer deals. Priced fair. Make sure to check out the sales upstairs. The girls are nice and helpful. The store is clean and bright.

Of the consignment shops I’ve visited in downtown Alexandria (three), I think this would be my favorite. The shop itself is very large, and is very well organized (by colors and by size).
I didn’t end up purchasing anything on my most recent trip, but I thought they had a really great selection of stuff. I found a beautiful $ 10 (!!!) yellow silk beaded dress by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti in the clearance section, but unfortunately it was just way too small.
I found most of the prices to be very reasonable, taking into account that clothing has been worn before, but they are still designer brand. However, one thing I noted when looking closely at the tags is that there are two prices on the tags. One is the normal price, and another is the price for about 3 months after the piece of clothing was brought in for about half off. So, if something has been there quite awhile, the price drops. I’m not sure if this was on all the clothing, but I saw it on several pieces — definitely a great way to find a steal!

I really wanted to like this store.
The owner though did not say a word to me as I walked in and it made me feel uncomfortable and discriminated against
Also there was a sale that I over heard telling another customer that walked after me that there was a sale of 10 off for scarfs
I found a nice scarf and SHE DID NOT GIVE ME THE DISCOUNT. No problem I won’t be returning.

My bestie and I had plans to go to NYC for the day to do some consignment/​vintage shopping, but decided to keep it local. Let me tell you, I am SO glad we did. This beautiful laid out store had everything a consignment shopper is looking for: well kept designer items at a reasonable price. It is clean, orderly and carry an array of the latest items and best brands. Definitely a stop on my next trip to DC

This shop is one of the best in Alexandria. Mint’s selection is awesome and the prices are reasonable. The selection spans Gucci Loafers to Louboutin thigh high boots. The clothing Section is plentiful and the bags… oh the bags. I walked out with a new condition Louis Vuitton Epi Wallet for 98 bucks and a rare calf hair Luella Bag. Over all it was an amazing shopping experience.

I got an email about their flash sale today and stopped by, and when the girl at the register finished her lengthy conversation with her coworker and got around to ringing me up, she told me the sale didn’t apply to me because I hadn’t «mentioned it» when she was bagging my items, despite the fact that 1) nowhere in the email did it say you had to and 2) I had it on my phone and could have showed her that I’m on their mailing list. She also couldn’t void the sale and rering it.
I unsubscribed from their mailing list because of it, and don’t really see the point in shopping there anymore. The quality of their stock has gone way down since they opened — I found a pair of shorts with a stain on the front and a sweater with a big hole in the back on this trip alone — and their jewelry, which used to be good stuff, is now cheap, Lulu’s quality pieces.

This was one of the cleanest, most well-​organized consignment experiences I’ve ever had! The store is really nicely arranged and just feels luxurious to be in. While browsing, I came across quite a few DvF and Milly dresses, and other high-​end stuff; and there was also a decent selection of jeans; but I found my true loves in the upstairs room, where the sale merchandise and shoes are kept. I nearly wept on finding a pair of Tod’s loafers that were just a hair too big, but in the end I got a very flattering and cutely beaded Cynthia Rowley tank for $ 8, so I can’t complain.
I found the prices here amazingly affordable, and the store was easy and pleasant to browse. They had high-​end stuff as well as lots of mid-​range stuff a la J. Crew, so nearly anyone can find something!

Not sure how I feel about this consignment shop. It’s tiny but they can pack a lot in there. The lower floor consists of clothing items: tops, bottoms, skirts, etc. The upper floor has more of my favorite things like shoes and handbags.
They have an awesome selection of designers. I saw some Manolos, Prada, and may have seen a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. They had a lot of Coach handbags which are eh, but what makes me feel like I’m unsure about this place is how they price their items. I mean, I don’t feel like I need to spend $ 90 on a medium used Coach bag when you can get a new one for just about the same price at the outlet. I know Manolos can run anywhere from $ 500 to thousands of dollars but for used Manolos I don’t think I would spend $ 200 or $ 300 or whatever they were asking.
So while they do have great designers, I think they price the items somewhat on the higher side compared to other consignment shops I’ve visited.
