2.5 stars… I am from out of town and 4 of us ordered a large mushroom pizza for pick-up. We were staying at the hotel less than a block away. The hotel had a flyer for the place. There was a coupon for 1 large item pizza for $ 9.99. When we presented the coupon the manager/owner claimed that the coupon was expired and that it was the hotels fault for still having those coupons. We had ordered a side of ranch dressing with the pizza and I asked him if he could throw it in free seeing how the coupon was no good and he said sure. I realized he still charged me for the ranch when I checked the receipt after we had already left. The pizza is 2.75 stars and honesty is 0.

2 stars as I find the other reviews to be pretty much on target. I had a $ 30 Groupon to this place and called for delivery last night. Ordered about $ 43 of food. I think I spoke to the owner on the phone and he was real nice but didn’t speak english real well. Our delivery order was screwed up and we got two items that we didn’t even order and they forgot two items so not a good impression. The best thing they had to offer was their gyro. The fried shrimp we didn’t order tasted much like bar food. The pizza was pretty much meh at best. I really didn’t enjoy this place and won’t give them any future business. My opinion is this place won’t be around very long and it should be avoided.

I don’t know what everyone is so upset about but I’ve gotten pizza from here twice and it’s been just fine. It’s obviously not a fancy pizza place, so I didn’t expect much, but it was dough, sauce, crust, cheese, and not too greasy and nice and hot. It hit the spot. It looks like some people had some bad experiences but I wanted to testify that I enjoy their pizza.

I was staying at the Sheraton & needed a late night snack after a long day of work. The place had flies all over. Pizza is not very good. Definitely skip this place unless you are just really desperate to eat something.

They say they have«deep dish» pizza and it is the farthest thing from it. Its more just«thick crust» pizza(which doesn’t have a good flavor). The pizza wasn’t terrible but not good enough to go back.

Not sure how anyone could rate this place past 1 star? I wish I could give it a negative 4 stars. I walked in looking for a decent lunch deal, then I saw the prices. The guy behind the counter(maybe a manager) who saw my shock pressured me into buying something from the menu. Basically promising me the best pizza I ever tasted. Ended up getting an overpriced frozen grocery pizza. On top of that, he was getting his kitchen sprayed by exterminator while I was waiting. Too bad he had me pay first.

I wish I could leave negative stars. I’m here from out of town and my coworkers wanted to order food for delivery. I used the menu online to call the restaurant and order a pizza and a salad. I ordered the salad with no tomatoes or black olives(the only thing other than cheese, chicken, and lettuce listed in the salad online). The food came and we started eating. I opened my salad to find everything I asked to be left off was on it. In addition, it had onions on it, of which I’m VERY allergic. I called back and told him I asked for no Tom or BO and that it had onions. His response was«I put onions on every salad with chicken.» I told him if that’s true then he should have the proper people fix the website in case of allergies and things of that nature. He said sorry and that he’d have the driver drop of the correct salad. An hour passes with no salad. I call and he says his driver is busy and has two other deliveries(I’m four blocks down and it wouldn’t take but a second to drop it here and go to the others). He said he’d have it here In a couple minutes. Another hour goes by, and no salad. Then I called again… This continued on for four hours and five phone calls… Finally I just wanted a refund. He says one minute, and hung up. I got a knock at the door. It’s my salad with onions, Tom, and BO’s. I called the manager again and told him this was ridiculous. He argued with me and said I hadn’t ordered it without all of those items, despite all the conversations we had already had by that point. He then told me he wouldn’t send the driver back, and that if I wanted my salad fixed I’d have to walk and come and get it myself. I will NEVER make this mistake again… Dont waste your time/money. The pizza is ok for the price, but the customer service definitely cancels out the advantage of saving a buck.

i don’t think this place is actively evil… but the prices and quality of food are not good… how could one put so much time and money into opening a business and then endanger it with quality and pricing ? since they are close to a large hotel, they might be able to limp along… but to get the everyday business crowd and locals, they are definitely going to have to make some big changes… will not be back… too many good places in old town to settle.

