My husband went to see Dr. Roberson in the Lorton office on 12.6.12 for rheumatoid arthritis. After his exam, the doctor asked him to have blood work done. He said that once the results were in he would call my husband. He also stated that if my husband had not heard from him in a week or so to please call his office to follow up. My husband then went that afternoon to Labcorp and had the tests done. After a week went by, my husband called his office and was told that he was not in and that they would leave a message for him. During the holidays, I asked my husband if he ever heard from him. He stated he had not. I called Dr. Roberson’s office on Wednesday, January 2 and left a message. He did not return the call. I called his office on Thursday, January 3. He did not return the call. I called his office on Friday and told his secretary that if he did not return the call by the end of the day, Friday, to just mail the blood tests results to us and we would find another rheumatologist. He did not return the call. I called his office again the following Tuesday to follow up to make sure that the blood test results had been mailed. His secretary told me that Dr. Roberson called my husband on Monday. I asked her what for and I restated my instructions to her from the previous Friday’s conversation. After apologizing again and again for Dr. Roberson’s lack of responsiveness, she said she was taking it to the next level and talking to the office manager. When I told her that I thought this was an internal issue that needed some work and I would just like the results mailed, she said that Dr. Roberson really needed to review them before they are released. She said that the office manager was going to see Dr. Roberson as we spoke to see if she could get some explanation from Dr. Roberson as to why he was not responding and she would call me back. It is now Thursday and I have not heard from her. I doubt we will ever see theresults and now it is back to the drawing board.
