With his expertise based on over 25 years of personalized service and dedication to his clients. He is a trial lawyer licensed to practice before both Virginia state courts and the U.S. Federal courts. He is also a member of the Virginia State Bar.

Attorney Sgarlat was raised in the anthracite coal region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He worked his way through school in the mining and reclamation business as well as operating heavy equipment and welding. His family background was in mining, multi-​family residential development and in the restaurant/​bar businesses.

Mr. Sgarlat credits both his strong worth ethic and his manual labor skills to working on construction sites on electrical, plumbing, and welding projects and operating heavy equipment. He has always worked alongside the common man and he represents the ordinary «guy off the street» every day in courtrooms throughout Virginia.