So my boyfriend and I were looking for a cheap place to grab some food a few nights ago and I remembered seeing Pizza Pan listed online the night before. When I looked on their website the night before, the prices seemed very reasonable. However, when we saw the menus posted inside of Pizza Pan, we were astounded by the prices. $ 33 for a large specialty pizza! and $ 20 for a small specialty pizza! However, if you order a cheese pizza, a small pizza would cost about $ 8. So my boyfriend ordered a small cheese pizza with one topping(each topping is $ 2) and I got an order of cajun fries. I asked what seemed to be the manager how the fries were, and he rudely responded, «Its cajun and fries.» The girl standing next to him, who also worked there, responded that the fries were good. So I ended up getting them. So my boyfriend and I got our food and left. I decided to try one of the fries as I was walking out. That was a bad idea. I opened the box and the fries were covered in what looked like a whole bottle of cajun seasoning. As soon as I ate one of the fries, I didn’t stop literally choking on the seasoning for about a good minute straight. My boyfriend took a bite out of his pizza and was immediately disgusted by it. The sauce was running, the pepperoni wasn’t of good quality, and the overall pizza was soggy. He said every other pizza place(such as Pizza Hut and Dominoes) was better than this place. He ended up throwing the pizza out(which he has never done in his life) and I ended up throwing out the fries. To conclude, the food here is horrible and the service is just as bad. Not to mention that they don’t have a/c inside. Only a small temporary unit facing one of the tables.

Our pizza tasted like a DiGiorno from the freezer section except not cooked completely. The middle was doughy but edible. We won’t be going back. We ordered online and when we strolled in to pick up one pizza, the manager/lone employee said, «I haven’t even looked at the online orders yet!» Huh? Who says that(even if it’s true)? I think they deal with lots of different online ordering systems and those orders are a lower priority than in-person or phone orders. It didn’t take long for him to make us the pizza, but the attitude left us with a bad impression.

My rating for this rate went from 3 stars to now 1. I ordered the grill chicken salad today for work and guess what i found… there was a curly hair /fur ball on the peppercini pepper. You can tell for sure it was dropped on the floor and put on the salad. I was so sick and got a full refund. Never again!

Pretty decent pizza, 30 bucks was a but high for a medium a small order of wings and two soda. The wings were hot but the breading became all mushy once the hot sauce hit them. I’d pass on those next time but would grab another pizza

We’ve ordered pizza and breadsticks a couple times from Pizza Pan in our search for a decent pizza from a non-chain pizzeria. It’s tasty enough, though definitely not the best I’ve ever had. It’s cheap enough(Mom’s Night Off Special — $ 9.99 for ½ sheet w/1 topping and a 2L of pop) and plentiful. I like that I can order online too. We’ll probably keep ordering from there until something else comes along.

They had a sign in the window that«Yes! We sell slices!». Thinking that I’d slip in and out quickly… I went inside and ordered. Based upon how long it took, I am fairly certain that they cooked a whole pizza to make my slice — which is nice in a way but defeats the whole purpose. The guy behind the counter had trouble ringing things up and making change. Meanwhile, someone who seemed to be the owner lounged outside. If only it had been tasty but — alas — it was undercooked and way too doughy.

C’mon people. Anybody who rates this place above a 1 star is out of their mind. I have been here twice(I live one block away) and I will never go back again. The first time, a friend and I ordered the wings. We both agreed they were some of the worst wings we had ever had. Terrible sauce, over cooked, tough, and very little actual meat. Nevertheless, I decided to give it another shot and go back for a pizza. What a mistake that was. I wouldn’t even call it a pizza, though I’m not sure what to call it. All I do know, is that you can get better pizza from Italian Store, Pizzeria Paradaiso, Vince and Dominics, Broadway Pizza, Ledos, Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc, etc, etc.

I love pizza and like to think I know decent pizza when I taste it. This was just average pizza. In fact, this was just a last resort for pizza on a late Sunday night. It’s quite a strange setup… Pizza and ribs are all buy one get two free. Not too bad a deal, but a small pizza is $ 10.99, then u end up paying $ 2 per topping on all of the three pizza’s. So, be careful, it adds up quickly. The sauce is tasty, but crust, topping and cheese no different than what you’d get at pizza hut. Unless you need a lot of food for less money, i’d recommend keep looking for a tastier pizza pie.

Pretty much an unheard deal when you order any size pizza or ribs for takeout, you get 2 more free! My wife and I stopped by here on the way back to our hotel from the Braddock Road Metro station. The actual restaurant is pretty small with only a few high tables for the dine-in guests. A small cheese pizza costs about $ 7 with each additional topping for an extra $ 1.99. A medium cheese will set you back about $ 12 and so on. The taste of the pies were excellent where you can distinctly taste the real mozzarella. However, the establishment is cheap on the toppings where it’s sparsely layered on your pizza. One thing I found particularly annoying and inconsiderate was that the workers will go outside directly in front of the shop to take a quick smoking break. The cigarette smoke easily slips through the cracks of the door(even when closed). Another inconvenience was the fact that though stickers are posted stating that the restaurant accepts American Express and Discover, the clerk stated that they only accept Visa or Mastercard without really explaining why.

