Established in 2014.

I started a year ago after finishing school at The George Washington University. While in school I took a semester course on aging in place/​universal design and that became my passion for three years. I did two internships with designers who were certified by the NAHB and AARP, and then became a certified aging in place specialist (CAPS). Since the creation of my business I have designed two separate bathrooms for clients with ALS. I have also designed a mudroom, foyer and living room all with elements of Aging in Place. I am currently designing the interior of a 120 person capacity tourism/​wedding event boat! My business is young, but you have to start somewhere. I am blessed to have found an amazing contractor with 20 years in the field who has become one of my best teachers. If I can envision it, my contractor and his highly skilled team can make it happen!

When I hired Windows to the Walls Interiors to help me update my aging mother’s home, I had the pleasure of working with Iris who not only counseled me on ways to modernize my mom’s home, but more importantly, how to make it safe for her to continue living there as she gets older. It was a fantastic experience (and who really likes to make construction changes to their home!) But we looked forward to the days when Iris came over while we were going through the process. The contractor she works with does spectacular work… and he was clean during the construction.
A bonus we hadn’t expected, Iris made suggestions on how to blend together my mom’s many antique items with a modern look that really makes the home look fresh and inviting. My mom LOVES her «new» home and she feels safe. I would recommend Windows to the Walls Interiors to anyone looking to modernize their home or make it safer or give it a fresh look.