Pizza Pan won me over today. I put my neck on the line and organized an office-wide lunch party that unintentionally blew up a bit bigger than I intended(via my enthusiastic boss). Thankfully Pizza Pan hit a home-run with my whole office. I ordered us three specialty pizzas and three slabs of ribs. I was able to easily place the order online, it barely took two minutes. The food was ready EXACTLY when I asked for it, so there was no waiting and it was all piping hot. The pizza was sliced into thin slivers, allowing even light eaters to try a couple different slices. The total cost of my order was just under $ 60. We had enough food for about15−20 people. As for the food: We had the Veggi, Pepperoni Supreme, and BBQ Chicken pizzas. The BBQ Chicken pizza was the clear favorite(i think due to good sauce, big chicken, and tons of bacon), but I’d order all three again. The pepperoni was pretty greasy, but the other pizzas were not too bad. The crust, sauce, and cheese were all pretty middle of the road… I think acceptable by most people’s standards, although way above average considering the cost. The ribs were decent, also considering their cost. They’re boiled and not very meaty, but the sauces were good and they were quite tender. Sure, they weren’t epic BBQ, but they were enjoyable and getting 3 slabs for about $ 26 made them quite possibly the best BBQ deal I’ve ever had. I was a bit worried that they’d suck and not be worth eating. They were definitely worth eating, and I’ll be sure to order them again.(When choosing between«meh» ribs or a typical office platter sandwich, I’ll take the ribs anyday!) Pizza Pan provided us with a hot lunch that was of a high enough quality for a large group of professionals to enjoy. They did it for a very small amount of money, no hassle, a smile, and epic precision. I suspect we’ll be ordering from here more often. Getting hot food for office groups can be really tough but these guys made it easy. If you need food for a group in Old Town on a budget, this is the 1st place I’d recommend.

It was raining cats and dogs. Our bicycles leaned mournfully against the bookshelves, tantalized earlier by the notion that they would be guided across the new Woodrow Wilson pedestrian bridge to the National Harbor over the course of the evening, only to have their spirits dampened by thousands of droplets hurling themselves to the ground. We wilted sullenly on the couch, slowly filling with that absurd desire for gluttony that so easily steps in when one’s desire to be active, healthy, and gorgeous has been thwarted. Suddenly, we heard a shuffle outside our door, and a Pizza Pan leaflet shot across our threshold. Perfect… Glancing at the menu, I initially thought that Pizza Pan would be more ideally located close to a university, as its jumble of pizzas, ribs, sandwiches, wings, salads, cookies, and beer(delivered!) would be most appealing after a couple of kegs had been kicked. Intrigued by the stuffed crust pizza option, we decided on a large pie with chicken and bacon. My order was taken cheerfully and promptly by a slightly flirtatious guy, and the numbers of my credit card were perched on my tongue, about the take flight when he suddenly asked what I would like on my second pizza. Aghast, I cursed a bit, unable to decide what else I wanted. Suddenly $ 30 had become three pizzas, which has never happened to me before. To be honest, because the selection of toppings is not that broad, I begged for a simple, cheesy pizza, until I was persuaded to order a meat-filled nightmare. Roaring with laughter, the guy finished our call and promised our order would arrive soon. Three gooey, cheesy pizzas heaped with toppings soon arrived, with a wonderfully soft crust and a bright, acidic tomato sauce. Far less salty than any delivery pizza I have tasted, I savored the pillowy crust filled with braids of cheese and its hunks of fresh, tender chicken. The meatballs on the specialty meats pizza were the most enjoyable of its toppings, savory, tender, and lacking the chewy, gummy texture of processed meat. I should note that people who prefer a New York crust(crispy on the bottom and foldable) will likely not enjoy the Pizza Pan’s crust, but those who enjoy Chicago pizza will think of Pizza Pan as a light option. We stuffed ourselves while watching a movie about sunnier places, and still had leftover pizza packed in our fridge a week later. I have since discovered their online ordering site, which is a bit confusing but ultimately worthwhile. I also found that they offer special deals on orders from businesses and churches. Definitely recommended for sheer gluttony, the most casual of parties, and weather-weary hearts.
